Marcella scanned her own plate, then Zia's, and, at her friend's urging, selected a piece of sushi to match one of the ones the purple-haired girl had taken. She dunked it into her dish of soy sauce and popped it into her mouth, and nodded as Zia explained her plans.

"Camp sounds like it could be interesting, but I don't know if I'd have enough patience to deal with a lot of kids," the younger girl conceded. "I already sort of have plans, though." The corner of her mouth twitched into a smile as Zia asked if she was going to relax, and explained, "I'm thinking about taking the course to get certified as a phlebotomist. Seems like a useful skill to have, and with how things have been going here lately, they probably can't have too many certified ones at the hospital."

She picked up another piece of sushi and gestured with it. "Sorry, lighter conversation is hard since I work at the hospital, but I promise it's not all bad, at least." Vinegared rice went into the soy sauce again, and Marcella left the piece of nigiri there for a moment while she picked up a piece of ginger to eat that first.

It really was impossible to divorce her life from waht was going on in town, and especially from the whole crazy superhero thing she was in on now. She had not been particularly close with Zia, having only really known her one year at Crystal, but part of Marcella wished she could tell her older friend. She felt like she could trust Zia to take it seriously. But, well ... it was not something she could tell just anyone for other reasons, too.

"I have been thinking about a camping trip maybe," she said at length, frowning as the piece of sushi she had left in her soy sauce started to fall apart when she retrieved it. "Not at camp like you're doing, though. Just like, an overnight hike thing, maybe." Marcella shrugged and ate the next piece of sushi before it disintegrated entirely, and added when she had finished chewing. "Not totally sure yet, though. But that would qualify as relaxing, I think."

"I don't know if I'm going to have enough patience to deal with my cabinmate," Zia said with a roll of the eyes. Zirconia had instantly taken a shine to Azzo because of his social connection with the parallels, but Zia honestly just thought he was kind of weird, stupid, and way too much of a tool. He also seemed to take Zia's attitude towards him as the cat personality's incessantly bitchy behavior. "But I think I'll mostly be separated from children unless one of them gets lost. Luckily. I have no idea how counselor's are going to last, though," She said with a laugh.

When Marcella talked about being certified as a phlebotomist and then apologized, Zia's brow knitted in thought, silenced by the fact her mouth was full. "No worries, I don't even know what that is," She admitted lightly after she swallowed, a hint of laughter still present in her voice.

"Mm... camping. I'm not really the 'roughin it' type but my brother's always pushing it on anyone he thinks he can pressure. I honestly don't get the appeal," She huffed.

Marcella raised a hand to her mouth as she had to laugh before she had finished chewing. "I don't envy the counselors," she added after swallowing. "And I don't know if I'd be able to handle living with that many kids around for a week with no peace and quiet." She offered a sympathetic smile. "But I hope you can have at least a little fun. Probably nice to get away from all this, if nothing else." Then, as an afterthought, "Away from just the city in general, I mean."

She set her chopsticks down for a moment and sat back in her chair, and took her feet off of the bar on the tall chair to let her legs dangle briely. Marcella's back cracked satisfyingly, though it was inaudible over the other patrons who had filled up the other tables. This was almost certainly one of those restaurants that made their seats uncomfortable on purpose, to move people along. Decent business idea, the girl supposed, but it did not make her any more fond of the hard wooden chair.

But for now, there was still more sushi. "Phlebotomist, like, someone who draws blood for tests and such," Marcella clarified, retrieving her utensils and grabbing another piece of pink pickled ginger. "I think the class is like, five weeks, but it'll make me extra useful around the hospital."

And as for the camping, the brown-haired girl shrugged. "I haven't really tried it before, but I thought maybe an overnight thing might be worth a shot. We'll see how it goes." The destination crossing her mind was a little further away than the mountains. Any mountains on Earth, really. But part of her was, mysteriously, itching to go back to her asteroid, perhaps for a longer stay than the previous visits if she could manage it.

"Yeeeeah..." Zia trailed off, thinking about escaping Destiny City's crap for a while and then snapped back to reality when Marcella added on that afterthought. "Yeah, yeah," she said in a more quick, deliberate tone, glad she didn't get too far into that fantasy of fleeing the supernatural. She had to wonder what they hell was wrong with her that she suddenly thought of everything in senshi vs _____ terms.

"Aaah, okay. Yeah, that might be a good move," Zia said with a nod, reaching for another roll. "I mean, if you can, go for it. I mean... I can't even look at blood without getting sick," She said with a laugh, but it was one that came out a little forced and awkward.

She had never had an issue looking at blood until Operation Rota. Now all it did was bring back images she just wished would go away.

She ended up getting quiet and listening to Marcella talk about her plans and prodding with questions when needed. When it was time to part ways, she found the night, on the whole, to be an uplifting experience of much needed normalcy.

Why didn't she talk to Marcella more often? This had to be amended.
