"Pleasure," The red head nodded in return, a smile creeping onto her lips. It wasn't hard to tell where she worked, nor where she had just come from. She wore a lab coat with the local hospital's name and emblem over the left breast, a stethoscope hanging out of one of her pockets. Either she liked to play dress up and was a stripper...or she worked at the hospital.
"My name is Ginger," Ironic name...maybe she was a stripper, "I'm glad I got a chance to meet you. I'm not home very often. The girls at work will be interested to know I live next to a rock star now." Her grin almost seemed playful as she looked at Jess. Oh, she knew who he was and not because Klyde had told her. "You're even more dashing looking in person."
"M...Mom," Klyde interrupted not sure where this was going. It felt a little wrong somehow.
"Oh, don't be such a stick in the mud Klyde." His mother smiled closing the distance to her son so that she could ruffle his hair.
"Mommy, mommy!" Claire chimed running up to her mother. "Kitty and Papa Kitty came to visit. Papa Kitty found out Rosco can make cookies with magics."
"Really now," the woman smiled at the little girl before patting her on the head. "That's amazing, darling." The enthusiasm wasn't entirely there but she wasn't accustomed to being around the small child often. That and she was a little worn.
"I hope Klyde has been treating you well," Ginger said looking over toward Riyo with those intense green eyes.

Jess held back his desire to comment on the irony of a vampire working in a hospital, more interested in the fact she was a woman. A beautiful woman. Who he now lived next door to. Ignore the fact that she may or may not still be currently married...
"It's a shame you're not home often. I'd be happy to give you a couple of autographs on the house or... Other things..." God forbid he beat around the bush very long... At least he didn't specify what those other things were. "That is, if you don't mind my silly pink hat." He was going to prove a point here about men in pink hats, apparently.
Riyo tried to keep her disgusted cringe on the inside as it appeared their parents were... Flirting. Oh sweet Jesus.. She would need to have a talk with her father when they got home about this..
It took her a moment to realize the beautiful woman was talking to her with all the thoughts running through her head. "Oh! y-yes, he is." Riyo couldn't help but blush a little, not really expecting to be treated so nicely. "Thank you.."

"I find it charming," Ginger mused, looking to the pink hat with a smile.
Klyde could only roll his eyes at that. This whole situation was making his stomach do flip flops. Any more of it and he was in danger up revisiting his lunch. "That's great Mom...great. Shouldn't you stop in and see Dad?" He tried to emphasize the word for both parent's benefit.
Ginger smiled at Klyde, if not a little coyly. "Perhaps. Be a good boy and show our guests around won't you? Our new neighbors should feel comfortable and welcome here. I'm going to go change so I'll find you a bit later." The female vampire gave a little wave, her eyes settling on Jess a little longer than needed before she clip clopped her way down the hall to go change into something more comfortable. Which Klyde had to worry at this point what it might be.
Shifting a slight glare in Jess' direction, it was easy to see that Klyde was less than pleased.
Beaming Claire walked back up to Jess. "I think Momma liked Papa Kitty." Though the level of 'like' eluded the girl. She just knew that her mother was being friendly, as she was often friendly with some of the butlers or the pool boy.
"I can show you around," Claire offered, reaching up her hand for Jess to take. Apparently holding hands for a tour was required.

Charming. She hadn't just agreed that she liked it, but called it charming.
And then Klyde had to go and ruin the moment. So she was married. Not happily if she was flirting like that. "See you later then." Jess smiled and waved as Ginger left.
"You owe me $100." He pointed out to Klyde with a s**t-eating grin and adjusted the silly hat on his head, fully prepared to trot around the whole house with it if need be.
Riyo could only fold her arms against her chest and give her father an 'Oh no you di'nt' look, extremely displeased with his behavior. How long had he been willing to sleep with married women like that?
"You think so Claire?" Jess asked with a big smile, taking the girls hand without a second thought.
"You're sick." Riyo hissed.
"Sick?" Pressing his other hand to his forehead, Jess attempted to take his own temperature. "Well... I am a little hot." BA DM CHH.
"... I hate you."

"I never agreed to your stupid bet," Klyde said flatly. "And stay away from my mom." Klyde warned. He wasn't above punching Jess in the face again, especially for something like this.
Claire remained blissfully unaware to why Klyde was so upset. Instead she was leading Jess back toward the door. "I can show you the kitchen and the den. There's lots of books there but none have any pictures." She didn't seem to understand why they wouldn't, pictures always made books more fun. "There is also the sitting room, and the craft room. Mommy spends a lot of her time in there when she's home. Upstairs is my room. Rosco has his picture all over the wall." Her bedroom was themed after the little raccoon. It was a raccoon explosion.
Klyde gave a bit of a sigh watching Claire lead Jess out the door. Somehow he felt there was a storm on the horizon, a nasty one that he was going to be in the middle of fruitlessly trying to stop it.
"Care for tour number two?" Klyde held out his hand to Riyo, doing his best to try and smile for her. He could only hope at this point that they ran into his father soon.

