"A valley, eh? What about creepy crawlers and such? There must be LARGE beasts on the other side of the river because the shadows are much bigger than I," she said. Akira paused for a brief moment and puffed out her chest with a daring grimace. "One day I'll travel to the other side and see for myself. There must be beasts and monsters just waiting to be noticed," she proudly said. "Or not to be noticed. I'm sure I'd make a perfect meal with some flesh-eating forest monster," she laughed softly. Akira followed Gloss and lept up in joy. "The Moonlight Herd! Yes, yes! Do you know of someone there? I surely haven't seen you within the herd," she looked to Gloss brightly.

Gloss was giving her a wideeyed and mollified expression. "You might be seeing shadows of the adults. They tend to come and go since some have....lovers...elsewhere." His voice had gone soft at the word lovers. He trotted along, picking his way through the low foliage. "I do know several in the Moonlight herd.... The leaders are my family. Lore is my father. Khide and Meleena's kids are both cousins and nieces and nephews of mine. My brothers Aries and Cygnus have mated with them." He chuckled, "them being Khide and Meleena that is..." He looked over at Akari. "I plan to stay in the Moonlight herd as an adult."

"So you're like royalty, yes?" she asked as she trailed a bit behind him. "I never would've guessed," she whispered as her eyes strayed away from him. "You surely don't seem like royalty. Don't take offense of it though. I'm just saying," Akira said. She blinked to him quickly and then looked away again. "But the saying goes to not judge one by his or her's appearance," she said. "That's what I was taught." Akira paused as she followed behind him with her eyes looking about the greenery. "I surely don't look like a girly-girl," she said. "Everyone I've met thinks that I'm so stuck-up with my head up in the clouds. Even colts fancy me, but I've never took any care into them. Mind me, but I think they're the ones with their heads up in the clouds." Akira laughed softly as she trotted up a bit closer behind Gloss. "But that's nice. I should take it as an honor to meet you," she said with a smile.

He watched her for a moment. She seemed to act a bit differently around him with the knowledge of his royal status. But he simply snorted. "I'm But he simply snorted. "I may be a prince but that is it. Just a title. I think myself a regular kind of guy. Smart tho. I like to explore and learn new things. " He suddenly took off at a gallop and ran around a bunch of trees. He came back towards her and slide to a stop. "I love to run too." And he trotted in place. "I dont think any fillies have taken notice of me. I tend to keep to myself..."

Akira laughed softly as she looked to Gloss. "Now I believe you're speaking of nonsense. What filly wouldn't take notice of a young Prince. You say that it's only a title but it's a powerful title nonetheless," she said with a soft smile. Akira turned her head around away from him as she looked ahead. "I haven't got the time for taking notice of any colts. All that lovey-dovey mushy-gushy stuff is a waste of my time. Life is much too short to waste time on love. Instead I'm always planning a new adventure and meeting new faces," she quickly glanced to Gloss. "You shouldn't keep yourself," her eyebrows furrowed as she spoke. "You should befriend those you can. Everyone could use friends," she smiled. Akira paused as she blushed lightly before blinking away from him. "Not to mention being by yourself can be quite lonely and boring," she laughed softly with a smile.

He eyed her for a moment. "I do plan to meet others and make friends. " Sighing Gloss carefully picked his way down a slight hill. "Besides...I do socialize with those of two herds. And I'm talking to you...." he looked up at her. Then trotted away, looking back to see if she followed. "So your in the herd more than I am. What do you do. And your family, who are they?"

"Yes. You are talking to me," Akira stated as she glanced to Gloss. "But you don't REALLY seem to be taking interest in it. And you're quite boring which makes me believe that you're not all that sociable even when you say that you are," she said. Akira shrugged as she trotted ahead a bit and then swished her tail. "I only state the obvious," she said as she glanced back at him. "Then again you're a Prince. And that wasn't quite obvious," she grinned. "I was born of Yue and Miyu. I have four other brothers and sisters," she smiled. "Shouldn't you know who my parents are?" she blinked, looking to Gloss. "And shouldn't you know who I am? Isn't that apart of your duties to know who I am?" her eyebrows furrowed with a playful smile.

