Neena shivered just slightly, a small ripple surging through her body as the winter chill hit her. She was very much used to the cold and welcomed it, yearned for it and thrived in it really - hell, she was a Snowy Owl so it only made sense, really! Before Neena had shifted, she had understood Zack, and had heard the unpleased tone Calista gave towards her, but the woman didn't blame her, she had caused a real mess. Though she wasn't the total cause, she sure felt like it and would take whatever punishment that might be doled out onto her. If an explanation is what the woman wanted, well, she would get one - no matter how brief and left out it might be, the less known the better in some cases. Blue eyes had closed briefly, to open as cloth was layed on her and look down at the material that engulfed her body being twice the size of her thin frame. Neena was small in stature, yes, but she put up one hell of a fight for whoever wanted one.
Fingers making their way into the sleeves, she buttoned up the material to make herself look decent and she stood, her hair blowing on occasion in the breeze before she turned to face the two that were there. Blue eyes turned to the male first and a small but sincere "Thank you" left her lips. Her voice sounded hoarse, as if she'd been crying or it was in severe lack of use but still sounded pleasant no matter. "My name is Neena Trinity Xavier but most call me Nia or Trin. I.." an airy sigh and her eyes averted"had been hoping to join you, but i doubt theres a chance or want of that now. I am sorry for my rudeness and I take full responsibility for sneaking in and causing a ruckus." her voice softened, her throat constriced and her body pulled a little in, arms wrapping just slightly around her body as she waited. It was apparent there had been a reason for her being spooked before and why she had done what she did, but she didn't say why and merely took her fate how it would be dealt. Neena didn't talk much, and with her short little explanation, she left too much to the imagination which might bother someone with the pessimistic way she acted.
Blue eyes flicked to the man, took in his body briefly, seemingly uninterested until she saw the curioustiy in his eyes. Head turning, she squared her shoulders and crossed her arms and let her eyes stay on him for the time being - those pupils narrowing slightly and an eyebrow quirking as if to ask 'may i help you?'. Her thoughts were everywhere and she was pulling herself within a bubble, her eyes moving past both people now to land on Hunter, looking almost accusingly only to fade to be replaced with a hurt expression, something of memory as everyone else seemed to fall from her notice and leaving one person. So many thoughts and emotions bubbled under her skin, but each was silenced as she watched him, her eyes blank as she did. She did wonder what the woman who seemed to hold the most power would do, how she would act to her rudeness still and how both men would react to her - the one she knew, or had known far too well, and the one she didn't know at all.

▷▶▷▶ LOOKOUT! 'Cause I'm just too F______A______K______E ↻ for-the-world
As they walked through the crowds of people, he heard Tabby's comment crowd of people. The seller's voices bellowed to anyone listening that might be interested in their purchases and then there were the animals and just people in general talking. It was noisy. Her comment and his lip press together in distaste of the subject. Even more so, he wondered why she was asking this now and why she had brought it up in the first place. To him, the answer was easy. Not something to be mulled over and brought up. He found it even more ridiculous that she thought that mind's have changed. He certainly hadn't, and from the looks of it, neither did Kyrian.
They were in public though, and that meant everything. Appearances were always important, and that meant looking like a pleasant man with a loving wife. A happy family more less. A small smile formed on his lips, though he kept his head looking straight ahead. "Considering he is robbing me, I'm quite sure that his mindset is the same," he replied, shortly, closing any further conversation of it. Kyrian was no better than an animal now. Not someone he would call "brother". He had brought public shame to the family, and Gabriel wouldn't reconcile with him after all this time.
They had come to the doorsteps of the Baron's home. Gabriel let go of Tabby and clasped his hands behind his back as he waited for a response from the door. It was suddenly opened by w younger woman. Her submissive look to her told her being a maid. She greeted them and escorted them inside. She wasn't bad looking. Kind of cute. He flashed her a small smile. Years ago he saw the maids more like toys. Something to be used, which he took full advantage of. He would have been lying if he had said he hadn't had his way with any of the maids during his marriage. Though, he had stopped that. That didn't mean he didn't look. Stepping into the house. Gabriel welcomed the warmth, since his body had become cold while walking. His cheeks were flushed, slightly.