"Touchy." Jess mumbled, though that didn't stop him from smiling. "Tell you what. I'll stay away from your mother when you stay away from my daughter." And since he didn't see that happening any time soon, he was pretty much in the clear.
Turning back to Claire, he made sure to pay attention to everything she said, nodding as he listened. "Did Rosco put all those pictures there or did you do them yourself?"
Sighing at her father's obvious lack of concern to Klyde's threats, Riyo took his hand and squeezed. "As ready as you are..." Which was probably not very.

Looking to Jess' retreating back, Klyde had to suppress a growl. If it wasn't for Claire being there he probably would have had at hitting the man again. What the idiot didn't seem to realize was he wasn't so worried about what kind of effect it would have for him. He could care less, what he was more worried about was Claire and if she found out. Hiding what horrible people their parents really were from the girl was a challenge in and of itself.
"I drew some of the pictures," Claire admitted with a bright smile.
The first room they stopped to see was the den that Claire had mentioned. It was a short visit since the girl really wasn't all that interested in books with no pictures and there really wasn't much else there. They stopped at the kitchen next which was the same as before. Mostly barren and looking very unused.
It was there that Claire stopped for a 'juice pack' which happened to be a IV bag of O negative, her favorite. Apparently there were perks to their mother working at the hospital which included blood, though their mother always brought home blood that was about to expire. It would look really fishy otherwise.
From there they went upstairs and Claire immediately rushed to her room and threw open then door. "And this is my room!" She chimed rather excited. She hadn't gotten a chance to show Riyo last time but her room was indeed a raccoon explosion. Her bed looked as though it was made of tree limbs, an almost tree house above it to store her toys. There were raccoon plush everywhere of all shapes and sizes. The walls were covered with decor art and the art Claire had obviously draw herself. Most of it was of Rosco but there were some pictures of Klyde and her others brothers and parents. The pictures of her other brothers were a little iffy....they looked a little violent.

Jess followed the girl through the house, mildly amused as she showed off all the rooms like a real estate agent trying to sell a house.
The fact that she called an IV bag a juice pack mildly disturbed both him and Riyo, but neither really let on to it. They had to do what they had to do to survive... But that really didn't make it any more easy to deal with.
When they finally reached Claire's room, Riyo's jaw dropped. "Woah." She would've killed for a set up like this as a kid, and her face said as much. "Your room is really cool, Claire." She admitted, glancing over all the pictures. The one's of Klyde made her smile... The one's of her other brothers made her worried. She probably had at least a faint idea that they weren't good people...
"Looks like you're quite an artist." Jess added with a big smile, the fact that her bedroom was so elaborate made him amused. Though, he did note the pictures of the two other boys... At least he assumed they were. "Who are these?"

"Thanks, momma helped. She painted the walls." Claire pointed to the walls underneath all the pictures and it was easy to see the forest scenery that had been painted there. It wasn't highly detailed but for a kids room it was pretty nice, and it kept with the simple theme of a woodsy area.
Turning to the picture Jess had pointed out Claire explained, "Those are my other big brothers Jacob and Blake," Claire pointed to each red head in the picture, though both stick figures looked very much alike. "They don't like to play with me, they only like to play with the friends they bring over." She pointed to another picture which looked like one of the boys biting into another random stick figure.
Klyde was less than pleased to see the new pictures on the wall. Seemed his attempts to hide stuff from Claire wasn't working out. Guess she was bound to find out sooner or later....he just hoped it would have been later.
"Claire...you know you shouldn't hang around them when they have other people over," Klyde tried to remind her.
"Yeah...I know," Her voice sounded a little guilty. Obviously she had disobeyed that order. "I just want them to play with me." It got lonely in the house since she wasn't really allowed to leave unless someone took her somewhere...which wasn't often.
"But Kitty and Papa Kitty are here now to play!" She seemed to light up all over again. "I need to go get Rosco so we can play Rescue Rangers!" Without another word Claire ran out the door and disappeared.

Jess couldn't help but cringe at the picture of one of her brothers biting into the stick figure... She'd seen something gruesome, hadn't she?
For good reason though, he supposed. She sounded very lonely.
"Yeah, we're here now." Riyo agreed, watching the girl run out of the room to grab her raccoon plush.
Turning back to Klyde, Riyo shoved her hands in her pockets. "Maybe we should leave without seeing your father... I don't really want to make things worse anymore..." Sure, revenge was great... But thinking of how sad Claire might be to never see either of them again made her want to call the whole thing off.
"Make things worse? What do you mean?" Jess asked as he turned his head around from looking at the pictures. "I'm sure we'd get along just fine."
"... No you wouldn't." Riyo wasn't even about to let that idea through. She hadn't exactly told him what Mr. McBane had done to her in fear that it would make the tension worse between him and Klyde. "We should just leave him be."

