Peeko childishwishes I'm very disappointed. Green Day only took Rock Album of the Year. Green Day Authority mentioned that sentiment might appear in this years Grammys and please don't judge this as rude to the late Ray Charles, but I think they are right. It's rude to the other bands that they are running against a dead guy because he doesn't even get it, and he won Best Album of the Year and Best Record, which implies that it was a memorial thing to give him that award. They shouldn't have let Ray Charles go up for it, because it's not like it can help him get any better or be better known because he is not alive!! I feel very badly for Green Day, because I know they wanted those awards very much, and I think they deserve them more than a deceased person, by all means.. Like I said, I cannot get over my utter disappointment, for Green Day may not get another chance at such an award. I doubt green day give a s**t about awards to be honest, they've never made music so some organisation can give them a pat on the back and tell them how good they are. The fact is ray charles produced a fantastic album, it deserved to win because it was the best album in my opinion, it may have been because hw passed away but award ceremonies are usually about hype. Awards are complete bullshit. Get over it! who won the dance awards? um actually Green Day did care about that award. In numerous articles they said how they want Album of the Year and that they think they deserve it but- whatever. I'm going to think what I will so you can too xd

Shame they only won one award. They deserved so much more, but it's better to have won one than none at all.
I would've enjoyed thje American Idiot so much more if my brother hadn't asked me so many questions about Green Day during the preformance. >_<

U2 is poop. Vertigo is a steaming pile of crap and didn't deserve to win nearly as many awards as it did. Even my dad admits that U2 is past their prime. And the academy needs to stop giving awards to dead people. Kthnxbye.
But I did like that Billie was included in the Tsunami benefit song. That was cute. I missed Green Day's performance because I was on the way home from my cousin's house.

Ray is dead. he can't really get any other chance to win any awards. Green Day can. They're still kicking, while Ray is dead... The Darkness won best band of 2004 in some award thing and they didn't even do anything in 2004.... Leave Ray alone. he was great. He got that award because they are making a movie about his life (which looks really good!!). (Just for clarification, I didn't see the awards, so anything I say about them that's wrong, just ignore it. I'm basing my argument on stuff I heard from other people...) Arg, I'm annoyed at you now punkROCKer506. I... You... Just... Ack, I agree with Peeko. Look at what he wrote. AlienX I didn't see it either. I don't really care much for award shows. They're all the same except for the dresses. And as for everybody who got so upset about how they only won one award, it's not that huge of a deal. Half of you said you hate Boulevard of Broken Dreams and admit that American Idiot is not thier best album. If this is true, why is it that they deserve these awards? Sorry, just making an observation. When Nimrod or Dookie wins an award, I'll start watching these shows again. I don't really like award shows either. They're really irritating, esp. the hosts. Vin Diesal at last years one in a kilt for ******** sake...! They didn't deserve to win, because they made much better albums than American Idiot. Whenever I bring up the Grammys, my dad starts ranting about how much he hates Bono, Celebrity 'propaganda' (NOW EVERYBODY DO THE PROPAGANDA), and Democrats. It's rather annoying.
