Enjoying the peace and quiet of the outdoors the hound was retying his boots, getting them snug for his workout in the forest. All he had to do was swing by fitness club and be on his way. He was about to take a step when he heard the cry of the white haired Taztel that make his hairs stand on end. Regretting the idea, he turned around to ask her what the Kerberos dung she wanted out of his life.
But she had a frying pan in her hand. The hound gulped audibly in shock and in some weird way, heard her say it more menacingly that she really did. Crap! he was right, she was after his delicious flesh.
He remember hearing that dog or canine meat was a delicacy for some creatures, he didn't expect to practically living near one! With unblinking eyes, he took one step back from her, and another, and a few more till he turned around and ran for the forest in a blind dash, not caring who got in his way. "No stay back, STAY BACK, I DON"T TASTE DELICIOUS!"

The boil wasn't getting far. Levi had made sure to push a few of the other cooking supplies that had fallen from her pack aside from the doorway. There was no time to put the frying pan down- he was running away!
Well now, he likely just hadn't heard her calling... somehow...
...
Taste? ...he was thinking... Levi laughed out loud. Shame it might have come out more menacing than intended, but Levi really did find it hilarious that Demi thought she'd eat him. She wouldn't try to eat another student!
Crouching down, Levi placed her palms (and frying pan) to the ground, fingers going white at the knuckles with tension and coiled her tail two feet behind her raised heels. With the pushoff of her toes and hands (and pan), the ghoul sprang into the air, disappearing from where she once was in quite a haste.

Damien hot dogs, Hellhound stew. No, he didn't like the idea of becoming dog food! All he had to do was run for his life yes. Keep on running, just keep running to D Gavenkrantz, 666 midnight road, Halloween. Demi really had no idea what she wanted to use that frying pan for, but he didn't want to find out, one grab from that tail and there would be Demi nuggets for everyone to chew on.
That was NOT good eats.
He did the only thing a sensible hound would do, dig a hole behind a tree and waited it out, hoping she would either run past and he could sneak back to his room and hide in there forever, or she would go back on her own and try to cook someone else. That frying pan looks like it would hurt.
But there was no sound, not a peep other than the local prey he loved to feast on out here. did she even follow him in here, or waiting by the dorm? He poked his head out of the hole under the tree, keeping his ears open and his mouth shut, there was always the case where she could be sneakier than himself, he had to be diligent in this stakeout.
Canine steaks...... mmmmm..... Wait, what? NO, NOT MMMM!!

If the boil had looked back while he ran, he might have noted a second spring into the sky. Now perched in a lone tree just ahead of the hound, Levi grinned wildly when Demi stopped just below her and dug a hole. Demi's a whole sac a' fun, ain't he? How tricky of the boil to go under ground level to escape her. Had she not bounced into the tree ahead of time, she indeed might have missed him with that idea.
Once the boil looked settled in, listening, Levi used her coiled tail to drop down possum-style and hang with crossed legs and arms (and pan). Looking deep into the hole, Levi's voice rang with delight:
Demi, boil, ya'ain't on tha menu!...
...but 'ya sure do dig a fine hole thar. You sure ain't no run-a-tha-mill hound, huh?

"That's a lie, your going to make Hellhound nuggets! Don't hit me with the frying pan!" He cried out from his hidey hole. Frying pans look like they would smart, and he wasn't keep about getting hit in the head by one. Looking up from the ground to see the face of culinary death looming over you was to say the least, completely jacking scary.
But he did poke his head out from there as a sign of goodwill toward the ghoul, maybe she was on the up and up, maybe. "No Demi meal, ya promise?"

On mah tatzel honor. She closed her eyes and unraveled her arms to cross the panned hand over her chest to swear she meant for no such meal. Opening them again, she swung side to side playfully by her tail.
Just been meanin' ta say... that whole info ya read was already written on tha paper, but ain't got no idear where this here room is

Damien could feel the tension in his shoulders melt away from the ghouls promise, happy to know that he wasn't going to be feasted upon, at least not yet as he playfully helped swinging the platinum haired Tatzel around like a tire swing.
He felt rather bad about just brushing her off earlier when she asked for help, his family taught him better than that. Demi gave Levi a frown and a pat on her upside down shoulder, which felt strangely like a cupping motion. "Oh? Then we should go back and go locate it then, eh?" he said before moving ahead a few paces before turning his head around after a pause. "Just, not with that frying pan, kay?"