Gloss looked aghast. Great...now he was boring too. He sighed and trotted along side her, all the while listening. He quirked a smile at her questions. He stopped and looked at her. "You didn't know who I was and yet I'm the son of one of your herd's leaders. I'm also of two herds. I can't know everyone at such a young age. But now it seems I must." He started to trot again and flicked his tail. "I'm sorry I'm so boring. I study a lot and don't play much. But I've always wanted to make a friend and go on adventures. Hopefully being the eldest son of Lore wont hinder that."

Akira laughed softly as she smiled to Gloss. "You see! That's your problem," she nudged him and nipped at his mane gently. "You're so busy studying that you've forgotten about the world out here," she paused for a brief moment as she just looked at him. "Have you ever just stopped and listened to the forest? Just listened to the way the birds sing their morning songs, the wind dancing through the trees, and the way the rivers lap against the grassy banks. The forest has many sounds and all you have to do is listen," she smiled. "Come! I'll show you!" Akira flicked her tail as she lept ahead and then galloped over a small fallen tree. "Come on Gloss!" she chanted out, smiling brightly as she looked to him and then ahead.

Gloss smiled at her and then took off after her, leaping over the fallen tree. "I'm coming!" he called. This was great. He had a friend or so he hoped. She was opening his eyes to his surroundings and showing him what he never stopped to see. He ran after her, his tail flagging. Who cares if he was due to visit his father. Glossanor was having an adventure. Joy bubbled in his chest as he stretched his still spindly colt legs. "Where are we going?" he called breathlessly.

Akira laughed loudly with a blossoming smile as she looked back to Gloss. "It's not far!" she called out and then quickly sprinted off to the left, dodging the trees that were in her way. The young filly snorted as her hooves kicked up the earth and the wind danced through her mane and tail as she galloped. Akira was in total bliss. This is what she loved and was clearly shown on her face. The filly slowed her gait, auds flickering at the sound of nearby stream flowing peacefully over the terrain. She glanced back to make sure Gloss was keeping up with her.

Glossanor kept pace with her, aware of where she went. He followed in her hoof prints. His mother gifted him with sure-footed hooves, endurance and agility, and the joy of running without a care. He moved with arcturian grace, the rays of sun glinting off his crystal hooves and horn. He nickered at her when she glanced back and tossed his still short fluffy mane.

Akira neared closer to the stream that flowed quietly within the most deepest, hidden parts of the woodlands. She slowed down to a near canter and glanced back at Gloss again with a bright smile. "Almost there," she called out to him softly but loud enough for him to hear. "I want to show you this place. I found this cave when I was out venturing on my own. It's my own secret glade," she smiled. The young filly continued to follow the stream until she came to a large mountain's face. The water seemed to be flowing out from a large crevice that was big enough for a large animal to crawl through. Akira stepped into the cool water and shivered at the touch, but she continued into the dimly lit cave. She glanced back to Gloss to motion him to follow. Akira looked ahead and continued. The cavern wasn't that long as it was only a couple feet. Sunshine greeted her and she smiled heartily as she looked to the glade. Wild flowers of every kind grew in the small meadow that was protected by mountain walls. The circular meadow looked magical as the grassblades grew soft and plenty with a couple large oaks towards the back that provided shade to the birds that nested there. Akira smiled and walked up onto the bank. The water so clear that anyone could take notice of the small fish and pebbles. Akira's smile blossomed as she paused and smelled the earth and flowers that grew in abundance here.

Gloss slowed down as well and smiled at her. He was delighted that she'd share something so special to her. They had just met merely minutes ago and here he was...following her into the stream, through the cave. He caught her motion and picked up his pace slightly as he had lagged behind, in awe of the cave. He suddenly stepped out into the sunlight and it bounced off his hooves and horns in a colorful shower befitting of the glade he now stood in. The air was sweet and fresh. He took several more steps in and took another deep breath of the air and smells. "It's so beautiful here...." he murmured.

Akira smiled softly as she looked to Gloss. "A simple rose with the softest petals is beautiful," she blinked away from him. "The word beautiful could not describe such a place like this one," she paused as she stepped forwards. "This glade is magical," she whispered with a soft sigh. Akira's smile blossomed as she dipped her head down and inhaled the sweet scents of the wildflowers. "It's free to travelers alike. It would be rude and greedy to keep such a place as my own. Besides, it's not really my home." Akira nodded her head to the few birds that flew from branch to branch and the little chipmunks that scurried in between the trees. "If you ever find yourself lost than I can only hope that you'll find yourself here. Maybe you'll be granted with answers," Akira turned to Gloss. "I'm glad you like it here," she smiled.