Klyde was able to hide it but he was relieved to hear that Riyo had given up on the idea of her father meeting his. It could only end in a disaster. "Maybe we can go out and celebrate you moving in instead and take Claire with us. I'm sure she'd be happy to get out of the house." Klyde offered.
"Leaving me be would have been a brilliant idea." That voice, it made the hair prickle and raise on the back of Klyde's neck. Slowly he turned to see his father standing in the doorway in his usual 'casual attire' of a button up dress shirt, slacks, and highly polished shoes. "Too bad someone already informed me you were here." Mr. McBane looked less than thrilled to see Riyo, his dark purple eyes narrowing on the girl.
"What is she doing here, Klyde?" His voice was almost demanding as he sharply turned to his son.
"Dad, I told you-" Klyde started, his own eyes narrowing back. This was a fight they had been having for a while. It was like beating a dead horse that was nothing more than bones.
"I told you I don't want my family to socialize with the likes of her. Who the hell is that?" He asked gesturing over at Jess.
"I'm so glad you take an interest in your family when its convenient for you." Klyde hissed. "You don't give a ******** about us otherwise." That earned Klyde a rather rough slap across the face sending the youth staggering back a few feet.

"Yeah, lets-" And then there was that voice... It made the fur on her tail stand straight out, as if she'd just been hit with a lightning bolt. Oh s**t, they were too late.
Nervously she stared at the older, obviously stronger vampire. Riyo could see the hate in his eyes. The hate for her...
But instead of slinking down like she did the last time she was there, her eyes locked onto his, doing her best to shove the fear back where it came. "This is my father." She said in a matter-of-fact tone, wishing with all her might he hadn't worn the goddamn pink hat in with him.
"Dad, this is the guy who defended mom in court." Instead of giving him a formal introduction, Riyo figured her father would get a kick out of that one. Though, when Klyde got a smack across the face, her eyes immediately softened. Taking a few small steps to his side, she frowned. "Are you okay?" she asked softly. Hadn't been expecting that one..
At first, Jess couldn't hide the disdain for the way this man was talking about his daughter. Where the hell did he get off? It was like he was saying she wasn't GOOD enough for his little leech or something..
And then Riyo told him who he was (sorta). At first, Jess appeared ready for a screaming match with the guy...
But instead, he bit his lips trying to hold back laughter. "Ehe... Ehehehe... HAHAHAHAH!" It looked like he was about to bust a gut. "Holy crap. You tried to defend her? I'd hate you if I didn't find that so funny!"

As Klyde looked up it was easy to see where Vince's hand had struck. There were distinctive finger marks across his face though they would fade within the hour. "Y..yeah, I'll be fine." It wasn't like he hadn't been struck before, Lou could deal out a beating worse than any his father had done, but he wouldn't put it passed the old man to step up his game if need be.
"Father?" Vince almost sneered as he said the word looking at Jess with a sense of disgust. The laughing grated on his nerves, it was a tender spot to poke bringing up the case that he had lost. He didn't take well to losing. "How delightful. More deplorable trash. I hope you won't take this the wrong way when I tell you to get the ******** out." Vince's voice never rose in tone but the threat was still there. He was seething on the inside.
Vince's eyes settled back on Riyo, a soft white glow coming to his eyes as the anger boiled up. "And you, I never want to see you in this house again! It's bad enough that you've seeped into the mind of my son but I will not have you corrupting the rest of my family like the disease you are."
"Don't talk to her that way," Klyde hissed, his own eyes starting to glow. What kind of delusion was his father under to think such utter bullshit? Riyo infect their family? Klyde was doing all he could to keep the s**t his family did from effecting Claire. The violence, the lying, the cheating, the list went on. If anything this family was a moral sect pool to society.

Jessee's laughing slowly stopped when he noticed the intense glare he was getting. "... Is there a right way to take that?" He asked sarcastically, doing his best to ignore the fact that this man just slapped his own child across the face for practically nothing.
Riyo's ears fell back against her head as she heard the word 'disease'. That was a new one.. What was worse is that Klyde was digging himself deeper in a hole every time he opened his mouth. "Klyde, it's okay." She tried to console him, now wanting the vampire to end up out on his a**.
"The hell it is!" Jess stepped in, obviously mad now. "What gives you a right to call my daughter a 'disease'?" He shouted, stepping closer to the man with a lack of fear in his eyes. "You're the one who fits the 'blood-sucking lawyer' stereotype to a T. If anything, YOU'RE the scum for defending the rich and tainted for a chance to feed off the fat that is their money!"
"... Um. Before you two start throwing fists at eachother..." Riyo interrupted meekly. "Now's a good time to tell you that we're your next door neighbors."

Vince was about to open his mouth, the venom ready to pour from his lips, but Riyo's words, though meek, caught his full and utter attention. "Neighbors?" There ...was a bit of a twitch to his eye. "Neighbors?" He repeated the anger all but boiling over.
"You mean to tell me you two low life, gutter dwelling ingrates moved into the house next door?" His composure was slipping away with every word. The yelling and screaming was about to begin. That was...until another meek voice spoke up.
"D...daddy?"
The glow started to fade from his eyes as Vince looked back to see his daughter standing behind him, those bright lavender eyes full of sadness as she clutched tightly to her raccoon plush for comfort. With a sigh Vince rubbed at the bridge of his nose shortly before looking back at Riyo and Jess. "You and you." He pointed at the two. "Out." It was nothing short of a growl.
"And you," He turned to Klyde. "We're going to have a talk."
"Like hell we are," Klyde wasn't sticking around for whatever backwards lecture his father decided to cook up.
