Wow. The classroom was a mess. Siddie hesitated in the doorway. Was it normally this messy? Surely she'd have heard? Then again, perhaps it was all part of the lesson. She'd missed the first class, and what little she knew of humans she'd heard from Umbra, which meant that it probably wasn't very accurate.

Mind made up, she picked her way delicately through the broken glass to write her name up on the board, then found a desk, brushing a few splinters from the seat before she sat. Ugh.

A few students had odd things in jars with them. One of them, a ghoul with a fluffy, striped tail, was sitting nearby. Curiosity got the better of shyness, and Siddie leaned over to see a little better. "What is that?" she asked Whisper.

Mot meandered down the hallway, his thumbs in his pockets and his trenchcoat billowing behind him as he kept a quick pace. He was not going to be late for his first class, after all. Not only that, a class he was sure he would love. Human studies? Score for the reaper, amirite? He turned on his heel to enter the room, only to stop short of a step and regard the floor. Huh. This was.... What blew through here? He cocked an eyebrow and slowly made his way to the front to put down his name on the board.
Oh, Mac was here? Excellent!

Mot

Once his name was down, he turned and found where Mac was sitting, giving a wave and sitting nearby. "Howdy, and what not." He greeted the other Reaper, taking his seat gingerly, making sure he would not being sitting on any shards of glass.

Johan stared at the mess this teacher had the nerve to call a classroom, and almost left. Almost. Unfortunately for the reaper boil, knowledge was just too strong a lure to allow even the threat of broken glass to deter him. Human Studies, after all, would be crucial for that time he would leave Halloween to enter the Human World. He did take time to trace a rune on the sole of his feet first, to ward against injury, however.

Thus protected, he picked his way toward the board at the front of the room, disgust apparent on his face. He scrawled his name quickly on the board, and retreated to a seat as close to the door as he could possibly get. He gave the little model kit a curious look, wondering what in Jack's name they were to do with it.

Arachne flicked her hair behind her ear, looking around the - well for want of a better word - classroom and frowned. She spied Lizzy as she weaved her way to the front of the class and signed her name on the board before managing to find a seat relatively near to her friend.

She leaned over the desk and smiled at the ghoul;

'Did you take this class before?' she asked, looking around at the other students to see who else she knew.

The marid had gotten as far as the doorway to the classroom before coming to a complete stop. Blue eyes directed down at the utter chaos that was the floor. She was, as always, bare foot, and the broken glass glittering all over the place looked menacing. "You've got to be kidding me.." She sighed to herself, scrubbing at the curve of one cheek with the heel of her hand before resting it softly at the crook of her neck, head tilting.

There was just no way. She was already injured, her left ankle and foot wrapped thickly in bandages to keep her broken ankle stable, she didn't need to render herself completely immobile by slicing her other foot open. She had crutches, they were a bother, but certainly beat limping about. Of course, if the end of one landed on something and slipped out from under her, that could be really bad.

She couldn't just linger in the door way though, so very carefully she moved forward, gingerly picking her way towards the board so she could write her name.

It took West a couple of steps into the Human Studies classroom before he realized he was traipsing across a field of glass. "Whatthe..." he muttered, lifting a foot to peer at the side of his boot. Okay then. He glared around the room, taking in Professor Savage, the... model kits (?), and a couple of the seated students who had arrived before him. Weird.

He knew this class was important, especially after their surprise trip to the human world where all they managed to do was scream ineffectually at some stupid-looking cemetery gawkers and dodge metal boxes, but that didn't mean he had to enjoy himself. West continued forward, metal box memories distracting him to the point where he didn't realize Yaya was standing in front of him until he almost tripped over her. "Y'need help?" he asked, printing his name on the sign in sheet.

Needless to say, Human Studies had been one of the few classes Lilith was interested in. It certainly helped that when she walked into the classroom she immediately spotted a certain demon she was familiar with, but she would have been satisfied with just studying humans for the moment. Although she could certainly go for some demon studying as well.

Crack. What? She looked down below her foot to find glass and other foreign objects and after that it didn't take very long for her eyes to scan the room. It was a mess. What kind of teacher did they have? She was already imagining her distaste for the teacher already. She tried to ignore it as she made her way over to the signing up sheet, gave her greetings to West and signed her name under his.

West might not have noticed her until he had almost trod upon her, but she had noticed him. His trade mark slur had made her turn, and she watched him approach feeling the slightest bit of apprehension. She hadn't seen him since their contract had been complete, and she honestly didn't know what to expect. Indifference, maybe? Or perhaps even dislike. She'd kept him trapped for so long, she couldn't blame him..

Asking if she needed help was not within the realm of possibilities she'd foreseen, and she blinked at him, a little shocked, for a moment as he wrote his name. Then she smiled, actually going a little misty eyed before brushing a finger along her brow to sweep long bangs behind one ear. "Yeah, I could use a hand." She glanced down down at her foot, then chuckled. "Or a foot, if you have one lying around."

She poked a finger over in the direction of a certain white haired reaper. "Let's go sit over there?"

