She had recovered from the birthing well and was happy with her new family. She had been so proud of Mahiri, her wonderful mate he had looked after the youngest daughter so well and to her that meant everything. Right now she watched the four cubs rolling adn playing, apart from the odd one he never seemed to join in much, strange boy.

The white male was licking at his paw though some could say he was trying to eat it. He was happy on his own though by the rocks and his mother where his blue eyes could glance over his siblings. Blah, they were stupid!

Padding softly towards the den Bakhti and her new litter resided within, Danzi couldn't help but smile a bit. He was a brother again... He had more little sibblings! Edging towards the entrance, green eyes peeked in, attempting to spy the honey lioness and any of the cubs. "Mom...?" Still he called her his mother, even if they had no blood relations to each other. After all, she'd taken him in as her own, thus he thought of her as his mother and any cubs she had as his sibblings. To the lion, it was his family.

Mahiri was smiling, watching two of the four cubs playing happily. Walking over to his mate, he nuzzled her happily, before turning his head towards Danzi and greeting him with a grin. "Hey Danzi"

He was so so happy to be a father again and was now beginning to look at the cubs in more detail. One was rather odd, and splattered with various colours, as one looked like Bakhti with white markings. One was chocolate brown with honey coloured patches and white ears. Lastly there was the eldest femme, who was a light honey colour, but had white paws, ears and lower muzzle.

Mbaya sat alone, her hazel eyes looking to her siblings without the slightest bit of interest. She hadn't attempted to socialize with either of her parents, nor would she try to in future. Her personality was devolping rather rapidly, and widly at that. She hadn't been influence by either parent, but had chosen to have a nasty and cruel attitude.

She saw a large orange male enter the cave and sneered. Who the hell is that?! She thought to herself, eyes narrowing.

Bakhti's birthing hadn't gone unnoticed by her first blood-son. Indeed the roars of her pain had drawn him quickly, terrified at their cause and what they could mean. His poor mother suffering! Surely she had not done so when he'd been born? He didn't know too much about cubs obviously. But he didn't come close enough to find out. Instead he kept his distance and remained silent, too frightened and worried to come near. And so he simply spent that miraculous moment out of sight but listening to his parent's words and the strange squeaks of his new siblings.

--------------------------------------------------------

They were a little older now, the tiny balls of squeaking fur, but they were still a great mystery to Mchele. The other older brother had watched them a bit, but never spoken to them before now. How was he supposed to? They were his brothers and sisters but they weren't Kib or even like Danzi. They were still alien to the adolescent.

However that couldn't remain so. They were family and he was their brother. He should know them and start helping too, just like he helped with hunting for the pride. Slowly, almost cautiously, he approached the den's entrance too. Danzi was already there and that was a confidence boost.

"Hi Danzi." He spoke to him first, before looking beyond at his parents and their affectionate actions. Not to mention the little ones.

The orange male nodded at Mahiri, then smiled at the cubs. All so cute! A white-filled ear flicked back before he turned and smiled at his first adopted brother. "Hey, Mchele."

Bakhti smiled at her family, the cubs were adorable, there was no doubt about it but she stood up and left them when Mchele and Danzi appeared. Danzi arrived first so he got nuzzled and licked first and then Mchele arrived. Bahkti sat infront of her son and using her paw started washing him like she had done when he was as small as the four she had just had birth to.

"It lovely to see you both!" She nuzzled Mchele again here she wanted to make sure that he knew he wouldn't be forgotten and then she half pounced Danzi playfully. "How are you Danzi? Any girls on the scene yet?" She chuckled and turned to Mchele, she loved her edest so much.

She turned back to the cubs, "Come here now all four of you!" She then turned back to her older sons and smiled. "Little ones, this is Mchele, he is your older brother and this is Danzi who is even older then Mchele but it still your brother, just not by blood. If you don't understand any of that, ask your father!" She chuckled and picked up one of the cubs, this one being the lightly coloured female who she moved right in front of Danzi and Mchele, "Mbaya say hello, nicely" She then rested, laying down to let the children, for both Danzi and Mchele no matter how old they were would always be her children.