He handed off his winter clothes to maid, revealing his tunic. It was then that he heard the loud voice of the baron. Gabriel looked up when he heard the loud voice of the baron, echoing down the hallways. Soon, the man appeared before them with a nod of his head. "Morning," Gabriel greeted, momentarily, moving further into the house. He looked around for a moment at the interior. "Matters to discuss about our neighbors in the woods. I've been having some complaints about missing animals," he said, almost pleasantly. He seated himself on the nearest couch, briefly glancing up at Tabitha. He switched his gaze back to the baron. "Will Ariella be joining us?" he asked, leaning back. It wasn't that he needed the baroness here. It was more the fact that it would be rude for her not to greet the viscount and viscountess if they paid a visit to their home.

The shots had been the thing that had cause all this mess, will, besides Alliyah's trust in Chandler. How had he even found her? She shook her head. When Koreena spoke, about her shoulder, Alliyah was drawn back to the shots. Of course, one had to have gotten her at least, right? Or had all three gotten her? There were some bullets that weren't for the kill. Some were just meant to do enough damage to subdue, or incapacitate. Of course, Alliyah hadn't been there, and it wasn't as if you could tell the difference, form the way the shot sounded. At least, the lioness herself couldn't tell. She was still groggy, but focused enough to look at Koreena's shoulder. There was something tied around it. The red head highly doubted that something as flimsy as that, would actually keep the tigress from bleeding out. The lioness was still thinking with half a mind, but she knew if pressure was applied to the band, even more then already administered, the blood would clot, and at least, the wound would slow form killing the Grieco Second in command. All Alliyah had to do, was get to Koreena, and press her cheek against the wound. It would add the pressure, and help clot the bleeding.
Just as the suggestion, and movements were to be made, The sound of keys came from the way of the hallway. Alliyah was working on sitting up. her head still swam with whatever had been in the needle that had been injected into her blood. She blinked a few times, taking in the menacing aspect of the person coming towards them. Upon closer inspection, the person was a female. The voice was artificial. Coming through something. Real sound didn't have the quality this noise had to it. The mask and the dark colors didn't help with making the situation any lighter. The red head watched the mysterious new comer with a defensive gaze. If this woman got too close to Koreena, then the lioness would say or do something. She wasn't even thinking rationally enough to decide what exactly she would do. There would be no contact. No anything that the tigress didn't want or invite. When the newcomer commented, Alliyah perked up a bit. If she could stand, she could maybe make it over to eh other bed. She was bound at the ankles as well. So it would be more of a hop, but Alliyah would do it if it were necessary.
