Male, and it should most definitely be legal.
I don't understand why people must divide themselves into groups and persecute one another. No crime has been commited, no people will be hurt.
I've opted into asexuality after thinking long and hard and realizing that I don't want a relationship (which I find funny since I'm VERY uninhibited when it comes to things like sex); however this doesn't mean I'm opposed to anyone getting married.
I have a joke that gay marraige makes more sense than straight marraige, because 2 guys or 2 girls are more likely to have stuff in common and get along than members of the OPPOSITE sex, and that we should be questioning straight marraige xd

I'm bisexual, and whenever I have a gay relationship, that is precisely what we talk about. Once you clear the air for the first time, everything just seems so open and there is such openness of communication. After all, communication is key to a stable relationship, isn't it?

So that joke has never made any actual sense to me, on any level o.o... P.S. Male, and No I do not think it should be legal = P

Why are you opposed? Does it offend you to see gay people in relationships? I mean, it doesn't hurt you in any way to accept them.

Well as far as I can tell this post isn't for debate, so I won't debate with you, on why or why not I accept it but I will (since I did point it out) go into a further explanation of my magnets. It is simply an analogy for explaining that in order for opposites to attract there must be some similarities, like 2 magnets attracting can only do so if they are both magnetic. Which is what I meant when I said that = P. But if you want to argue I would much rather not derail the point of this thread.

Everyone, including the government, has their own opinions on this most controversial of topics.

Female and I think it should be legal. Everyone should have a chance to marry the person that they love. Honest love is hard to find, you should be able to spend the rest of your life in a committed monogamous relationship even without the ring. But it still feels nice to have a contract binding two people under law, if Brittney Spears is allowed to get married, anyone should.

My false analogy radar is tingling. Just because two things correlate in some way does not mean that other things correlate in the same way. Magnets =/= human beings. Here's a little rule of thumb, if you buy the analogy, you've bought the argument. The analogy shouldn't ever be taken to be true unless you know what it means. This could make a great thread in ExDisc, you two. Why don't you take it there?

Don't judge me. Just love me. I'm not a criminal, I'm innocent So come and set me free!Female, and yes, it should be legal. The love in a marriage is a sacred bond between 2 different hearts. NOT 2 different genders. I choose ecstasy. And music's my religion. Magic is my kingdom And the dance floor is m heaven.

Male, my mind is rather indecisive on the matter, I lean towards yes.
The problem here is that marriage really roots down to religious ideals, thus why people usually get married under a priest. I fully support the idea of the relationship/union of two homosexuals, but the use of the word "marriage" can easily insult people with religious beliefs that are against homosexuality, which are found most common among christians and/or catholics. Aside from that small little issue, I feel gay marriage is completely fine.

It's not so much that I think gay marriage should be legal so much as I believe that marriage itself is stupid. Too many people these days manipulate the legal benefits of marriage to make a financial gain from the ordeal. In fact, many of my friends were born from an unmarried couple probably because of that exact reason. I'd say about 60% of my friends have parents who were never married. But if it does have to be a simple yes or no answer, I'd say Yes as long as heterosexual marriage remains legal.

...because reality is finally better than your dreams... I am sorry and I know this is derailing but you seem to be misunderstanding the use of an analogy ^^", which is merely to make a correlation within an idea, or to make an idea more easily understood by putting it into a different form. So technically there is not 'false' analogy since I never made the claim that magnets were humans but that magnets= similarities and dissimilarities and how to better understand the correlation between the idea. =P
