Keeping steady for Riley, Jericho helped guide her back to the bed, looking a little alarmed as she crumpled onto it. At least it was just the bed though. He gave her legs a light pat, then looked towards Luce with a chuckle. The dragon went on and tore off a bit of the charred meat for the hungry pup as he took a bite for himself.
"That's good to hear" he replied to the two others, "I'm sure you're itching to get out of your room soon."
Gimbal lowered the platter once the brain was taken and for a moment he tilted his head at the mindflayer. She certainly wasn't saying such nice things before but he'd take what he could get. The kobold let out a satisfied chirp of sorts and his tail thumped lightly on the ground before he went off to put the platter away.
Jericho was just glad the little guy wasn't freaking out right now like he did when he first met the Illithid.

Luce happily snatched up the bit of meat, chewing it up in an instant and then laying down at Jericho's feet, resting her chin on his toes. Best best friend.
Malodore scooted over on the bed to wrap its arms around Riley's waist. "Va bene. Exercises begin today, I think; the muscles must not atrophy or grow ill through lack of use. It will hurt, but it is most important to a proper recovery."

The arms wrapping around her waist resulted in a crumpled Riley greedily soaking in the affection by curving towards it, snuggling her face into it's neck for a moment. She lifted back up slightly, if only to poke away at her brains. No, you're right. That is why I started the day with a test to see if I could walk. Clearly I can, which means it's time to exercise. Besides, it has been too long. Every muscle in my body has been itching to move.
As if reminded of just how badly she wanted to do it, she put the half-eaten brains down and decided to try getting up again. This time, her goal was the door to her apartment. Stubborn as ever, she tried to do so with as little support as possible.
I can't run, yet. But I demand at least a walk. She wobbled, but caught her balance before she fell. I'm sure Luce wouldn't mind getting out, as- She stopped, turning rigid, as her left leg gave out, and she balanced herself on her right one until it was under her control again. -as well. I kind of look like I'm tight-rope walking. Perhaps we should get a tightrope, and see how good I am at it..

With a chuckle, he patted the pup on the head and continued to chow away. Once he had finished eating, Jericho scooted closer to the other two and placed a hand onto Riley's shoulder, grinning.
"Sounds like a plan to me. As for the tightrope, I'm sure you'd be able to do that with little to no problem," he said, "Also if you do well on your walk today I could take you flying as a little treat. Nothing crazy but it should help you get back to normal still."
She had to balance and grip him pretty well to remain on his backside in any case.

"I have researched the appropriate exercises," Malodore said; it carefully got up out of the bed and stretched, joints popping audibly. "I believe riding would also be excellent strength re-training. Fortunately, there is an abundance of material on tending to humanoid leg structure. If you were, say, a swamp beast, it would be a bit more esoteric."
Once the meat was gone, Luce let out a little, wuffly sigh - but her ears perked up at the sound of her name being 'spoken'.

Riley touched the doorknob just as flying was mentioned, and she turned back around in cheerful spirits. A quick sigh lifted her chest, and in her eyes was a bright smile. The brightness dimmed, just a touch, when her eyes turned down to the bed, and then returned up to Jericho. Something troubled her.
Flying. She repeated, though the excitement she'd had a moment ago was tempered with worry. Can, ah. Can Malodore come along, or..
She flushed a dark color, visibly embarrassed at having to ask Jericho the question. It was kind of uncomfortable, and she worried that she was putting him in an awkward position. It's okay if you'd rather not. She told him privately. She knew how touchy he was about who rode him.

Even Mal seemed to agree! However, the grin faded a bit as Riley asked if the Plague Doctor could tag along for that. His gaze shifted over towards Malodore briefly, considering things. He was a little uncomfortable with giving those not the Mindflayer a lift when the situation didn't call for him to carry others.
".. Maybe just this once," He said after a long pause. The dragon wasn't really sure about it still, but maybe it wouldn't be too bad. Mal was very important to Riley after all.

