The hesitation and distraction cost Fox, as Nuke picked up on this opportunity and picked Fox's knee, causing him to fall on the chopped knee! He gave a shout of pain at the sudden attack to his knee!
Fox fell to his side and held that knee close to his chest, trying to protect it from further attack.

Wanting to take another grand opportunity, Nuke grabbed hold of Fox's free leg and aimed to drag him to the center of the ring. If successful, he would drop down to the mat and go to put in place a hard Ankle Lock!

Dragged to the center of the ring, Fox scrapped and clawed, in vain, at the canvas to grab the ropes, as the pain from his ankle was screaming down his leg!

That's it, it was locked in!
Nuke leaned forward and grabbed hold of Fox's knee, making sure to torque the entire lower leg, instead of just the ankle. Crying out in bloodlust, he was seemingly determined to do some damage to Fox's ligament.

Now the knee was being worked over too and Fox shouting out profanities in his shouts of pain! He grabbed his head, holding out the best he could and pulled his hair down his face and gnawed on the heels of his palm.

The ref knelt down, asking Fox if he wanted to quit. Looking over at his victim, Nuke grinned sadistically, as he continued to torque and pressure the knee.

Fox shook his head 'no' and began to push himself up, attempting to to crawl forward toward the ropes, fighting the pain and urge to tap.

Nuke continued to place pressure and torque the entire leg of Fox, knee downwards, this was Fox's only chance to reach the ropes. He was getting closer and closer, inches away.
The crowd cheered him on in approval, willing him to reach the ropes and turn this match around. Other fans were shouting at Fox to tap out, to give Nuke the revenge that he claimed to deserve.

Fox was sooo close! The tip of his index finger was just touching the bottom rope.. but, oh, no! Fox just quit right there and tapped, tap, tap, tap, tap! The crowds cheers turned to boos and heckles! Fox was right there! How could he puss out now?

[[I've been swaying in and out of Tweener/Heel, just trying to work out a decent angle to get this storyline moving. Perhaps working Tweener or Face might be best, seeing as it's Nuke vs Management.]]
That was it, Fox was tapping to Nuke's signature Ankle Hold!
Letting go of the leg, he shot to his feet, having his arm thrown up in the air by the referee. The crowd still gave very mixed reactions, but as that Intercontinental Championship finally was handed over to the former Uncrowned Champion, he was ignoring everything around him beside the gold in his hand.
