Taking a couple deep breaths, Jericho stared at the girl for a few moments. Ok. This was going to be his final attempt. He was damn determined to get it right this time around though.
Nodding to the girl, he gritted his teeth and made sure his stool was firmly in place. When he was ready, he got into position and began.
Perhaps it was his sheer determination that distracted Levi. Who knew? But the dragon finally won. And immediately his foul mood went away.
"Finally.." he sighed.

Damien could only watch in morbid fascination as Jericho kept..... failing in an arm wrestling match. it was just so odd for the boil to lose a battle of strength, and yet.... so humorous. "Hey Jer, maybe you should just accept the loss, she got you beat 4- 1." He told the boil, hoping he could just walk away and save face. Maybe the stool just didn't like him?
Fire and wood don't play nice with each other He supposed.
He gave Jove another friendly pat and gave a smile to the shorter boil. He was glad to finally have a chance to talk to him for once. He returned his look of mortification with one of optimism, a grin that never faltered on his face. "Ya never know bub, you might have the strength within you to beat her, but you won't know till you try it, right?"
He had to turn away from his gentle coaxing to the foxfire and saw another ghoul that he couldn't recall seeing before. At least she seemed pleasant enough, he thought as she introduced herself to the hound. "Its a pleasure to meet you LW." he said while giving her a small bow. "Oh its just a friendly round of arm wrestling, trying to get Jove here too give it a shot." He was sure that Jove would be able to beat her If he could only try, but he wouldn't push him too much. He then tilted his head at LW and plucked a stray strand of hair from his face, gravity defying hair that didn't want to do its job today. "how bout you, ya wanna try as well? There's even free candy here, so no harm no foul." he said behind his smile.
Damien wouldn't dare scare the others about Levi and her frying pan, the less they knew about that, the better.

Indeed, Levi was initially focused on the battle at hand. Yet as soon as the boil became serious and put everything he had into it, she felt herself examining his character more than the challenge itself. In that, she lost... but could not have been more proud. She immediately smiled at the winged boil, ignoring what was green and fuzzy. Knew ya had it in ya, fellar. Good ta finally git yer real fight out. Ya didn't let me down
She nodded to Jericho in respect. Names Levi. Hope I'll get a rematch with ya sometime... no stools, neither. She had to give a snicker at the situation in itself.

Hearing the comment made by the hellhound, Jericho glared over at him.
"Yeah. Yeah. Shut it," he mumbled before turning his attention back towards the cat-eared girl. At least she wasn't mocking him for his repeated failures. He was pretty close to incinerating the stool on the spot really.
"I'm Jericho. Pleasure to meet you," he greeted with a nod.

Pleasure's all mine, Jericho.
Something about Jericho's wings was vaguely familiar to her. Like- something she'd heard of before. Tapping her chin with a finger and raising a brow in thought, Levi asked the question she'd felt as though she asked many times before on campus already.
What kinda critter are ya?...

At the question, Jericho blinked and tilted his head. People generally were able to guess what he was but he supposed there weren't really any dragons where Levi had come from.
"I'm a dragon. A red dragon to be exact," he replied.

Levi's eyes widened. Dragon...yes! That was it! Growing up, stories from her Gran pertained to dragons. She'd said- these were her ancestors; that tatzelwurms were a part of this larger kind of critter, but were different too. She wanted to address Jericho about his kin more...thusly learning about the history of her kin, but this was not the time. She owed more of her fellow students fair challenges. I'll need ta git back ta ya regardin' this...

Petro had little reason to be in the main academy building. Usually he would just walk past it but today he'd noticed groups of students had started to gather there and almost instantly his herding instincts kicked in. When he got to the source, the monster horse brightened at the prospect of a physical challenge. After the Fitness Club's paintball practice he'd been itching to do more than just run.
He hadn't arrived early enough to witness Jericho's attempts but he did give the red dragon a friendly grin. Not to mention Demi whom he had never formally met but vaguely remembered from paintball practice. When he realized who it was exactly he was going to arm wrestle with, he suddenly thought twice about going through with it. Mostly because Levi was a ghoul, and well, Petro needed to jump through some mental hoops before he could justify arm wrestling with her.
Eventually he convinced himself that she had issued the challenge and thus he had every right to defend his honor. He gave the white-haired ghoul a grin that promised he wasn't going to hold back. Except from out of nowhere something smacked into the side of his head.
Something sticky and sweet and Petro was on his feet with a furious growl, wildly searching for the culprit. "WHO THE JACKING HELL THREW THAT?! Y' WANT A FIGHT? Y' GONNA GET ONE!!!!"

When no one admitted to throwing the pie at the horse boil, Petro snorted in disgust. He wiped the filling off his face, fuming and muttering curses beneath his breath. Eventually he sat himself back down for a rematch with Levi. Unfortunately for him, someone kicked the back of his stool and cost him the match. His reaction was not as violent as the pie-throwing one, but the grimace of his features promised his fist was going to make itself very acquainted with the face of whoever it was that kicked his stool should it ever happen again.

Any sort of pleasantries Petro might have made with Levi or anyone present was officially out the window the instant another piece of food hit him. It wasn't about the match anymore to the monster boil. None of the other students looked guilty to him, nor did they look smug about the prank. Besides. Most of them were standing behind him in line. The pie and now this, this, what in Jack's name was this thing? It was like half an empanada or something.
"Swear, 'm going gnome hunting after this," he muttered.

((ooc: clearly, the dice hate Petro))
The boil's hand shot out to grab at the person closest to his stool. Apparently it wasn't a student who'd been doing the kicking. It was a gnome. He got to his feet, turned to Levi, "S'cuse me," and promptly left to punt the gnome as far as he could.

Apparently the gnome had friends. Tro barely sat down for one more attempt when a veritable barrage of varying foodstuffs assaulted him. The monster horse only saw red as he charged at the gnomes, chasing them right out of the building.

Amrita saw a line of people. She liked lines. They were orderly and there was a point to them, nothing dangerous could come from orderly lines. Well, at least that was what her rotting little head believed, anyway. It was probably because she'd seen people she recognized in the line; Riley, Jericho, Petro...and though most of them left in an unhappy (or in Petro's case, charging) state, the point was they were in the line, so it had to have been exciting.
Arm wrestling was not what she was expecting.
She'd never arm wrestled before! How did you arm wrestle when your hand was backwards?! It wasn't gonna be easy, but she made a promise when she joined the line to at least see where it ended. Apparently, that was with arm wrestling.
...There was no harm in trying, right?

Ooou, she lost! But the way the white-haired ghoul looked at her...well, she just had to try again! It seemed necessary to her, after all. Thanking the ghoul for her time, the timid little thing found the end of the line and waited.
Oh, she did love lines!
Eventually her time came again, and with a sheepish grin to the ghoul, she awkwardly grasped her hand.

...Amrita was pretty sure this happened before. The pleading stare, the resolve to get back in line, the actual getting back in line, and the realization that she loved lines. She often had momentary lapses of memory where she would repeat herself and not realize it until later, but she never quite remembered replaying a nearly exact scene twice! It was new, and she reflected on it while she waited for her next turn.
