Theodore Foxfire nomel_lemon urg, marc hoppus sucks so much! i mean, all he ever does is something like GGGGGGGGGGG-BBBBBBBBBBB-GGGGGGGGGGGG bah! i disagree on the sid vicious though, he was good. But he uh Didn't know how to play. Literally. that was the idea of punk, they werent there to play music, they were there to rebel, in pretty much the only way that was allowed during the repression.

You can't play music if you can't play the freaking instrument. he could play it, just not well. theres a difference. i think what happened was: he got given a bass and was taught three notes, then was in the band. same goes with drawing, cant draw? you can draw if you stick a pencil up your a** and start runbbing it on paper, you just cant draw well. see where i'm coming from?

You can't play music if you can't play the freaking instrument. i totally agree. being punk and the genre of music are different. also you don't have to be punk to play punk. and you definitely can't play music if you can't play the instrument. you can pick up a bass and pick to your hearts content, but that doesn't make it music, just noise. same about drawing, if you stick a pencil up your butt and sit on a peice of paper, the result is not art, its scribbles

Yeah, I like SOAD too. I have live footage of SOAD playing in Sydney, Australia, and Shavo definitely sounds weird with a pick. Maybe he only uses one to play fast, but I can slap just as fast as he plays using a pick <.<
