"Wish I could just casually take off of school..." Bul snorted at the remark. Of course he didn't know what he'd do with himself since all forms of entertainment were here on campus. "It may not be too busy right now but you're perfectly right.. and I will have lots of time. Probably way too much of it."
Laughing down the hall Bul stumbled upon a thought he had since he had helped Seiji move in. "Mei I'm thinking about getting a minipet. Just one, I mean... something that doesn't require a lot of attention or anything and can live in my room. You got any good suggestions? I'm generally not a big fan of fluffy unless it is a blanket or something.."
They passed through the quad next which smelt fresh like Spookday morning and Bul crooned his head back some to sniff the air. Sometimes he wished his room smelt this good but it didn't help that he refused to take care of it. He may have to recruit some help from Mei or Seiji to get it fixed back up provided neither hurled at what they may find.

"Heh heh, I think most students would. Especially now." Stretching her limbs out in front of her, she soon puffed her chest out. "Of course I'm right!" Giving a small snicker as she returned to her usual posture, she returned her gaze to the boil. "I've heard the first year is usually more awkward, so I'm sure second and third year will be much better."
Blinking as he asked her opinion on a minipet, she glanced upwards, tapping her finger against her chin in thought. "Hmmmmm..a minipet that's easy to take care of, and not fluffy.." Reaching into her sweater pocket, she pulled out a smaller version of her HP dolls and handed it to Bul. "Hee, you can take that until we can find you a proper minipet. If you like, we can go to the maul sometime and see what they have for sale?" Because obviously, the doll wouldn't do.
The fresh air was definitely welcomed by the doll as they walked, relieved to smell something other than her own room for a change. As much as she would want to deny it, she truly did miss the school. It was nice to be back, and she could hardly wait for classes to start again.

"Man fuuuuck being a snot. Man we're so lucky we're the first class of students through here there's no ******** way to compete with higher year students.." Bul sighed. Of course there was Remi but Bul was unaware of the boil's second year status.
He continued to contemplate the idea of the pet when Mei pulled out a doll and handed it to him. It caught him by surprise but he gently took the plushie and glanced up at her. "Wow thanks Mei.." he said sincerely. Such a sudden and touching gift, the half beast really couldn't come up with anything to say. "Yeah yea totally-" he said as he cleared his throat.
This is an interesting doll..
His gaze shifted from the small object back to Mei. "We will have to go sometime last time I went was with Seiji but I wasn't interested in minis."

"Definitely. Can you imagine what it would be like? I never want to go through that." If they were to face off against students with higher skills then they're own, they would be owned before the battle began. It was a blessing that they arrived at the academy's first year, and not further on. "I wonder if they'll keep us all in our year groups though. Then again, I somehow doubt that. Well whatever. I guess we'll find out later."
Smiling when he didn't even so much as flinch when she had handed him the doll, she was half expecting him to give it a pass. Rubbing at the back of her neck, she nodded and dropped her hands back at her sides. "Welcome." Not that it would be much practice for him, as he couldn't feed it, or..really do anything with it. It was alive, but it was also a still doll. At least this one wouldn't fall apart in his hands like it would in hers.
"Sounds like fun!" Curious to see what they had in stock now, she was more curious to see what he would pick out, if anything at all. "So what made you change your mind about getting a minipet?"

"Well... I mean.. the school gets new students all the time its so weird. I have a feeling I will be one of the last few to get there though, I have yet to take any more classes than music .. but who knows maybe they'll pass me if I try really really hard," Bul shrugged with a light chuckle and stroked the doll's head. The curious little mini was so.. quiet it was hard for him to really grasp the idea around the fact it was alive.
"Eh... a bit of that loneliness and a dash of curiosity. I mean.. there's a whole class for minipets and I really don't know a thing about keeping em. Pretty much why I wanna start with something a little.. self-sustained. I might get something to put in a tank but Id love to let something crawl around on its own.. being cooped up is never fun!"
Of course in Bul's mind, the dream minipet was a big hulking komodo-dragon sized pet that would slither around on his floor and n** at visitors' feet. It was the best idea ever to the boil!

