"Thank you, mother. Thank you for your blessing." Nudge, ever the proud, mouthy buck, is humbled by his mother's actions, and awed by the thought of his offspring.
His skepticism is now battling with his hope that the charms his mother makes are real, and his hope wins. "And I am sorry that I have doubted you in the past." He bows his head to her, asking silently for her forgiveness, for he knows his conduct previously was unbecoming and bordering on rude.
He gives Meets a soft, warm smile, and nuzzles her cheek. "You will be an excellent mother, Meets. And I am so glad that you have met my mother."

Spider seems pleased at Nudge's behavior -- although the look in her eyes has persisted through Meets' joy and Nudge's apology. It is mirth; Wood Spider is a gentle soul and this pleases her more than her dignity would have her admit. At least openly. She tosses her hair away from her eyes and then nods. "Of course. I would do no less for any of my children. My interests are in line with your own, and all of the swamp."
After a moment, her head tips in a nod before she wheels around; it seems as if the two love-struck kimeti need some time alone with themselves now that the secret of an impending clutch is out in the open. That much is evident in the way Nudge nuzzles Meets-the-Sea's cheek; Spider has seen this before, and has done it herself, though that buck is long gone.
"Let me know how things work out. I would like to meet my grandchildren one day," she adds, and then -- perhaps meant strictly for Nudge, "You've done better than your brother in that regard." She smiles at them -- a moment later she turns to walk away, all stately elegance, and disappears into the mangroves a few moments later.