The little white cub had scrambled forward to look at his brothers, he could understand Mchele being his brother he looked like mother but, the big orange thing didn't and what did bllod related mean and why wasn't Danzi his brother from blood? The little confused cub turned to his father and then his brothers, nah fun first, confusing questions later.

He ran up to Mchele and pounced at his leg, his very small claws trying to cling on to his older brothers leg as if he was hoping to climb up him or something. H didn't stay there too long for both the males had very appealing tails to play with.

Mahiri was sitting next to Bakhti with a smile, watching as she rounded up all the cubs, including the oddball that was attacking Mcheles foreleg. "Hey, Mbari, not at the moment, son." He chuckled. Had he been that playful as a cub? He doubted that. He wasn't the most social creature in his youth, as he lived with his mother. He shuddered violently at the thought of her bloody body, but his mind swiftly returned to the cubs.

Mbaya felt her mother pick her up and squirmed. "Leave me alone!" She yelled. She hated being told to interact with anyone and gave a dirty look to Danzi. "What is he doing in our family then!?" She sneered. "If he's not blood related." She looked to Mchele and said nothing. Then to her brother. "Mbari, do you have to be so stupid?!"

His greeting returned by his adopted older brother, Mchele noted his smile and turned his own gaze to the new family members within, along with his parents.

Relief washed over him as his mother came up and began to clean off his face and bath him like she used to do. Her love and affection of him hadn't changed, and it wouldn't change, even with the arrival of these new demanding cubs. He didn't know what he would do if he was suddenly left out now because he was 'old enough'.

"Always good to see you Mother." He murmered when she was close to him. Then with a look over to his dad close by he smiled as well. "And Father too of course. But what? There's more girls coming? Haven't you had two already in the litter?"

Speaking of the litter, Bakhti was rounding them up and even depositing one at his feet. Little thing, so small and soft. He'd been like that too, but it was hard to imagine it now. And he didn't remember trying to climb up other lion's legs like the little white-ish one was doing to him. Well, except to get his parent's attention, maybe that's what this one wanted? Seeing as he had turned his attention to their tail now, Mchele gave his a swish along the floor.

The female that mother had picked up in her jaws surprised Mchele with her loud protest and made the adolescent frown slightly with her mean words to her two brothers, both Danzi and Mbari.

"What are all their names?" He asked his parents, hoping to break the uncomfortable feeling toward the masked female. Masked like Kib... but not the same attitude. He didn't think to speak directly to the cubs at first, being unaccustomed to them.

Nitesh stares openly at his "Brother but not by Blood", and his brother, padding forward on his small feet. "I'm -Nitesh-" He says proudly, pale blue eyes sparkling. "You're big! You must have seen a lot!" He says, eyes widening as he pictures the sort of things his older brother might have seen. "You're both big! Will you tell us stories? Please?"

Bakhti smiled and licked at Nitesh and then hit her daughter lightly pushing her back. "Don't be so rude or no supper." She let a small snarl rise in her throat. "That little girl is called Mbaya but I think nuisance is a better name for her. That is Mbali." She nodded her head towards the white cub playing with Mchele's tail, and then she picked up the other female and moved her so she was able to see her brothers, "This is the sweetest one." She was giong to say somewhat like Kib but the youngsters knew nothing of their older sister yet. "Her name is Malaika. A sweetie she is!"

Bakhti moved back, one ear on her daughter who she had threatened. She was getting annoye about that girls behaviour and something would have to be done about it, treating her differently wasn't working at the moment.

Mbali licked the tail moving and attempted to pounce on it till he saw his brother mention stories, "Niiiiiiiiiiitesh!!" He mumbled and started to stalk his brother, he would pounce him and knock him down and claim him as his own prey, then Mbali would be king of all hunting!

