Kennedy watched her rant for a while and then set marc's stuff at his feet. He pulled her into a hug. He knew from his experiences with other girls that sometimes... they needed the touch of another person to reassure them. "He was happy... because everyday you would look at him with those big beautiful eyes of yours. Because he would take your affection any way he could get it... even as being...just a friend...As for his engagement... thats what... 8 years away?... His father wont be able to stop him if marc sets his mind to something... " Kenny didn't know if that was true or not... but... its what she needed to hear. "Von...It will be ok... Hejust needs time to collect himself... and you two can still be friends... Just don't treat him different for liking you..." He released her from his bear hug and held his hands on her shoulders. "Just know im here for you."

Von went limp as he hugged her but by the time he pulled away she'd been clinging to him. She nodded once and cleared the unfallen tears from her eyes." How am I to go back to the way things were when I'm terrified of leading him on. I mean it seems I've managed to hurt him enough. And judging form that picture it didn't stop his feelings." Gerfit she was sorely tempted to go back to her anti social ways and just forget all the drama. That's what she'd do, she'd return his art stuff and go back to her music. It didn't expect anything of her. She walked to the lake's edge and splashed a bit of water on her face before heading over to pick up Marc's stuff. " I better get this back to him before he realizes it's missing. And then maybe go work on some music. I'm ok now, so why don't ya go entertain your friend you left behind. Sorry for umm, embarrassing myself this way."

"Vonali!" He sighed and his face softened. "As long... as you do not say to him... its possible i like you that way... then... you aren't leading him on..." HE sighed and watched her go to the lake edge. However when she came back she had put up a wall,a wall he was determined to crack down again. "Nah... its too late for that... he knew he had left it three steps from when he headed back... but his pride wouldn't let him come back..." He knelt down next to her and took marc's bag. "You can take it to him in class on monday." He smiled. "She doesn't need me right now... you do... So lets go back... we can work on a new song... All this emotion can be put to good use..."

Gerf him. She sighed at his logic and didn't make a grab for the bag or argue with him when he insisted on going with her. " Alright. Monday it is. What kind of song should we work on?" She was determined to get back to normal and forget this odd situation. Though now that she was ignoring the Marc factor she remembered him calling her his girlfriend in public not to mention the weird butterfly feelings in her stomach when he was around. " How will you handle the rumors you started today by your statement?" Focusing on someone else helped the shock, just a little.

Kennedy shrugged. He really didn't care about working on a song... he just knew that it would calm her down. At her next question he turned and looked at her. A smile lit his face. One of his smoldering, seductive smiles. "How do you want me to handle the rumors... I think just accepting that they are rumors is the best way... however... if you don't want me to deny them... I guess i could hold your hand and kiss your cheek in public... at least until you are madly in love with me... then i will make my move." His brown eyes sparkled. He was joking. Although, some would have taken him as serious.

Outwardly Von only raised her eyebrow and snickered but on the inside her stomach flipped. She knew he had to be joking but the idea didn't repulse her. Seemed she still had alot to think about. " Romeo, you do whatever you wanna do. It's your social life not mine." She'd already made up her mind about her own social life. Maybe she's write a nice soft and relaxing song one that doesn't have any drama in it at all. As they approached the common room she paused for a moment before giving the passcode. She had the rest of the day and tomorrow to deal with how to handle Marc Monday.

Romeo? He grinned. "Actually... its yours too." He Smiled and shook his head. "On monday you can tell him it was a lie..." He followed her into the common room. "That is if you want to... " Kennedy smiled and headed up toward his room. "I will go grab my keyboard."

Von snickered again. "I don't have a social life. Well I didn't before Marc." She flopped herself on the couch as he headed upstairs then remembered she didn't have her guitar either. So she tromped into her room where she paused. Was she to use the guitar he gave her or use her old one? After a brief discussion with herself she grabbed the new one. If she was to keep things as they were before she knew she might as well start with the guitar. She entered the common room with the shiny red and black guitar on her back. Now was the time to get into her zone and concentrate on what exactly she wanted to play.

Kennedy had beaten her back to the common room. Thus he took the most comfortable chair."Alright... I was thinking you would write Lyrics today..." He smirked. "But i guess i can do that while you play." He picked up his pen and leaned back to listen to her play. The fact she was using her new guitar didn't escape his notice. He only hoped marc would be able to roll with the punches.

