Alta had been walking for several days at this point to escape her mother. She lugged her small bag of things she'd taken from her house and walked towards a tree where she could see some other teens. With every fiber of her being she hoped one of them had a car and was going far away but she new better. At least when she finally got up there she would be able to under the tree in the shade. And so she walked on but when she got to the tree no one was there. She then declared it to be nap time and fell asleep under the tree.

Alta jolted awake. She looked up and saw some guy standing above her "You know it's incredibly rude to wake people and even more so to kick them." She sighed, "I'm sorry, your probably waking me up because I'm not suppose to be here. I'll be on my way if it's not too much trouble."

She took his hand and stood up. "I ran away from home. I'm not really here for this camp. I just followed my feet and this is where I ended up." She dusted herself off. "That's why I thought you might want me to leave."

"Is this like some camp for rich kids? Where they background check you as soon as you get there because it's full of powerful peoples kids?" She doubted the fact that it was ok she was there. For once in her life she was glad to look like a child and not have people being suspicious simply because of her age.

 He's kidding she thought, he had to be. Her mother slept with guys who owned wineries not gods. "So let me get this straight ever kid at this camp is a bi-product of a human and some mystic being? Including you and apparently including me."

"That is possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen. I've read books where this kinda thing happens but it was never real." She stared at the ring. Trying to see if she could figure out how it worked. Then she realized it was a magic ring... you can't logic out how a magic ring works.
