"Huh?" She looked at him, clearly baffled by his questions. "Why shouldn't I go to the Junkyard? It has great stuff..." There was obviously, in her mind, nothing dangerous about it at all. The girl was playing with fire, and it may have been pure dumb luck that she'd yet to be burned.

She must be really lucky. To someone on the streets, someone like Jerome, walking around that aria wasn't a problem, most of the hoodlums and hobos there knew of Jerome, if nothing else than by appearance, they didn't mess with him. But someone like Izumi, would get messed with. This chick was going to get herself killed.
"Guess its got good stuff, but ya know the kind of people that hang down there..."

Izumi wasn't paying attention to Jerome's half warnings about the kind of people that hung around the Junkyard, she was, instead, grabbing a large durlap sack and slinging it over her shoulder. "Um... You can wait here if you want. I should be back in an hour." How had she survived for a year in Camphoreon? She'd only met this man two other times, once after he'd been shot, and she was ready to leave her shop unattended with him inside?
Apparently so, since she'd grabbed her keys and was starting to head out the door.

She was doing it again!? He stared at her, completely taken aback, and not sure what to do, she was... leaving. For a few moments he just stared at her as she left, remaining in an empty shop.
He wanted to see if she was really going to leave him here with all of her stuff, he wanted to see if this wasn't some kind of joke of trick. But no... yeah she was leaving, he saw her round the corner. <********"
It was than that he moved, crossing the shop and going out into the street to hurry after Izumi.

Izumi walked quickly down the streets, eventually turning down an alley. Most people would have avoided going that way to the Junkyard, of course they'd have avoided going to the Junkyard all together too. The girl didn't look the least bit worried, and walked with purpose, like she knew exactly where she was going. The Beldum had remained back in the shop, so she was, as far as anyone knew, defenseless.

Hw was able to catch up with her easy enough, looking around quickly to scan the aria as they walked. Great, this wasn't a good idea. Oh s**t! and neither is that! He reached out quickly when she suddenly turned and started to go down an alley.
"Woh woh! don't go down that way."

One minute Izumi was starting to walk down an ally she'd walked down at least ten times, but the next thing she knew, someone had grabbed her and started to pull her back. The girl yelled, obviously startled, and then clammed up suddenly. She looked back wide-eyed at Jerome, who would probably quickly realize that instead of the warm skin of an arm, he was holding on to cold metal. "P-pl-please... um- no- p-please... I-I'm going to the Yard... I- p-please let go..."

Well there was a reaction he was familiar with, so her sudden yell didn't surprise Jerome. He did stop pulling her though, frowning softly when she froze up, and opened his mouth to say something else when she turned to look at him her eyes wide. He knew that look to.
Blinking his own eyes a couple of times, his gaze slid down to the arm he was holding, feeling more like he was holding a metal pole of something. He had grabbed her mechanical arm. a few seconds after her request he let go of her arm, taking a step back. "I've got a better way to go to the yard. don't be goin' that way anymore" He half growled, looking away from her and down the street.

"U-um... O-okay..." Izumi calmed down some after her arm was released; Either she didn't like to be touched, didn't like her prosthetic to be touched, or a combination of both. She rubbed her metal arm and stared at Jerome, wondering why he'd left her shop. "I-is this way quicker?" Maybe he wanted to look around for useful things too, or maybe he was going to help her look for the alternator she needed. She could certainly use the help, the junkyard was really big.

She wasn't arguing with him, so he started down a different, more open path. At her question he hesitated "yeah, sure." It wasn't shorter at all, it was longer, but, it wasn't some dark alley that he knew people got mugged, and even killed in.
He continued leading the way, wearing a soft frown on his face, this whole ordeal very puzzling.

"Oh!" She smiled, following along behind the dreadlock'ed man; That was very nice of him, showing her a faster way to the junkyard. "Why aren't you waiting at the shop? Did you want to see the Yard? It is really neat- sort of like a toy store- but with better toys." It didn't occur to Izumi that Jerome could be leading her anywhere, or that someone would mug her, or that anything bad could happen to her in the city. Things like that didn't happen where she was from.

Jerome was well aware of the fact that just being in this city right now, especially this aria was a risk to his own life. Even if he was a part of Team Rocket now, he was still former ET-14, and trespassing on Griffin's new turf, this was enough reason for them to get rid of him. He kept careful watch as they walked.
Her question did give him pause to consider his answer... why exactly did he come? partly to see if she was for real about going there on her own. "Don't like bein' indoors much" he answered. "I've been there before, figure I could stop by again for a bit."

"Y-you could, um... maybe... help me look for an alternator? I-if y-you um, wanted to..." Izumi said quietly from behind Jerome, shrinking back into herself from the anxiety of asking someone to do anything. It was rude to ask him to help her look for that thing- it could take hours, and he definitely had better things to do, and she'd just met him, really. "S-sorry... Forget I said a-anything..."
A few blocks ahead of them there rose a large fence, with piles of scrap and discarded machines peeking over the top. The junkyard.

His head turned to the side, first on to side that had dreads draped in front of his vision, shaking him back enough to allow his contrasting gaze to fix on her.
"yeah, sure." He replied, not seeing a problem with that. though making it sound like it was becasue he had nothing better to do. ... not that he really did anyway. "I know my way 'round there."

"O-oh- Um- Okay." A faint smile crossed her face when he agreed to help her. Maybe asking for help wasn't rude? Maybe Jerome was just really nice, like he kept seeming every time she saw him.
"I-If you find an alternator, let me know." Izumi said when they entered the junkyard before trotting excitedly over to a pile and digging into it, tossing things to either side while she searched.