Watching closer, Alliyah was getting more and more wary of the female in the mask. She was getting too close. Do not touch me. Alliyah growled low in warning at the female in the mask. Never more in her life, had Alliyah actually believed in Koreena's authority. It wasn't as if she hated the tigress, or didn't respect her. Or, maybe it was as such. Alliyah didn't much like authority. she had only tolerated it, because it meant she'd be safe, with people of her kind. That always meant safety didn't it? She looked across at the tigress and let out another low growl. She made to pull at her bonds again, trying to find a way out of them. "Back off. She told you not to touch her. It means leave her alone." The lioness was fully charged on this issue now. She wasn't going to let whoever this masked woman was, touch Koreena. There'd be huge disputes first. If needed, she'd shift. Sure, it'd choke her, probably really harm her, but she'd do it, for the distraction it would bring. Obviously, whoever had brought her and Koreena here had known about their ability to shift. There were probably planning on the bonds discouraging any shifting. this was a sink or swim situation. Her shifter, could break, or bust the situation. She wasn't really thinking on which was going to be the best decision. She was more concerned with getting Koreena away, and to the doctor in town. or home, to where someone could tend to the shoulder. They needed to get out. And they needed to go now, before the lady in the mask decided to do something crazy. ✖ ✖ ✖ ✖ ✖ ❛cause there's a side to you that I n e v e r___k n e w___|___n e v e r___k n e w all the things you'd say, they were n e v e r___t r u e___|___n e v e r___t r u e and the games you play, you would a l w a y s___w i n___|___a l w a y s___w i n ✖ ✖ ✖ ✖ ✖ Where you're at__|__People nearby__|__What you're doing__|__What you're feeling__|__Where you're wearing/what form

Kiah noticed the slight tense in her jaw. His gaze then traveled down her neck and then to other places. Taking a moment he looked back up to her face, realizing what he had said didn't make her happy. It was slightly amusing that she seemed to get jealous over the idea of an ex girlfriend. Well, he supposed she had ex boyfriends. He definitely wasn't her first person she had been with. Her words put a small smirk on his face. "Yeah, I guess you'll have to do," he said only teasing her. Tabby was beautiful, and he couldn't lie..he was still attracted to her. Though, that was out of past memories. They had a rough past and now it was over. It also added against her that she was a raccoon. Kiah was shallow and he would be the first to admit it. His women were always beautiful and if he ever wanted to claim someone as his girlfriend..well, she had to be hot, but that wasn't all on his list. She would have to be strong. If he would chose someone as his mate, she would have to be worthy to protect those in his pack along side him. Intelligence was also a big factor. He didn't need an idiot running his pack. Not that Tabby was dumb or ugly. She was a raccoon, a small animal from another pack. She would have never worked out.
When Kaysie mentioned beating Tabby up a small smile fell on his lips. Really, if the two of them fought he wasn't sure who would win..in their human form that was. They both had similar personalities. "I'll let you know if your assistance is needed," he said with a small chuckle. He was finished packing and he set his bag over by the door. Turning around he saw the blonde had made her way over to him. Hands were snaking up onto his chest and pushing him backwards. He raised his eyebrows, but didn't protest. He let her push him back until he was against the bed. This was how a lot of their nights started out. Kiah wasn't about to tell her no, though.
Sitting down on the bed, he laid back for her to climb on top of him so that her body was straddling his. His eyes closed momentarily as he felt her lips against his neck, kissing it. His hands had moved onto her thighs and made their way up as she spoke. It kind of caught him off guard. Here she was being all sexual and then she started talking about his pack not liking her? One hand remained on her thigh while the other one had slid across her a** and then to the back of her head. "Well, I like you," he said, pulling her in for a kiss. It a long one, deep, with some added biting of the lower lip while his hands roamed her body. Pulling back, he looked at her for a minute on a serious note. "Just get to know them. Spend some time with them," he told her. It was true that she spent all her time with Kiah and Kiah didn't spend too much time with the pack. Perhaps if she started talking to them. He was sure that Ryan and Alexis would take to her pretty easily..well, if Ryan was here.
Any other day, Kiah would have continued this moment. Boy, his body was protesting with his brain on what he should be doing. His body said Kaysie and his mind was telling him that they had to go. Sighing, he looked at her a bit sadly before speaking, "As much as I'd like to stay and continue this conversation, we need to get going," he told her. He was sitting up, so that meant she was sitting on his lap. Wrapping his arms around her back, he stood up, but was still holding her up. After giving her one last kiss, he set her back on her feet and headed for the door. It was time to get packed up and leave. Exiting the room, he grabbed his and Kaysie's bag and then he went towards Keeli's room since that was where all the noise was coming from.
Peeking his head inside he saw Marcus standing inside the bed room, which he found odd. The man made a good attempt at staying away from everyone as much as possible. Keeli was packing her things with the aid of Deke and Alexis. "Still no contact?" he asked the three adults in the room. While waiting for an answer, his eyes drifted towards Keeli. This wasn't good for her. She didn't need this sort of crisis at such a young age. For the most part, he planned on keeping her oblivious to the problem until she got older. Yes, they were just going for a sleep over. Kiah looked back up at them. "Five minutes, okay?" he said, without waiting for an answer. Stepping out of the room again, he grabbed the two bags and headed for the SUV.