Levi grinned as Demi's playfulness awakening again. From her upside-down position, the ghoul totally had fun with his pushing her like a swing. Wheeeee~!
After the hound cupped her shoulder, he seemed to move away far enough for her to dismount. Really? Ya'll willin' ta help a ghoul out? Mighty kind of ya, Demi. Mighty kind. Bringing her legs down in front of her and releasing the branch with her tail, the ghoul did a bit of flip, ending up with her back to Demi. Turning as he waited for her to catch up, Levi bounded with a light tailbounce right behind the hound and curled her tail up onto his shoulder in return. Tha fryin' pan, yea. Heeeh~ just frum ma pack unwindin' a bit unexpectedly. Was tryin' ta collect everythin' up so folks wouldn't be trippin' none in the door. Just caught'cha at a good timin' I guess! She chuckled still at the thought of a Demi stew. Folks usually tryin' ta eat'cha? It was an honest question given he'd been so worried about being turned into so many variations of food just moments ago. Nothin' ever gonna eat'cha. Not while I'm around. Levi looked straight forward as she said this while they walked back towards the dorm. Ain't no one claimin' ma friends fer food'a any sort! She shooked her panned hand with a slightly furrowed brow to show that perhaps a pan could be used maliciously given the right circumstance.
Er... not like ya'ain't able ta fight'em off fer yer own, m'sure. Hey- any time ya'll wanna wrestle up some with me, I'll be there with bats on. Nothin' like a good headlockin', amirite?

"Trying to make a meal out of me? Not yet but, there's always a first time for everything." Demi said with a glum face, not wanting to remind himself of the horrid images that went along with the meals. He walked in pace with Levi, sadly a bit slower than he was used to outside. He gave a light grin as he heard the Tatzels proclamation of "friends not food" idea.
And maybe ducked under the fake strike of the frying pan in the air. He was caught off guard from her suggestion of wrestling, as he twitched his ear from the thought of it. "Your a bit of a scrapper are you not?" He said with a hearty chuckle and sigh. "Sorry Levi, but I was raised never to fight against ghouls." he said simply, The hound didn't have the heart to strike a ghoul, only if it was in a dire situation. He had to uphold his clan's honor even here after all.

Her eyes narrowed at the notion of not fighting ghouls, but she shook her head. Something in the hound rang true of a fighter If ya say so... yer some sorta gentlefolk, eh? Ya royalty too maybe?
They were basically back at the foot of the entrance when Levi turned to face Demi with hands (and pan) held behind her. Well, offers always on tha table, hmm? Scrapin's a good time fer a ghoul like me She chuckled lightly back at him.

Damien practically stumbled at Levi's statement of royalty. Did such things even exist in his clan. "Pfft, Royalty? no way!" He barked out, with his hand batting away the idea like a kind of foul odor in the air. "More like a gentleboil, yeah." he said with a puff of his chest, feeling the pride of his upbringing and manners that were beaten into his head on a daily basis.
he didn't even notice that they made it back to the dorms so soon, as he gave her a lopsided grin, hearing the gentle push of desire for a fight in her words. "This, coming from the ghoul who can't find her room yet eh?" he said in a teasing tone as he plucked the bit of paper from her pocket.

Ya know, Gran once told me 'a story 'bout a pup becoming a king 'er somethin' like that. Critter was roamin' the wood alone one night n' ...short n' sweet, became King of Pups, Rex, through firey battlin' a dragons n bein' nice ta his Ma. Likely one of her Gran's stories attempting to teach her about treating your elders with respect. She'd always listened to her Gran and parents; they didn't mind her derailing from the typical tatzel ghoul teachings and that was dandy to her. Ya'll remind me 'a Rex.
Levi shifted her hips to allow Demi to retrieve the paper indicating her room and made her way up the steps. Entering just within, she scrambled to get the other loose pots back into the roping of her pack and took it up again, rustling her thumbs between the roping and her shoulders.
She then answered the boil's inquiry of her navigational skills. Never seen a ...dorm like this. Never beyond two levels n' only thing always with 'a second is'a barn. Feedin' loft. She nodded matter-of-factly and smiled, waving a hand over and gesturing with a tilt of her head. Well c'mon then, Rex. Lead tha' way ta victory! She was pleased as a punch at this connection between her fictional character and her new comrade.

Damien wouldn't have minded hearing Levi talking more about the story from her younger days, seeing as how his parent's never had the time to tell him stories, only his grandfather had time to rant about family history and what was to be expected of him and blah blah blah. "Rex huh?" he replied back while scratching his chin in thought, he'd have to say, it sounded like a nice name to go by, Rex. "You need to tell me more about this story of your one day Levi."
However it would have to wait as he watched the tatzel gather her stuff back and waving him to join her. "Right!" he said back with the conviction of not only his own life, but the pride of a fictional character on his shoulders. "Lets go find you a room!" he said before leading her into her new home, and the surrogate family they all shared, and at times argued with.

Ya got it, Rex! They were off to an adventure. Their first of what may be many adventures to come. The hell hound navigator who apparently really liked to dig and Levi who had chased him with pots and pans strapped to her back. One day she'd return to her tatzel town and be able to say I met this one critter- he was not a tatzel...but sure as hell coulda been one! Demi was the first student she'd met (and mistakenly took for one of her kin), so she was sure to keep an eye on him from here on in.
As the students disappeared into the monster dorms, Levi concluded that she'd get right to fixing her fines and things. The sooner she set up, the quicker this would become home. Once she could establish her new home...well... then it was time to go exploring the other areas of the school. Thoughts of challenges and arm wrestling her peers were already wheeling around in her mind. The more the merrier, right?
Welcome home, Levi - she both welcomed and accepted herself into this place.
