Tony nodded thoughtfully.
"It's difficult, I know. It's easier, in a way, to live a normal life not knowing all this stuff is out here, or at least not experiencing it beyond news stories. But there's always that risk of running into something or someone and then just... not knowing what to do. And innocent people get hurt."
He sighed.
"I believe there is a way to fight, without picking sides or killing. All this waste of life, all these lives getting stolen or used... I'm going to do what I can to stop it. To change things. It might be difficult, or impossible, but if everyone just gives up to the way things are now, subscribing to some kill or be killed idea, then that's exactly how it's going to stay. I certainly wouldn't mind help, though."
Dogby shifted in his arms and he looked down at her, patting her head as she nuzzled against him.
"Yeah, you can visit me any time you want at the library. I'm more often there than I am anywhere else. I need to get home, before Dogby somehow permanently affixes herself to me. It was a pleasure meeting you, though the circumstances might have been better. Stay safe." He smiled warmly, sincerely.

"Same," he said, once again agreeing with the librarian. There were a lot of things he was saying that made a lot more sense to him than 'you have to fight, you have to kill' from a certain cat... He didn't want to see any life go to waste, and although he hadn't met these... Senshi or Negaverse people, he still knew that they fought and that people were dying.
And he hated that...
"It was nice meeting you, too," Chris said with a nod and small smile at the dog in the other man's arms, holding Annabel a bit tighter to himself. "I'll see you around, then," he said, taking a few steps in the opposite direction to start heading home.
Well, that encounter had been much more positive than his first monster he fought. At least there were others in the city who thought the same way he did about all this fighting and killing business. He didn't like it in the least bit, so he was definitely going to be looking forward to talking to Mr. Darrow again.
