Killed his own food? Barbaric, thought the natural scavenger. No matter, he glanced over his hunch as they approached the tree, sizing it up and listening quietly to see if there was anything going on inside. At the question, he paused, looking to his new friend again before curling his fingers in a "Rrrrrrr!" sort of motion- Fear kept him alive, mostly. But to clarify, his hand went to his pocket again, this time producing the syringe he sometimes used to drink.

Erm. Sharp pointy thing - he had no idea how it worked, but if that was how the creature ate then, whatever kept him alive he supposed? They were stopped at a tree now, though. Was it some kind of special tree? Aurel went up to it and pet lovingly at its trunk - If Christof liked trees, they'd get along juuuust fine.
"You like trees, then. Is this a special one?"

Christof nodded, a glimmer in his eye as his mouth twisted into a smile like a squirming centipede. A very special tree.
Unceremoniously, but as quietly as he could, he hoisted himself up into the branches, climbing with practiced grace to that even more special branch.

Aurel watched as the hunchback climbed up the tree like he'd done it a few hundred times. He had to wonder what was so special about the tree, though, and letting his curiosity get the better of him he pulled himself up into the branches as well - climbing swiftly without any effort whatsoever.
Trees. He understood them - and had been climbing them his entire life which definitely gave him help. "What are we doing up here...?"

Still beaming with glee, Christof leaned forward, putting a finger to his lips to silence the demon before gesturing to his mismatched eyes before pointing to the windows in the school building beside them.
Distantly, they could hear the sounds of running water and female giggling. From right where they crouched, one got a fairly decent and unsteamy view of the girl's shower room... and it seemed like a class had just let out.

That creature looooked faaaar too happy. Aurel leaned forward to look at what he was pointing at only to see the girls in the shower room. Now, Aurel had never seen a girl before today, really, and he'd never had much interest in anything of the sexual nature. He vaguely knew about it from the animals and such but, again, it had never held his interest overmuch. Unfortunately, he didn't share the same glee that the hunchback seemed to have. What was so special? They were people who were getting clean - he did it himself!
"...Is this a common past time?" He questioned, looking very confused.

Concentration on the dancing parts flitting in and out of view from behind their towels, the hunchback turned to scowl at the demon, cocking his head to the side in confusion himself. He wasn't excited? This was the best view on campus! Bah. Some people didn't know a good thing. Maybe this Aurel was as ghoulish as Calder.
He raised a hand to start to try to clarify when there came an ominous crack beneath them. Apparently the branch had taken quite a lot of traffic, but usually one passenger at a time. With the weight of two, it began to bend dangerously.

Why would he be excited about watching others bathe? He bathed every night! It wasn't anything exciting, just a simple part of life. "I do not under---" He began, stilling and shutting up when the branch began to crack.
What was it with this - this - creature - and cracking branches?! Trees really must not like him very much. "...Do not move. I am going to jump up to the next branch. Can you make it to the branch below quickly without using much weight...?"
Because Aurel was not sure he could catch him. Not unless he got down first and changed size!

Christof's eyes remained wide, but he was intent on not making a sound... or any sudden moves, lest the girls on the other side of the window heard or saw him- no no no this was the best branch! He gingerly eased himself down to a lower one, relieving the tension on the larger one they had been crouched on... unfortunately the foothold he found was on an even older, drier, and ready to crack limb.
If there was one thing the hunchback had gotten tired of very quickly, it was falling from tall objects. At least it wasn't as far as the roof this time, and he only lost a hand in the process. He landed with an oomf, and laid still for a moment before opening one eye, and then the other, blinking up at Aurel with a rather annoyed expression before lifting his severed limb with a frustrated grunt as he examined the torn stitches. Fabulous. The hand hung from the wrist, swinging uselessly. How embarrassing!

As Christof moved to the lower branch, Aurel dug his fingers into the bark and maneuvered himself to the branch above, leaving the weak and cracking one they were on to ease. He could almost feel the damn thing groan with relief. Maybe he should start watching his weight a little better...
Aurel flinched as the second branch broke and he went tumbling down to the ground. First instinct was to jump down and make sure the hunchback wasn't hurt too badly and, in fact, he began to scurry down the tree moments later - careful of branches just in case - stopping only once feet were firmly on the ground.
There was a flood of relief when Christof's eyes opened and he moved. At least he wasn't dead or severely injured...except for the, uh, loose hand with a lack of connection to the wrist. That could not be pleasant - but there had been no screaming, cursing, or otherwise sign of pain so he had to assume it wasn't as bad as it looked. A grimace was given, "...Uh. Well. I am guessing that could have been worse. Will you be well?" Hand was extended to help the boy up, hoping his good hand would take him up on the offer.

Christof gave an embarrassed grunt, his face flushed as he offered out his clawed, monstrous left hand to help pull him into a sitting position. More importantly... none of the ghouls had heard him. That was good. If they were caught, he'd have more than just a loose hand to worry about.
He wove a hand dismissively, trying to stop Aurel's worry as he plucked a couple safety pins from his pocket, tugging at the fingerless glove on the injured hand to pin it to the flesh of his wrist. That would hold for now. He wiggled a few fingers to prove his point.
Right.
Their tour.
Hmmm... where would the next stop be...?

"...Well that is very useful." He mused, watching the safety pin keep the limb on and actually let him use it. Admittedly the Leshy had absolutely no idea what the crap a safety pin was but if he could do that it was something he would likely need to get his hands on. Just in case he started falling apart like everyone else seemed to here!
"It does not hurt?" He had to make sure. Aurel and pain did not get along well (he learned this when he was a sprout) and he couldn't imagine anyone else liking it either.
So. What was next? Aurel looked around, trying to think. "...Where else will you take me?"

Christof shook his head in regards to the question, but after a moment shrugged, lifting the now-mended hand in a so-so motion.
Let's see, he had showed him the cafeteria, the Peeping Tree... The graveyard was a bit too much of a hike. Rubbing his hands and inching towards the half-naked boil, he was tempted to direct him to the Maul. But again, that was too far a hike. Aurel did seem like he was severely in need of some clothes. Although, he supposed, ladies were less upset about those nicely shaped parts than more misshapen streakers... (he coughed the thought away with embarrassment.)
The hunchback motioned to Aurel again, before motioning outward, trying desperately once again to see if he had any requests for their tour.
