"But they don't want what we want. You just haven't seen it yet." he shook his head again. "They wan to throw probably hundreds of 'kids' out of their homes, away from their families, and out into space where we would have nothing but ruins. That is all they want. They want normality at the cost of every senshi's normality."

He'd heard it from the mouths of the Negaverse. The Senshi needed to go 'home' and they would kill them all to get them off earth. Despite the fact that each of the senshi he'd met had been born here.

"I wasn't told to fight." In fact he hadn't been told much but that wasn't the point. "I was told to protect. They will see no peaceful solution. Their -only- solution is throwing every senshi off this planet back where we 'came from'. Even though just like them we were born here. They're leaders want all of us dead."

Elysion had taught him that if nothing else. There was a darkness behind the Negaverse that was worse than anything they'd ever seen.

"There is no other way Camelot. Maybe you can talk a few of them into changing sides but the evil behind them will just make dozens more to take their place. It will continue to do so until everyone like you and I is dead."

"I can't let that happen," Camelot said softly. He didn't want to drive the senshi off, but he didn't want them both to keep killing each other. What would the use be? They were fighting an endless, hopeless war.

As far as Camelot could figure it, he didn't see either side winning. Not without impossible costs to themselves, each other, and to the civilians of the planet. He'd heard from negas about the 'true' inhabitants of the planet, of the need to drive others out.

As far as the Page of Earth was concerned, the planet was home to whoever was living on it, no matter where they were from.

"There has to be another way. And we can find it. I know they aren't all like that, like that... woman... whatever she is. I know some senshi don't even want to protect. They don't want their powers, or this life. I don't believe they're lost causes. Whatever is corruptible can also be cleansed. And I'm going to keep trying. I'm sorry you don't feel there's any other way, but I'm just not ready to believe that this..." he saw those dead people in his mind, "has to be like this."

He closed his eyes for a moment almost feeling sorry for the older man. "You'll see in time. They all become like Tanzanite eventually." Maybe not that powerful, if they did the Senshi were doomed, but they all became as hell driven and evil as her. It was inevitable after giving yourself to the darkness like that.

"If they can be cleansed most would have to be forced. They choose their life and their side." If they really wanted to be normal they could just forget fighting and never power up again. They choose to continue fighting.

Camelot looked at the senshi, feeling bad for him, in a way. He sounded like he had already seen too much for a man his age, and that was just one of the many travesties this war was producing. Tony could hardly stand it, seeing kids being hurt and killed, traumatized and exhausted. Fighting for things they didn't understand, or were made to understand in strange and completely unfair ways.

Nothing about it was right.

"We all make choices we don't understand. We make choices without thinking of the consequences, and definitely without knowing where we will end up. If some, even one, member of the Negaverse made a choice that they no longer believe in, or are as confused about their ability to fight as some of the senshi I've met are, then I'll fight for them, as well."

He sighed, knowing he could talk about it until he was blue in the face, but it would get him no where. He had to do it.

"I should go, get back to patrol. Please don't give up all hope in them." He paused, realizing he didn't know the others name. Or in all the chaos he had forgotten it? "And stay safe yourself."

"Some of us didn't make a choice." He hadn't been asked if he wanted this life, if he wanted powers that he didn't understand, he'd just been told it was his duty. He wouldn't have wanted it either. After his parents death though and after what he knew was out there now he wasn't sure he'd ever want to give it up.

If any of the Negaverse stopped believing in their choice all they ahd to do was choose to stop. There were those out there who would help them and protect them, one of them was standing in front of him.

"If you're going to give me advice about not loosing hope then take some yourself. Some of them can't be saved and there is no point in trying." Tanzanite was one. Whatever she was now proved it. "You will have to kill to keep someone safe eventually."

For all that his voice sounded firm there was still something sad in his eyes as he shook his head and turned to vault himself back up onto the room of one of the surrounding buildings. He paused at the edge of the roof and looked back down. "If you ever need advice or help keeping them from killing someone else I'm not that hard to find. Arsinoe, ask for him and someone can find me.

The knight nodded.

There was an air of naivety to him, really, and he knew it. He was seeking this ideal world and solution where war could be stopped without casualties, but that was impossible. He knew that, as well. The pursuit was not blind, he told himself, he understood that even a peaceful tactic could not be sorrow free.

Arsinoe was right, and some would be beyond help. Camelot would not give up on them too early, however. He nodded his head, though, taking the advice to heart. It was for his own safety, and for that of those he cared about and could protect, to be aware of enemies that would always be enemies.

He looked up at the senshi, and managed to smile despite himself and the whirling in his mind.

"Thank you, Arsinoe," he said, bowing his head a little to the senshi on the roof, "if you ever need a knight's help, Camelot will be there to serve and protect."
