Nadia resisted her urge to chuckle at Silas calling Cambria nice. Cambria hadn't exactly been mean persay, but a predator recognized its own kind.
"Cambria is interesting at any rate. Earlier I was dancing a dance called the tandava. It's supposed to be a dance of creation and destruction according to myths. But I bet you could learn a little bit of dancing if you tried. Enough to dance with someone if you wanted to at least. I could teach you sometime if you liked."

"She really is." He nodded in agreement, though he probably meant it sincerely rather than with a slight negative connotation. "Oh, that sounds neet. I'd laik to lern if you would... I can teech you to paint if you want?" He perked up at the offer. It would be a good way to spend time with a friend that wasn't part of his new, rather large family.

Nadia gave a nod and a smile. "That sounds like a fair trade to me." She'd never taken a particular interest in painting, but she thought it would be good to learn about other kinds of arts rather then just dancing. "It's a deal." Nadia glanced up and noticed some darker clouds rolling in.
"Hey I think we ought to head in though, looks like a storm."

"Oh, yeah..." Silas looked back over his shoulder to see the clouds gathering. "We can go to the dorms? Or we can go to me house..?" He shrugged, either destination was fine with him, that is, if Nadia still wanted to "hang out." He figured he should probably specify that, since Asu had brought up that it was rude to invite himself into things. "I meen, if you wanna. I can go home if you want."

"How about we go to your house?" She could use a change of location, besides she was kinda curious what Silas's house looked like. Taking the chord to her headphones she wrapped it around her mp3player and slipped it into her pocket. She gave him a bit of a smile to reassure him since it seemed to her like maybe he wasn't sure if she would want to hang out with him.
"Well, lead the way!"

"Okay, lets do that then." He nods a little, and offers a hand for her to take before heading back up the hill towards Asu's house. It was a bit of a walk, but thankfully the clouds didn't let loose any rain before they arrive.
Silas opens the door and shuffles in, then waits for Nadia to come in before closing it. "Mummy! I gots a friend overrr!" He announces their presence quite loudly, which... gets nothing in response. Silence.
"Mummy must be botherin' One'a m'bruthers." He shrugs and then takes off his shoes before stepping further into the house. "You wanna do somethin'? I c'n teech you how to draw orrrr we c'n watch tv!"

Nadia blinked slightly as Silas offered her his hand but she happily took it anyway. She was just a little surprised at the gesture since it wasn't really something anyone had done other then her mother. Walking hand in hand with him, she was really glad they made it all the way to Silas's house with not even a drop being freed from the heavy clouds about them. She wasn't particular fond of water being more fire based herself.
As they entered the house she looked around for signs of any adults and took in the appearance of the house. It seemed like a nice enough place, and it didn't really bother her that there were no adults around.
"I think I'd like it if you taught me how to draw for now, we can watch tv after?" Nadia gave Silas a rare genuine smile.

Silas grinned his trademark lazy grin, and nodded. "Okey, Imma go get m'drawin stuff from m'room if y'wanna go to the livin' room?" He pointed over at the area with two couches, a TV and a coffee table. "It'll prolly be eesier t'draw on the coffee table, I think." With another nod, he headed off down a hallway to grab his supplies.
A few moments later he returned, figuring by that time Nadia had already gone to the living room. He then headed over to the coffee table and plopped down onto the ground before setting down two sketchbooks and a pencil case.

Nadia had indeed already made her way into the living room while Silas had gone off to fetch his drawing materials. As she looked around at the room she sat on the couch and waited for Silas to return. She wasn't waiting long before Silas returned and began setting things up on the table. She slid from the couch onto the floor in front of the other sketchbook and turned to look at Silas expectantly.
"So what first?"

Silas opened up one of the pencil cases, and then retrieved two pencils, one he handed to Nadia. "Well, that depends on whatyer gonna draw..." He shrugged a little and scooted closer to the table. "I guess mebbe we can draw ummm... how 'bout a cat?" Silas grinned a little and then readied his pencil.
"First y'gotta... get yer sketch ready 'cause that's easier than just tryna draw a cat." He nodded a bit and drew a circle on the paper. "Thissuns the head."

Nadia listened closely to what Silas said and watched as he began drawing the cat. She glanced back and from from that to her own paper and after a moment she drew a circle onto her paper as well.
"Like this? Is this a good size?" She'd tried to copy Silas as closely as possible, but the circle had ended up a bit smaller then she'd intended. "Maybe I made it too small..." She frowned a little and glanced at the eraser pondering if she should grab it and start over.

Silas glanced over to her paper, then nodded. "Issokay, yer cat will just be smaller is all." He nodded again, then drew two little triangles on the top of the circle. "These're the eers..."
After awhile of instruction, the result was a very basic looking cat made out of simple shapes. "There... thass jus' the basics though, then we can make it moar reelistic if we wan'ed."

Nadia continued to draw a simple cat, following the instructions that Silas gave her. It wasn't so bad to draw when she had step by step instructions from someone. Leaning back slightly she took in her drawing, and glanced over to Silas's. His was better, but that was to be expected since he was much more experienced. She was satisfied that hers at least resembled a cat however.
"Well what would we do if we wanted to make it realistic then?" She leaned back forward and put her elbow on the table before resting her head in her hand and turning to peer at Silas.

"Well, to mayk it more reelistic umm..." He paused, thinking of a good way to explain it. "Y'gotta mayk the fur an' mayk it less umm... blocky?" He shrugged and started sketching on his. "I can' relly describe it so you can watch?" He glanced up at Nadia for a second, then looked back down to the cat drawing.

"It's ok I'll just watch you and then you can help me try to do it too?" She nodded a bit and settled in to be more comfortable and watch him work. It was fun watching him bring the once blocky looking cat to life. She continued to watch him until he finished up and then let him help her with her own drawing. Suddenly though she heard the clock chime and it brought her out of her drawing reverie.
"I didn't even realize the time... I should probably get going. We'll have to do dance lessons next time, which will be soon right?" She had really enjoyed spending time with Silas. Something about him put her at ease, similar to how she felt when she hung out with her oldest brother. As she stood she took her drawing with her, her mother would probably want to put it up on the fridge.
