Tomoko walked slowly, as to give Vaith ample time to copy down her illusioned up map, smiling the entire time. Clearly she had already let the bygone of harassed ears and meanness go by without holding it against him. She just thought he was cranky, by any means. The kitsune shrugged a bit.
"As long as you know the basic colors, you can figure things out pretty easily." She nodded. "It took a while to color code things though..and I still get lost 'cause the system doesn't take certain rooms into account.." There was many a time Tomoko had walked into the wrong classroom.
Which was unfortunate.
The kitsune paused to look at the familiar, making a 'scritchy' gesture with her fingers to offer it something probably similar to scratching the back of a cat. Then again, she used it on bakekitsunes herself (she could imagine Desades was getting antsy while she was gone).
None the less, once the dorms were in view, Tomoko made a point of making sure to walk to the reaper dorm first. She didn't want Vaith getting lost somewhere between where they were and his home!!!
And this was quite clear from how careful she was to make sure he was still with her as she walked, ears completely perked up.
"Well, I like helping. Probably not what I should be doing though... but getting you even more lost wouldn't have helped either of us because then I would have been lost too..." her head sort of scrambled itself up at the idea of it.
"Just be careful. I'm sure any other demon would have been asking for favors by now.." she paused for a moment, considering it before rubbing one of her ears with her free hand. "Actually, my favor is that my ears get left alone in the future... ;;;;;;"

The familiar preened under her hand, curling itself around the crook of her arm. Scratching the back of it's head would probably feel a little jagged, considering the noise structure of it's form. Red eyes closed, a static-y purring noise erupted from the familiar.
It decided it liked Tomoko very much.
Vaith didn't think it was possible to get lose between here and his dorms .. but considering his tendency to take shortcuts, he was pretty sure that he might have successfully done the impossible. Vaith tipped his head, his own attention caught by her vocabulary word: demon.
First thought? Something like this: "TOMOKO WAS A DEMON?!!! SHE WASNT SOME FLUFFY CAT HELPER?!"
Second thought: EARS TOO FUN. sad !! NO CAN DO WITH REQUEST. WHAT CAN I REPLACE IT WITH DDDD:
Some silence followed Tomoko's request, as Vaith tried really hard to think about whether or not to give in-- if not, what could he repay in return for creating a nifty map? He couldn't just skip it. As a reaper with a thin but rigid set of values, a favor must be repaid.
" ..... How about we switch that request to my cape instead? You can use it whenever you want. Even when you're cold, I'll run out to give it to you-- Doesn't it sound like a way better deal?" He pointed to the fluffy cloth, adorned with the star ornament.

Tomoko was a very much fail demon..who was very much easily distracted by anything starry. Had Vaith picked up on that from the kitsune's obsession with her precious possession? It was possible either way. She sort of stared in awe of the lovely cape and probably would have reached out to stroke it if she didn't have a ball of stars in one arm and a familiar happily nesting in the crook of the other.
D'oh!
"Ooooooohhhh! I would very much like that!" Tomoko said, one of her three tails (the dominant, as it always had this task) lifting up and wagging slightly. Wag wag wag. She was easily swayed from wanting her ears to remain unharassed...
and she'd get to wear a cape and feel like a superhero! Woo!
"I'll try to not let it drag and get messy." she added, puffing her chest out and nodding firmly like SHE HAD TO DO IT OR IT WOULD BE A CRIME AGAINST THE CAPE.
Which it would have been.
