The Rainbow Boys by Alex Sanchez is a really good book if anyone wants some good gay-fiction to read.
It's also got a sequel named Rainbow High but I haven't gotten a chance to read that yet.

The Fool series by Robin Hobb has its slashy moments (I am a firm Fool/Fitz shipper although I've never come across any fanfic of them). I don't want to say too much because it'll spoil it, but don't read it if you're into requited love.

If you don't mind the whole sex, drugs, and music theme--you guys should check out Poppy Z. Brite, she writes gothic slashy stuff. The only two of her books I can personally say are good though is here Drawing Blood and Lost Souls, Lost Souls' plot and a couple of its characters are kind of annoying though--not to mention there's some incest (and its not remotely sex, so for all you Fred/George, Lucius/Draco type fangirls, it's not on those levels more likely). However the main pairing in Drawing Blood is great, although its loaded with angst and more angst. Lost Souls has an implied couple that manages to be cute and charming, which makes up for the crapiness of the incest thing however. But if you do decide to read them, read Drawing Blood first, it's better and just, not as likely to squick you out. Beware though, both are kind of gritty.

I am only on Chapter 5 of Storm Constantine, The Enchaments of Flesh and Spirit (Revised 2003 Edition (Wraethtu Series) but I love the book (ecspeclise(sp) The Sharing of Berth xd ). And look forward to reading more of her books (she has lots). I like the Idea of Pell/Cal more than Seel/Cal but I haven’t read if Seel and Cal are together yet . Must read more now.

If any of you are looking for explicit yaoi, then read The Line of Beauty by Alan Hollinghurst. I think he won the Man Booker Prize earlier this year. Good Stuff. blaugh

It makes for some interesting reading when I picked it up at 12. Maybe that's what got me hooked on all the slashy stuff... *runs off to ponder this.*