"I would be honored," Malodore said solemnly, nodding to Jericho. "Elder plague doctors may gain the skies... but the ability is not often used, hidebound as they are. Still, every young plagueling dreams of flight." It opened its beak in a smile. "I assure you, I am exceedingly light and will not burden you unduly."

Riley could tell that Jericho was a little uncomfortable with the idea. She wouldn't have been offended if he had said no, but it was obvious just how excited she was that he had agreed. She almost lost her balance as she walked over and gave him a hug. Excellent. This will be more fun than I expected the day to be. She reached her hand out, offering it to Malodore. I want to go. I want to go right now.
Was that the best idea? Probably not. Was anyone going to convince her otherwise? Probably not.

Looking back and forth between the two, Jericho grinned a bit before getting up to stretch out some more. He still wasn't completely comfortable, but it probably wouldn't be too bad to let Mal fly with them just this once. If anything, perhaps the Plague doctor could help make sure Riley was secure. The dragon wasn't too sure how well she'd be able to hang on in her current state and all.
Of course, the mindflayer also wanted to go right this instant. Most likely that wasn't the greatest of ideas considering she barely had much of a chance to get her legs working again, but something told him that the doctor and himself wouldn't be able to convince her otherwise.
"You sure you want to go right now?" he asked with a raised brow, wanting to make sure, "If that's the case we better get outside."
He shot a glance towards Mal to see if there were any objections to this plan.

"It is best to strike when the iron is hot, so to speak," Malodore said, taking Riley's hand in both of its own. "Though I would advise a few stretches beforehand."

Sure. Sure. Stretches. Let's go. She took one hand of each, and started for the door - only to lose her balance and lean into the closed door with a bit of a smack. She let go of both hands, pushed herself off of it, and acted like nothing had happened.
.. Right. Okay. She opened the door, and strode out. Long, forced steps took her to the last door, and she opened it quickly to flood the room with light.
Out you go, dears. Her excitement was palpable, and it was difficult to stifle it in her voice. She wanted out worse than a puppy, and she was not going to let anything stop her.

Jericho couldn't help but cringe as Riley stumbled, but she seemed to be alright. With a light chuckle, he just shook his head and headed out of the room and out the dorm in general. The weather outside was relatively nice for Halloween standards.
Once he was in a spot that had enough room, he went on and removed his pin to immediately shift to his true form. It had been awhile since he had taken his natural state, so it felt nice to take on this form again. He stretched out his wings, then glanced to make sure Mal and Riley hadn't been left in the dust.
He also went on and crouched down so the two could climb aboard whenever they were ready.

"It's been some time since I've seen you do that," Malodore remarked as Jericho shifted; then it looked down at the ground, where Luce waited, her tail wagging hopefully. "Torneremo presto, tresorina," it murmured.
The pup sat down, drooping a little, then thumped her tail against the ground again.
That taken care of, Malodore turned to Riley. "Just a few quick stretches, per favore? Like this-" The plague doctor demonstrated a few quick, lunge-type stretches.

Riley looked about ready to jump on board, when Malodore stopped her and exhibited some examples of the stretches it wanted her to do. Never one to turn down a good stretch, Riley followed it's actions, both touched and amused at how it was taking care of her.
When she was done, she reached out and took it's claws in her hand, bringing them up to her cheek. Did you really do research on appropriate stretches for me? She asked quietly. That was very sweet. She then looped her arm around the one she held, and led it over to Jericho. Her other hand reached out and patted down the scales in front of her.
You're very sweet, too, for being okay with this. But you knew that. She chuckled, and let Malodore go. I'll get up there first, and then I'll help pull you up, all right?
Only, she wasn't quite taking into effect how her legs would respond when she tried to swing herself over him, and instead of clamping down they remained just as loose as ever. Her arm wrapped around Jericho's neck, and she lifted up around him - only to continue to slide all the way to the other side, and land on the floor with a thud.
A beat of silence, and then - laughter. Honest, frighteningly uncharacteristic laughter. She laid down on the ground for a second, and laughed.
I cannot believe I am such a clutz when I don't have full use of my legs.