xxxxE m i l e e continued to cry, upset on her bed alone. She did not like yelling or violence due to her past and she really didn't know what to do right now. Samael had asked her not to go far or be long, but she didn't want to be anywhere near the hot head. Sometimes she wished she were in a different pack, one with a leader who didn't flip out at his members in a time of crisis. Just then her phone buzzed in her hand, she was alone therefore, she needed not to sneak it like she had before in the kitchen, little did she know that went about noticed. Pressing a button she allowed the screen to light up so she can see that it said she received a text message. Smiling she knew it was Deke. Opening the message she read it, he was so adorable, and cared so much it was clear. Although he was probably panicking and worried himself, as was everyone else in every pack she was sure. Clicking the reply button she slowly thumbed a reply and then pressed send and laid her phone beside her on her bed and wiped her face. Again, her make up was gone.
To: Deke From: Emile Elizabeth Message: I'm not leaving, I'm in my room. See you soon... wow that sounds funny. S n i f f i n g loudly she sighed and looked out her window as she held her legs up to her chest. Koreena was some where out there, her best friend, she could be hurt... or worse dead. Sniffing again she attempted to fight away the tears, the second in command was the only person who knew of her past... knew why she acted the way she did and was scared of everything. A male voice then broke her concentration and she jumped heavily and gasped loud. "Spencer!" she gasped as she pulled her legs back to her chest and shook her head lightly so her hair would fall to cover her scar that she knew was exposed. The fact that he had scared her almost made her curse at him, but of course she kept it in as she normally did. It surprised her that he was nice enough to excuse his cousin and even make up an excuse for him, it was kind of unlike him to do such a thing. He then invited himself into her room and sat beside her on her bed. Moving oer slightly to make room for him she sniffed again, for her nose was now running from crying.xxxxS p e n c e r had wasted no time and had immediately asked her about who she was texting. Her eyes grew wide for a moment, she had to come up with something quick or else she was going to be in deep s**t. Gulping silently she sighed loudly in clear worry, "I'm so worried about Koreena, I keep texting her... knowing she will not answer but hoping that she will. To tell me she is okay and not dead..." again she sniffed after this lie, as if she was about to cry again. She knew the other female was probably within the woods somewhere and her phone probably had no service so her texts could have not made it though even if she had texted her... so she wasn't to worried about this lie falling through. Looking at the male sitting on her bed she sniffed once more as the tears dwelled within her eyes again, "What if they are hurting her Spencer... what if... I can't... If I lose her..." she said, her voice cracking every third word as she began to cry again. Emilee was indeed emotional, but she was this way for a reason. She hoped to god Deke wouldn't text her back while Spencer was sitting here that would just be bad!OOC; This can't be good! Word Count;640

xxxxI t seemed as though his explicit jokes were over looked by the female but not ignored, she would get him back some way he was sure. Cali was different, she was a leader so she took note of everything rather than acting on everything and eventually if it needed to occur she would most definitely act upon such things. This is something he liked about her, his previous joke about sex and that's what she wanted when she lead him to his room could have ended nasty some woman would have been highly offended and he could even had gotten slapped. But something told him he was able to joke with this female in any fashion he wished, perhaps they even had the same sense of humor even. That being thought the time with her seemed to fly by, she had fixed up his neck with gauze and everything. And he had made his way thought the house with her luggage as she had asked.
