"Consider the scare a lesson. Your intention may not be to harm or scare people, but it worries me." Rui stood firm, so her pushing didn't do much but rock him. His tail flicked and he eyed the vixen. If this girl was going to give him so much trouble why did he bother being around her. Then again if it was stressful he should stop caring.

Psyche looked at Rui then away, her tail swishing angrily. "If it worries you maybe you shouldn't hang around me. I do things like that for fun. It's who I am. It's what I do." She stood up. "Just like you seem to be the grump, the party pooper, the old man." Psyche started walking away. Psyche enjoyed Rui's company, she really did. He was like the father she never had. But Psyche had her limit on how much of his sour attitude she could take. So why did it hurt talking like that to him and walking away?

Rui snorted and his tail flicked. "Go ahead. It would be better for both of us. Find another crazy fox." Maybe that was a little harsh. But he wasn't going to admit that. He shook off the little bit of water still left on his coat and went back to his sleeping spot. He could see little tufts of fur wall of as her walked.

With her tail high in the air, Psyche continued walking away from the lake...and Rui. She hung her head. What had just happened? Rui never complained about what she had done before. Yeah he showed displeasure and tried to get her to stop; but that was like trying to get Psyche to stop seeking out fun, thrills. Maybe it was for the best if they didn't hang out together, despite how much it hurt.
Psyche kept walking until she couldn't hear the water of the lake anymore. She lifted her head and looked around. She paused in step. What could she do for fun around here? Wherever...here was.

Rui's stubby tail twitched. He usually knew when something was going down. That girl was probably up to something dangerous. Again. He rolled his eyes and plopped into the ground. Peace at last. Maybe now he could just relax. If she was still a Kit maybe he'd be a little more protective, but now shes grown up. She doesn't need him anyway.

Psyche sighed for the upteenth time as she stopped yet again to get her bearings. She traveled a lot while looking for fun activities to do, but this was one area she didn't recognize. With a huff she sat down and put her head on her paws. She could always go back to the lake, dive off the cliff some more, relax in the water. But no doubt Rui was still there. And Psyche didn't want to be around his pessimistic attitude anymore. Nor did she want to be out here, alone. Psyche stood up and turned around to head back in the direction she came from. "Better just suck it up and face him," she muttered.
She hummed a meaningless song under her breath as she walked. So into what she was going to say to Rui if he tried speaking to her once she got to the lake that Psyche didn't see the tree root among some tall blades of grass. "ACK!" Psyche faceplanted into the ground.

Rui's ear twitched towards the woods. He heard a thud, he usually wasn't curious but he had a feeling to what made the noise. He let out a sigh and stood. He found the source of the thud with her face in the mud. He raised a brow and sighed again. "I didn't know you were into mud baths." He checked the ground before he sat, then sat, almost with a smug look on his face.

Psyche bit back a groan, for if she opened her mouth she'd eat some of what was covering her face. Instead she lifted herself off the ground and shook, flinging mud every which way. She looked over at Rui. "It's really relaxing when certain foxes annoy me to no end. Try it sometimes, since you obviously always have a stick up your arse." Psyche started walking towards the lake again, wanting to get cleaned off.

Rui nearly got hit by a wad of mud. He looked over Psyche and chuckled, "If you are wanting to go back to the lake you are heading the wrong way." He got up and headed in the right direction. He bit his lip, maybe he shouldn't comment on the situation... no matter how much he wanted to.

Psyche huffed. "Mr. Know-it-all," she muttered. She changed direction and started walking behind Rui. She frowned and picked up her pace, looking forward as she moved past Rui. No doubt there were some words he wanted to say to her; but she didn't want to here it. If only there was another lake around so she didn't have to be around him.

Rui raised a brow as Psych passed him. Well, atleast if she kept heading in that direction she was bound to hit the lake. He shrugged he didn't need him know so he found a shady spot and plopped down. He felt a slight pang in his head. He took a deep breath in and sighed. "Just keep walking and you'll get to where you want to go.''

Psyche sniffed. "Thank you very much." She kept walking, looking back once to see Rui sitting down. At least he wouldn't be at the lake with her. Her step picked up as she thought about the lake. She could jump off the cliff again. And in doing so she'd be cleaned off. Perfect.

"You're welcome." He glanced in the lakes direction. "DON'T GO JUMPING OFF THAT CLIFF AGAIN." Rui huffed, if he had to get up just to make sure that girl was safe... Oh well. She wasn't going to listen to him anyway, she never did. He had a gut feeling that one day he'll warn her about her crazy stunts, she won't listen and end up hurt. He shook the thought from his head, he didn't want to think about Psyche getting hurt.

Psyche crossed her eyes and stuck out her tongue as she continued on her way. Who was Rui to tell her what to do? Just because he was older than her by a couple months didn't give him the right to act like a father. She could do whatever she wanted to do, even jumping off that cliff again. Psyche reached the lakeside and made her way up the cliff. She stood for a moment at the edge of it, staring down into the water. With a sigh Psyche laid down at the edge.

Thats odd... Rui's ears twitched at the silence. Hmph. He got up and looked over the lake. Psyche wasn't splashing around, she was just lying there. at the edge. A slight breeze passed through and Rui picked up a scent. A bear. He snarled at Psyche's direction. Poised in a strike position. He couldn't tell where it was, but he wasn't gonna let it near Psyche. "Psyche! Get down here! And do not jump!" For once... listen...