Von nodded in agreement. " Yea I don't think today would be the great day for lyrics. I was thinking maybe we could work some more on that traditional song we'd started on the other day." She pulled the guitar around and seated herself on the floor next to him.

"Ok... What do you have for an idea in the aspect of the guitar... " He grew his organ and placed his fingers on the key's. "Lets see. How about some simple chords for underneath on the piano. And something slow... but... not dreary on the guitar..."

Von nodded agreeing with the chords and closed her eyes before slowly adding in her guitar. The music flow smooth and slow similar to molasses. She smiled when they ended. "That was good. Can I have a copy of those lyrics? I'll try and see if I can't come up with something." The day had worn on her and she was ready to just skip dinner and head to bed to crash. " Thank you for your help today but I really just wanna crash." She waited for her copy of the lyrics and then slowly headed to bed.
She slept for the rest of the day Saturday and all that night. Sunday she managed to get enter the dining hall late enough that she snagged the seat closest to the doors and was the first one to leave. That whole day she absorbed herself into her music hidden away in a known locked room where no one would see or hear her. She was so wrapped up in her thoughts and in her music she'd managed to miss lunch and barely made it to dinner. She sat quietly ate her food and made pleasant conversation with her housemates. Only one studying her would notice that she avoided looking at the Hufflepuff table or searching Kenny out. That evening she went to bed early and readied herself for Monday.
Monday morning she threw on her clean uniform grabbed her bag and Marc's. She managed to get to class early enough to wait for the door to open and wait for Marc to show.

Kenny nodded and handed over the lyrics he had. "I trust you with my notebook." He smiled and nodded. "Alright...see yah tomorrow." He played another song from memory. Not a custom made one but one that many people could recognize. Then he disappeared to bed.
He didn't see Vonali at all on Sunday. Instead he hung out with summer. One thing he could say for her is that she kept his blood boiling. For a twelve year old, she knew some... interesting things. However he caught a glimpse of her at dinner but didn't get a chance to talk to her. Summer was vying for his attention and being the big pushover he seemed to be... he letter absorb his attention completely.
Summer was all he could think about. Her lips kissed him outside the common room. She really was something nice. Well developed for a twelve year old girl. He kissed her back and pinched her butt before leaving her to enter the common room. She most likely ran back to ravenclaw common rooms. He stretched as he walked in and frowned noticing von wasn't in there. He was kinda upset. He was enjoying his time with Von. ANd now she seemed to be a recluse.
Sighing he grabbed another Slytherin to play a game of wizards chess and then he disappeared into the boy's dorm. He slept well. However he woke up late. Glancing at his clock he rolled back over and went back to sleep. Who cares about history of magic.

Marc didn't show. At least not until about half way through the class. He showed up with a nurses note in his hand. However, instead of sitting next to von he sat down at a completely hufflepuff table where a few of his puff friends smiled and then turned back to the board. He decided to take notes... for the first time ever in that class. He kept glancing at von but was trying to force himself to ignore her. Obviously... she didn't have feelings for him... and he didn't need to hurt her more by being there constantly. As the teacher wrapped up he started packing his stuff in his old bag. His new one he had left by the lake... however when he had gone back for it it was gone... He knew she had it... but he didn't know if he would get it back. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable. He sighed and lifted his bag onto his shoulder and started for the door. He offered a smile to von as he walked toward the door.

Von was upset when Marc didn't get to class and she'd worried about him til he came in halfway through class. She tried several times to get his attention but end then end she just humphed and waited impatiently. When class was ending she made sure she was one of the first up and when Marc smiled at her she smiled back. " Hey! Wait up!" She waited for the few students between them and then stood next to him. " Hey I found this Saturday." She handed him his bag then fell into step with him. " So what did you do all weekend?" She didn't dare tell him that his art stuff had spilled out and she'd seen some of it nor did she think bringing up what had happened would help at all. Back to normal is what she wanted and so help her she was going to make that happen.

Marc had slowed his pace down and waited for her. Glancing over at her he took his bag. "Thanks i appreciate you taking it for me." He shifted it on to his shoulder. "Um... not much... I hung out with a few different girls... Moa and Clover... Pretty much just stayed up in the common room." He glanced over at her. "So what about you... I noticed Kennedy wasn't with you today... guess he just didn't want to come to class. "
He offered half a smile and stopped by his turn to head to the hufflepuff basement. "Thanks for keeping my stuff... i was just going to hang out in the common room today."
