Aella tilted her head, she had of course never heard of that. "Really?" She looked at the fish that the kalona speared for a moment, "I've never had fish. I don't think I really want to either." She wrinkled her nose, "It smells disgusting."

The kalona shrugged, "It's an acquired taste, I suppose. I much prefer the act of catching to anything else. Well, that and feeling the small ones wriggle all the way down." She flashed her fang filled grin, "There is something exhilarating about consuming a living thing."

Aella wrinkled her nose as she listened to that. She was playing with fire, but she liked the heat of the flames. "Wouldn't it be better...if they were dead or cooked?"

The kalona's face fell to a look of mock horror, "Cooked? And lose all the delicious juices? The cool slime? What a travistity. Nope, I love them as I catch them, terrified and adrenaline filled - makes them nice and tender."

She wanted to call her sick. But she figured that might exasperate the kalona further, and she was already on very thin ground. "Each to her own, I guess.." she shifted gently. She wanted to ask why though.