"Ehh? Why would you think that? I'm sure you'll make it through. But I totally hear you on the classes. I seriously need to get my act in gear and take up a few more.. I've been..slacking, you could say." Slacking was an understatement. Since she had arrived at amityville, she hadn't really got into many classes. That was something she needed to change--and fast..especially when came time for the final exam for this year. Something of which, she was no yet prepared for.
"Aw, well a minipet will definitely help with that." The minipet class was something she should surely look into later..her pets could use a little training themselves.. "Hmm." Tapping her finger against her cheek in thought, she skimmed over a mental list of minipets that may apply to something of his liking. Not that it helped much. "Like a reptile sort of mini?" No doubt, they would fair well in his room, what with the heat lamp and all. "Unfortunately I can't think of any of the top of my head, but I'm sure we'll find something at the minipet shop that will suit your taste." If not, they could always do some research on them, right?

"Yeah I'm totally gonna have to do some research before I jump right in and get one," Bul clawed at the ground beneath them with his talon-esque toes. "Training I haven't even thought of that so yea... it'll have to be something reptilian probably. Or a fish. As long as it likes warm water of course." It'd be hard to get used to but Bul could handle having an aquarium in his room. Plus it could add a touch of badassery if he could find himself a cool aquatic beastie.
Bul still had his snot ball out and started to kick it up again then smiled to Mei. "You wanna give kicking it a try?" he asked and 'passed' it in her direction.

"I never thought you would want a fish though. 'specially since you don't like water." She grinned, trying to wrap her head around the idea of the snot monster attempting to clean the fish tank when it came time. "Well, I'm sure there will be plenty that will be appealing to your tastes, anyways." and by taste, she meant choice..not food. Did Bul eat fish...? Er..well, whatever.
Watching as he kicked the snot ball around again, she stopped in her tracks when he offered her a try. "Eh? Really?" Reaching over, taking it into her grasp, she merely examined it for a moment or two before letting it fall from her hand, in attempt to kick it back up. And kick she did---right into a wall that was.. "...." Walking over to the wall, the doll pried it off, and started again. This would take some time.. "Its harder than it looks.." She admitted.

Bul shuddered some and nodded uneasily. "Yea I actually really hesitate at the idea but..." Fortunately it wouldn't mean having to swim with the pet if he got a small enough tank. "I'll continue to mull it over."
Watching her drop the snot ball, Bul wasn't surprised to see it go straight for the wall. At least she managed to hit it! "Hahaha it is though isn't it?" He pretended to play alongside her lifting his legs and bending one inward imitating a motion of his game. "You wanna use the sides of your feet and not your toes unless you want it to go flying in whatever direction you kick."
"I'll make you a snot ball with a ton of algae so its not... as snotty. Might be easier to practice with," he grinned.

"Yeahhh, I can see why you'd be hesitant about it." She nodded. "Well, if you do happen to go for a fish minipet, I'll give you hand whenever I can. I'm trying to get myself used to water as much as I can. Not an easy task..especially since I can't get this wet." She added, lifting the incantation scroll for him to view. If anything happened to that, it would be sleep time for the doll..or at least until she got a new one. Thankfully she was able to wrap it up with a watertight seal over it when dealing with water.
Rubbing the back of her head, embarrassed, Mei watched him give a small demonstration of the proper way to kick it, rather than the wrong way---which she had demonstrated with perfection. "Like this?" She asked, kicking it with the side of her foot, still fumbling it now and again, but not as much as she had before, and with less force. It would take some---a lot of practice, but she could see herself getting into this kind of game.
"Really? That would be great! It would give me something to do in my spare time." Not to mention, it would be fun. "Thanks, Bul!"

That was certainly news to the half beast. All the strange stipulations and 'rules' that Mei had to abide by were rather confusing. They weren't per say rules but constant little reminders that he would never ever be able to keep track of. The incantation script however would be of utmost importance to Bul.
"Yea yea like that! You've got it." Crossing his arms proudly, Bul gave her a nod of approval. "Just takes practice then you kinda develop a rhythm." Nothing made him more pleased than making snot balls for friends.
Their walk around the school had lasted quite some time now and Bul had to get back in order to get a good workout in before bed. "I think it's getting rather late and I'd rather not intrude on any plans of yours. Let's walk back."

"Okay! I'll be sure to practice then!" Pleased that she had finally got the idea of the game, she continued to kick it a while longer before kicking it up high enough for her to catch it and toss it about in her hands as they walked.
Stopping when he mentioned the hour--or at least how late it was--Mei squished the snot ball between her hands lightly before nodding at the boil. "Good call. If there is any classes starting soon, its probably best we be well rested for when they start." She admitted before placing the ball in the palm of her hand, holding it out to Bul for him to take it. "We should do this again sometime." Smiling, she placed it in his hands and gave a small hug goodbye. "See you later Bul!" With that said and done, she gestured a wave and moved for her dorm.