Nitesh fluffs out comicly at the quiet growl of his name and squeaks, leaping forward to go hide as close to his mother as possible. "I'm not dinner! Leave me alone!" He protests, laying his ears flat against his head. "You're as bad as Mbaya!"

Malaika tried to stay hidden behind one of her mother's front legs, but found it hard to do so when she was introduced. Smiling, a little sheepishly, she stepped out from under Bakhti and tentatively walked forward, glancing breifly towards Mahiri, which is who she would run to if she got too shy. "Hi! Mic...Miche...Mikale?" Her small nose wrinkled up a bit as she tried to pronounce her brother's name. It certainly was a funny name. "And...Danzi!" She got that name right on her first time, which caused her to bounce happily on the spot. "Pleased to meet you both!" She totally ignored the behavior of Mbali and Mbaya and instead followed Nitesh's polite example.

Mahiri felt as if he was watching the personalities of his young children develope right under his nose. So far, he knew he had little influence on their existing personalities. Cocking a brow at Mbali, he realised exactly how strange this little one was. He scowled at Mbaya. She needed to be taught a lesson, not to be so vile to her siblings and especially her mother.

Mbaya snarled, turning swiftly to bite down on her mothers hand, hard enough to draw blood. Scowling in a vile manner, she opened her mouth to release some very colourful language for her age. "God, Malaika, you're so disguisting."

Mahiri gasped. "Mbaya!" He roared, picking her up and placing her in the corner of the den. "Do NOT speak to anyone that way, and how DARE you hurt your mother. I am very dissapointed in you." He shook his head, walking towards Mchele and Danzi with a smile. "Sorry about that one, she's very ill-mannered...I have no idea where she learnt such words!" Mahiri realised that he himself had let out a string of paticularly nasty language when he had hurt his paw recently. He thought no-one was listening.

Suddenly, he padded towards Malaika. "Well done sweetheart." He nuzzled her, smiling widely. This cub was certainly lovely.

Mbaya remained in the corner, fuming silently. Oh she'd show him. She swore again under her breath. She hated her family, this ideal life that her mother had, how she'd love to hurt her so much she fell apart.

"Hello Nitesh." The middle brother said, turning to look down at the little one before him. He continued to flick and wriggle his tail for the other male cub, until he grew bored of that and decided to stalk his smaller brother. "Stories? Well... I've seen a bit about the Pridelands. I suppose I could tell you about that. I don't know many stories."

He continued to watch them as Bakhti introduced the others. "Mbaya, Mbali and Malaika." He smiled a little. Nearly all 'M' names, just like his. "Mmhmm." He nodded to Malaika when she tried to pronounce his name. "I'm Mee-chell" He sounded it out for her. "Please to meet you too."

But he was quickly stunned into silence when the other tiny female actually bit his mother. eek Not to mention what she said! Even as a nearly full-grown lion he still felt a shock of fear at his father loud reprimanding roar. Thank goodness it wasn't aimed at him, but then, he'd never do or say such things as Mbaya had. "Err...yes. Malaika was very close to saying my name, and got Danzi's right." He spoke again after the commotion had calmed down, deliberately ignoring the bad cub.

Bakhti ignored Mbaya and licked at her paw, it hadn't hurt so she hadn't cared. She looked at her mate and then the others. Mchele, Danzi, Mbali, Malaika and Nitesh, outside please come on." She turned to Mbaya and snarled a little. "You move and I will give you to the hyenas for lunch." She meant it. She never believed she could be close to hating her own child but that cub, if she went off, she wouldn't be missed.

Mbali looked shocked at what his brother said, "I wanted to play.." He sulked a little and then went outside like his mother had asked, blinking abit as the sun hit his eyes. He then asked everyone but no one in particular, "Why mummy and daddy so angry with Mbaya?" He was curious to all the roaring and snarling.