xxxxH u n t e r had earlier completely slumped off knowing Neena and he didn't care and Cali got the point that he didn't want to talk about it. He was grateful that she didn't ask any further questions, he really, really did not want to talk about it. The fact that she respected that made him quite happier. But as he stood there, outside, staring into the trees he debated whether or not he should leave, he heard the light foot steps of someone approaching him from behind. Sighing he lowered his shoulders and allowed his head and shoulders to hang slightly but he perked up the second he had heard Cali's voice. Damn that girl is fast. Looking over his shoulder lightly he smirked when she mentioned having to chase after him, he didn't realize she cared enough to do so really, she had other matters to attend to in all honesty. Looking beside him she was standing there, she was tall, but not as tall as him. As they stood there together Hunter fought the urge to place his arm around her shoulders, he studied her a moment he adored her wild blonde hair. After a few seconds he felt as though he was staring so he looked away with a half smile on his face. Something about this woman kept him smiling no matter how hard he tried not too.
xxxxS t a y i n g silent, for once the male didn't know what to say, he didn't have anything to say... which was rare indeed. Then the thought of leaving crossed his mind again, he wasn't okay with crowds and they were 'moving' and there were going to be three different packs in the same place. That might be difficult for him. Movement then caught his attention, looking down a little bit he noticed the beautiful woman was now standing in front of him. Watching her curiously she was interested in what she was going to say, she was looking up into his eyes and searching. What was she searching for? There was nothing there, was there? Then bang she read him like a book, stepping back he pretended to be astonished by her sentence, "What? Leave? Why would I leave such a beautiful lady?" he said, placing his hand on the back of his neck nervously. He was going to continue speaking and say something stupid like "Surely I wouldn't leave because the woman I once loved, the one who abandoned me is here! And surely not because I'm a p***y and hate lots of people in once place!". Sighing he looked down and then back up at Cali as he dropped his hand, why was it she read him to easily as if she could read his mind. To hide his inner conflicting emotions he smiled at her and stepped closer to her, "Lets get this shindig over with shall we?" he said, looking around. "I'll stand by the vehicle and pack everyone's luggage in when they bring it to me, starting with yours." he explained, picking up the suitcases and tossing them into the trunk. He wanted to be outside, and not in the middle of the chaos within the Xammar house. The Polar Bear hoped she'd understand without questioning. OOC; Hehe.Word Count; 704

O n e of the newest members of Joslyn, Blaine, had just arrived back to the house when there was the kerfuffle of moving. Looking around he wondered what the hell was going on, perhaps he shouldn't disappear for so long while shifting and he would know what was going on. Blaine hadn't really had much time to get to know his pack yet, for he'd only been apart of it for what... six months? And most of that time he was practicing being a black fox, which was his shift. When he came to these parts he was actually within his shifter form when he was found, by none other than Kiah the leader. You could say there was a slight friendship there, but who knows really. The leader of Joslyn had taught Blaine everything he now knows of being a shifter and the three different packs within this gigantic forest. But when he returned everyone was panicking and packing up a vehicle. Without asking questions he ran into the house to follow in suit, he'd have to ask questions later.xxxxO n c e within his room he immediately grabbed a sports duffel bag and stuffed it full of clothes and a few books. Blaine couldn't go anywhere without his books, he was such a nerd! Walking into the bathroom he grabbed his toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush and deodorant and thew that into the bag as well. About five minutes passed and he had grabbed everything he could possibly think of and put it within the bag and walked from his room and out of the house to the vehicle. Upon looking at Kiah he had seemed to be a little beat up, he'd have to ask him that too once they were within the car going wherever they were going. Arriving at the vehicle he threw his rather heavy bag into the trunk he round a seat within the car and waited patiently for the rest of the pack to arrive so they can be on their way.xxxxK a i h was within the vehicle now, as was the rest of the pack, including the four year old. Of course he was situated right next to Keeli but he didn't much mind. Right now was not the time to ask what was happening, although, he leader was telling the child they were going to have a sleep over. Wait... a sleep over? Where! Blaine kept his cool and quietly sat there waiting for them to get a move on. "Hey buddy, you look a little... jostled, get into a fist fight lately?" he asked in a teasing way, little