West grinned at Lilith, waving slightly as he surveyed the scene in front of him. He could just brush a path through the glass with his shoe, but there would still be tiny shards he couldn't see in her way and Yaya would likely give him one of her looks. Well, that only left... carrying her, but he really didn't want to do that. His grin withered away into a resigned grimace and he said, "I'munna havta pick ya up aren't I." Nope, it wasn't a question.

"Dun go n'cry'bout it," he added, wrapping an arm gently around her back, then hooking the other under her legs. Once he was fairly sure she was secure, he crunched off in the direction Yaya had indicated, placing her back down in the vicinity of some white-haired boil he had never met. She was certainly welcome to sit next to him if she liked, but West was decidedly more comfortable a couple of seats down.

Damien was watching the scene from his desk with the barest of grins. The ghoul yaya, he hasn't seen her in awhile too. It was nice to see her up and about and in better shape. The hound braced his cheek in the palm of his hand as the duo passed by, his eyes crinkled in silent humor . What a cute sight.

The boil looked like he had it under control so there was no need for the dog eared boil to worry over her yet. So he went back to what he normally did to West, playful taunting. "Grumpy and Yaya, sittin' in a tree~" The smirk got even larger after muttering that line before focusing on the other faces that walked in.

He honestly hoped human could be just as interesting as fun as his fellow students.

Lizzy, Mac AND Jericho were in this class too? The pink haired demon couldn't grin wider if he tried. The only thing that could make this class better was of Amrita also was attending. So far though there was no sign of his hard headed crush. But that didn't keep the grin off his face.

"What are you two doing here?" Again, Charlie was not completely sure what class he'd just walked in to. He had no idea that they were in fact in a human studies class. For some reason or other he thought this might be the baking class or something to do with sewing. Being illiterate really was going to make things over all difficult.

Johan was trying very hard to keep his hands on the desk and not bury his face into one of his palms. This was the class Haddiya had been going to? Why couldn't she have just turned around when she'd seen the glass on the floor? Instead, Johan had to cringe at every halting footstep as she limped toward the board. Fortunately for her, a demon boil came up behind her, and proceeded to carry her to a seat. Unfortunately for Johan, that seat was right beside his. Facepalm could no longer be avoided.

However, Johan was interested to hear another boil chant about the two in sing song, and he turned to get a better look at the demon boil. Blood red hair, black horns, bloody fists. He looked... intimidating. So this was her boilfriend? Johan returned to staring at the model on his desk, hoping 'grumpy' wasn't the jealous type.

"Haddiya." he acknowledged, courteously. Jack knows, if he didn't say something to her, she'd probably start poking him.

Calder liked a wet class, and was happy to get into Human Studies this time around. This was improved when he noticed how damp it all was, and he stepped in, breathing in the smell of damp wood and moist air. Feeling very comfortable, he moved into the class and then heard a crunch on the ground. Frowning, he lifted a hoof and noticed the glass just visible in the puddles of water. "Owww. That's not good." Wearing shoes migth have helped, but like Jack he was going to wear horse shoes! There were some very crude forms of horse booties, but those were just outright dorky. The thick glasses of the equine creature world. Nope. He was going natural, but only because he didn't think any class would just let pieces of broken bottles lay all over the floor. Where were the janitorial gnomes?

Being mindful where he stepped, he watched as students filed in and started to sign their names. Following behind, Calder went and signed his name at the front of the board. With that done, he looked to see what seats were open and who would be willing to sit with him. The class was filling up fast!

The djinn hastily pressed the heel of one hand against one eye, laughing as the boil rather gently hoisted her up to carry her across the rubble. Relief causing her voice to shake, just a bit, when he set her done beside the pale reaper. "I'm not crying," she assured him, smiling up at him as she gave his arm a squeeze. "Thank you, West." There was something in her tone that alluded she was grateful to him for more then just carrying her across the room. She did her best to hide it all though, knowing he wouldn't appreciate all that emotion leaking out all over the place. He wasn't mad at her, he wasn't abandoning her, everything seemed to be pretty much the same. She was relieved.

Damien, for his teasing, was given a look somewhere between cross and terribly amused. She wisely held her tongue.

Once situated, she pulled her legs up to keep her feet free from the dangers on the floor. One leg drawing up to her chest, the other laying with her foot tucked close. Her crutches she propped against the edge of her desk.

She then turned to the boil beside her, smiling benignly. "So this is the class you were hurrying to get to?" She gave an amused little sound, almost a laugh, then propped her elbow on the desk before her, lowering her chin to rest in her up-turned palm.

Calder was waved to as he turned from the board.

"Ja." Johan replied, removing some writing utensils and a small leather-bound work journal from his robes. He set about finding the arrangement that would provide maximum efficiency in studying as an excuse to avoid further eye-contact, and conversation with the demoness. One conversation a week was probably all he could handle with this one, and here it was, they were on the verge of two in a day. Clearly, the only thing that could prevent the imminent collapse of reality was making sure his journal was precisely lined up along the x and y vertices with the model, and his pencils.

Reality in peril or not, he found that he was continually glancing at the glass on the ground, and her bare feet.

"Perhaps you should look into getting a pair of shoes." he remarked, and nearly smacked himself for doing so.
