He looked back at her; Lights...? he asked himself. Aegean smirked at her, "Alright. Just after sun down?" he asked, beaming. He didn't want to get her in trouble. That was the problem with other ulayas these days, they couldn't seem to take the bad with the good and just pick themselves back up. Instead he thought it only tensed themselves up.

"A little later than that, not much, he will be well passed out by then." she called, giving a small smile before her trademark scowl came back. "And anything else you feel you might need. It gets very windy up there at night, even with a calm sea.."

As she turned to head back to the lighthouse, she shook her head as she argued with herself, before finally calling out. "And don't be late!"

Aegean smiled and nodded, "Sure thing," he called after her.

He had gone back to his den where Abby slept still muttering about a certain game of tag in her dreams. He tucked her in with her blanket and rubbed her forehead before leaving. "I'll be home late, Abbs," he whispered to her.

Aegean grabbed a bag he'd found while on one of his outings and filled it with a blanket and a few snacks. Not knowing how late or early he'd be regarding Ms. Zephy's swaying attitude.

The sun had long set over the horizon by the time he got back to the shore. He wasn't sure what he was expecting, considering she hadn't told him if he was to see a signal or something. Aegean sat down, he took a deep breath of the cool crisp sea air and waited.

She had headed back into the lighthouse. She let out a loud sigh, it echoing up the stairwell. As she made her way up she passed by Madam Miz'ri's room, peeking in she noticed that she still had not returned nor had her sister as she came past Saeraphina's room. It bothered her when she was the only one home. It rarely left her with anyone to talk to, as her father was not one for idle chat. She could hear him in his room, mumbling to himself and throwing around bottles. She could hear a second voice as well, a familiar one, her brother. Mother must have had something to say again and not wanted to come. As she hid she watched her brother leave, giving him a small nod as he descended down the stairwell and out of site. Her Father storming out of his room and giving her a spine tingling stare. “I'm leaving to see your Mother. Watch the lighthouse.” he said with almost a venomous tone, heading down the stairs. The last words she heard from him was that she was going to be an older sister.

Making it to the top her mind was flooded with may things. Looking out over the water, she lost track of time. The stars had already filled the sky and the midnight blues of the sky blended in with the now dark blue color of the ocean. As she turned the light on, it was all mechanical, taking her seat and closing her eyes. All she could hear was the sound of the ocean waves and then it hit. “s**t!” she screamed taking off into the house and down the stairs. “Stupid stupid.” she murred as she flung out the door making her way down the beach looking for that annoying male. “I can't believe I forgot!” she beat herself up a little before finally catching up to him sitting there in the sand. Slowing down she caught her breath, her face changing to a more cold and chilled tone. “So you came...

Aegean was lying there head over crossed paws, waiting. When the yellow female finally approached, he could've sworn the stars had already rotated a great deal in the sky. "I was beginning to wonder if the plans got cancelled and you stood me up." He smiled, he seemed to like how the young female became unnerved by certain things.

Aegean began to think the poor thing might need therapy from all the stress. He stretched as he stood up. Glancing down at her, "Is something wrong, Ms. Zephy?" He noticed she was breathing a bit hard.

She let out another hard breath, shaking her head with a small smile. "No no, nothing is wrong. In fact, you will be able to make some noise if you must." she said turning back towards the lighthouse. "Come along, I shouldn't be away for too long since no ones home." she clicked her paws together starting off in a march as her hair flicked from side to side.

"Luckily, father had to leave on some urgent business, so its not an issue...well...much of one that your here let alone going inside the light house. Seeing as aside mother, madam Miz'ri is the only outsider to step foot in there with or without Father's permission." This brought a smile to her face as she hummed a small tune, excited to have company for once.

Aegean noticed the change and smiled, "So the warden's gone, so the prisoner will play? Is that right?" he jeered; matching her in her gait.

The distance to the lighthouse seemed like nothing to him, Aegean was definitely one for no boundaries, he liked to press his limits without trying to ruffle others fur. He hated confrontation, but loved the adventure of life. Besides he didn't want to ruin Abby's fun, she was still young enough where she still had the stars in her eyes, but he didn't want her discouraged from everyday life. Of course he worried about her like a big brother, however, he didn't want to seem imposing.

He blinked and glanced up at the night sky. Just then a streak of light crossed the sky, "Whoa..."

Zephyranth scoffed a little at that remark, taking it in a snide manner. She turned her head to face him, keeping her pace as she dug her paws in the sand a little to make sure she didn't trip. "I am no prisoner thank you. I could leave whenever I want, but I don't because someone has to take care of Father and help him with the lighthouse or her would never sleep. But yes, he's gone for goddess knows how long, so I can ease a little...I guess..." she snorted turning back to look forward.

She couldn't help as they came up to the lighthouse, but look over at the waves crashing on the shore. The tide coming in, she smiled, dipping her paws in for the moment before turning to see Aegean looking up at the sky.
"It's distracting isn't it? It tends to steal the light of the stars..." she said pulling the large wooden door open. "Don't try anything funny.." stepping to the side to let him in.

Aegean then noticed the lighthouse's beam as it ran through the dark abyss over the ocean, but the light he saw was different. "Ms. Zephy, I wasn't talking about the beam coming from the lighthouse, it was white." He pointed back to the area in which he had originally spotted it.

He smirked, "My dear, Ms. Zephy, I have no idea what you're talking about," he flashed a bright smile. "Had I tried anything, I'm sure you'd enjoy it," he teased and stepped inside.

She gave him a odd look before trying to give a smile. She felt a little stupid at that moment having realized that he wasn't talking about the lighthouse light. Giving a small sigh, she shut the door. Looking around the small, dark and dusty foyer area." Up the stairwell is where we will head, all the way to the top." She said with a small grunt, pressing herself against the door to make sure it was closed tight. “And please, don't say Ms. You're making me feel old. You can just call me Zephy... and as if I would enjoy anything you could offer.” she scoffed, flicking her hair over her shoulder slinking up the staircase.

He grinned merrily at her dry spat. Aegean stepped aside to let her go first, "As you wish," he said quietly. The dust in the foyer was a bit thicker than he would expect. "Don't do much cleaning around here, eh?" He lifted a paw trying to shake off excess dust, he believed if his home wasn't cleaned to Abby's exact specifications or she'd beat him for ignoring the demands.

A dim glow illuminated from above, which he only assumed to be the lantern for the signal, but otherwise there wasn't much light nor much of anything else. He noticed that there were fine cracks that ran like lightning on the wall that stood out slightly against the shadows.

He thought to himself, Good thing Abbs ain't here, or she'd have the cleaning supplies out..., he laughed lightly at the thought thinking of his "little sister."