did he know some idiot within the Xammar pack had gotten into a fight with him! Half of the reason he joked around was to lighten up the mood, he could feel the strong tension in the air... The smart man knew perhaps that wasn't the right thing to do but he thought he'd try none the less. They were eventually on their way and he noticed Kaysie place her hand on Kiah's thigh to comfort him. Cocking a brow he listened as she asked him if he was okay. It was killing Blaine... the fact he had no idea what was going on and that he just packed up his stuff from his home... where he was comfortable without even knowing why. But he trusted his leader, enough with his life which is why he had not, yet, asked questions. He knew he'd find out eventually.xxxxG r i e c o was where they ended up, again, Blaine cocked a brow. What the ********? Looking out the window he watched as it seemed there were plenty of people were around. Little did he know that Xammar was coming as well. They hadn't arrived yet anyways. They all piled out of the SUV and he stretched lightly, exposing a little of his sexy stomach to those who bothered looking. For a total nerd, he was pretty ripped... being a shifter it kind of just came in part and parcel. Standing next to the SUV he waited patiently, for orders of any kind or even a hint as to what he should be doing. This was very uncomfortable for him and he had no freaking clue how to react or act at all. The curiosity of the problem at stake was eating away at him, and before he even knew it words were escaping his mouth, "What exactly is going on?" he asked, whoever would answer him. He was hoping Kaih would answer but he could tell his friend was highly stressed... which was expected in a time like this.OOC; Intro <3 I am sorry for autoing them to arrive but I didn't really know what to do with him lol.

If Simba knew just what Kiara was doing right now, then he might just have a heart attack. That, and then lock her in her room for the rest of her life. Her father had a hard enough time letting her go out alone for fear of her getting hurt, not to mention a worse time letting her be near Kovu in general even when around others. So if Simba knew what Kiara was doing at this very moment with Kovu.. well, he would likely never let her be around anyone else again. The poor girl would live a sheltered live with a chastity belt around her at all times. And that would just be no fun whatsoever. But, regardless, Kiara ignored that little fear, and just enjoyed her time with the man she adored. If only she knew just how things were supposed to end up... that Kovu was planning to turn his back on her and hurt her, just so he could kill Simba. Oh, that would be terrible news to her.
By the time she pulled back, Kiara knew just how the male would react. He'd be a bit disappointed, and probably want her to go further with him. But they both knew that she wasn't about to have full out sex with him; that would just be stupid on her part. They weren't dating, and Kiara had never been with anyone before. That didn't stop other things, though. Heh. Like kisses! Anyway. Being pulled into the kiss, Kiara grinned lightly before returning it. She loved kissing him; it was new and fun, even though the human way was a bit... odd. But still, it didn't take any fun out of it, as they both were learning things together, and it was only due time before they figured most things out. Besides, most of it was natural instinct, was it not?
As soon as Kovu pulled away, Kiara made a light whimpering noise. It was then that he mentioned going before her dad came out, and a soft laugh took over the whimper. "Yeah... you're right. The last thing we need is my dad to see how much you seduce poor, innocent girls like me." The words were teasing, of course, and Kiara snuck in one last kiss to his jawline before fully pulling away. It was then that he motioned for her to follow, and Kiara was quick to obey. She kept close to him, sneaking around and whatnot with the guy she was head over heels for... at least until he was taking her to the back of a shed. Well, more so behind the shed. Which, needless to say, caught her off guard.
"Wait, wait, wait... you're taking me back here? For what? this is, like, one of the most unromantic place to beeee-oof!" Kiara's words were cut off by her being pushed against the shed. Her eyes grew wide, and the back of her head hit the wood a bit hard, causing a few stars to flutter in her vision. But, after a second, she quickly came to her senses; only to realize that Kovu was pressed against her and kissing her throat. She sighed softly, her eyes closing while she allowed the male to do whatever he pleased. Sure, this wasn't a good spot to fool around, and it wasn't the best idea to do it so out in the open [even though they were behind a shed], but still... who was she to say no? Getting to spend time with the man she adored? Yeah, there was no way in this human hell that she'd deny him attention. Well... most attention, that is. "I... nnn... no, I don't. I wanna stay here with--" Yet again, Kiara was cut off before her sentence finished. But rather than being pushed or anything this time, she was kissed. Their lips met, and Kiara just melted into him. Oh, yes, she was his now. Whatever he wanted.

Dante grew up in a cottage on the verge of the woods. There was his mother, father, and younger sister that lived with him. They were a good ways from the town, to support their farm life style. Though, to say it was a prosperous farm would be a lie. They had sheep and other live stock. His sister had a goat. Still, the family was on the borderline of poverty. His father was a man of religion. Dante was taught scriptures and the teaching of the deities (the good ones). Any of the sinister ones were used as threats to be good. People that worshiped them were bad and not to be trusted, because they only meant harm to the world. A plague, as his father liked to call them.
Besides being taught and preached to, he only really interacted with his father while working the farm. It would be safe to say that he was second to his younger sister, Annmarie. She was probably the most beautiful child in the entire town. Golden curls framed an innocent face with large blue eyes. Easily, his father's pride and joy. Being spoiled by their father, Annmarie was a terror to start with. Everything went her way, and it seemed like she didn't care much about anyone else but herself. Dante loved his little sister, but at the same time couldn't stand her. Perhaps, he was jealous of their father's attention. Still, she was family and he never wished any harm on her. His mother was less tolerant to Annmarie's tantrums. She blamed Dante's father for making her the way she was. Charmed in by her beauty.
One day, while Dante was out herding the sheep, men in armor came to farm. Dante had come of age and it was time to enlist in the forces of Brougham. His mother begged and pleaded them to let him stay, but he was taken away. It didn't turn out to be so bad. Once at the camp, Dante found he was quite clever with a sword. He easily beat his opponents, and the higher ranks noticed this off the bat. He spent ears at the camp, before they finally sent him off for a quest. The task seemed simple enough. He had fought many foes and won. Beating a water beast would be no problem, yeah? The travel took days, yet he had a few companions with him. Other soldiers, but the task was meant for him alone. They were mainly there, to make sure the beast was dead in the end.
Eventually they came to the lake. Lush greenery spilled over and into the waters. The water seemed to be a crystal blue, though it was quite small for a lake in his mind. Mist hovered around the water, and Dante really couldn't understand why a beast would live in such a lovely enviorment. Walking around the bank, he surveyed the area, and eventually tossed a stone into the water. With a ripple, a woman appeared. He couldn't say he saw a more beautiful woman in his life. He was struck entirely by awe as she approached him, whispering things he wouldn't remember later on. She was at the bank now, beckoning him and he couldn't help but to lean towards her. She cupped his cheek gently, before yanking him into the water. He was struck first with the sudden coldness of the water. The next thing he noticed was the woman's teeth. Sharp razor like teeth filled her mouth. Instead of legs, she had the looks of a fish. Hardly the maiden he had been entranced by a few minutes before!
Trying to swim up to the surface, he felt something grabbing his leg, pulling him deeper into the darkness of the water. Feeling for his sword, he found that it was no longer with him. Instead, at the bottom along the rocks, he saw a glint of it. Thrashing and kicking seemed no use. Shrilly screeches of the woman could be heard under the water and to his horror, bones of past men scattered the bottom of the lake. As he was dragged, he managed to reach for a rib bone. Lodging it into the stomach of the woman, she let out a screech and he was let go. Grabbing up his sword, he swam to the top of the lake, gasping for breath. As he was pulling his body out of the water, something bit into his leg, causing him to cry out. With a slash of his sword, the woman's head was cut off, the body being carried down with the other skeletons.
After that, Dante had proved himself to be a warrior. The town rejoiced and he was proclaimed a hero. Yet, as any hero he had to uphold the title. There were other towns with beasts that troubled them. Really, he felt that luck followed him. He has yet to do another quest, since then. At the moment, Dante is traveling the area in search of some sort of monster to slay.
