Whenever Gehenna was late to meet her, Cimmerian fumed. Her fuming typically involved many smoked cigarettes flicked angrily and lots of swearing. Normally she would just kill time looking over some scripts, but tonight, they were actually trying to do Knightly things, which meant that she was sitting alone on a ******** park bench in full uniform. She hadn't brought work to the attempted-patrol. Last time she showed up with a purse full of s**t, Ghen had practically laughed her around the block. Now she came ready to patrol, and the asshat was late. Unacceptable.

As fate would have it -- or probably just because Kam was lazy -- the spot where the two Pages were supposed to meet was quite close to where Ghen was currently locked in battle with Nemesis. Cimmerian could feel the two auras, but she didn’t really know what to make of it. Weird s**t happened in Destiny City pretty regularly. It wasn’t until she thought she heard a grunt that sounded familiar that Meri decided to do anything about it.

Pulling her bow off of her back, Meri crossed down the sidewalk quickly, boots snapping in sharp beats against the concrete. She rounded the corner just in time to watch Ghen’s hand be rotted off and then returned back to its typical form. Shock held Meri, and for a time, she didn’t know what to do. Energy signatures were still something new to her. She knew enough to know that this total t**t who was wailing on Ghen was not only very strong, but very much so an ally.

It seemed like Ghen was about to lose whatever the ******** this was, and Meri wasn’t about to let that happen. Notching an arrow, the Page of Pluto took careful aim at the head of the strange sailor senshi. It sailed through the air, but missed its mark, smacking her hard in the center of the back instead. The arrow was blunt, but that would still leave a bruise. “Lay the ******** off him!” she shouted, running a few steps forward and notching another arrow.

Ghen's first reaction when the b***h finally let go was to look at his wrist. It was pretty disgusting, not to mention painful as all ********, but it was already healing by the time he got it up to eye-level. Tendons stitched themselves back together and muscles reformed in overdrive until his dark skin was right back where it was supposed to be. It was still sore, but that burning pain was gone.

"Who gives a s**t about your ******** lip," now that the safety of his wrist was confirmed, his anger swelled and he was giving her a look that clearly said 'I can't believe you ******** did that'. "What the ******** was that? You almost took my damn hand clean off!"

Apparently Nemesis didn't think a whole lot of Ghen's temper though, because almost as soon as he looked up she was charging him. The only thing he could do was brace himself against the blow and hope that she didn't have some stupid super strength too.

Then, from no where, he saw an arrow soar through the air and nail Nem in the back - knocking her slightly off path at the last second. When she finally plowed into his chest, he stumbled, but he managed to stay on his feet. He would have reached out to keep Nem from falling, but she would totally deserve to get a couple of scraped knees at this point (or at least a sore a**) and he wasn't feeling particularly giving tonight.

Instead he glanced up at Cimmerian when she yelled out, smirking at the sight of his partner with another arrow notched. Yeah, he was proud, even if that was probably about to piss Nem off more.

Nemesis felt a hard thump against her back, her heart skipping a beat in fear that it was actually something dangerous. But, she didn't feel the warmth of fresh blood, only a resounding ache in her back where the arrow had struck her. While it hadn't done any serious damage, it had still done enough to knock her off balance. The shock of a third party entering the fight was part of her loss of concentration as she tried to ram Gehenna. <********>. The senshi of Decay stumbled, just barely managing to catch herself down on one knee.

She had to react quick, Nemesis had to deal with two opponents before, and she knew that even if she were stronger, it was harder to keep her eye on both enemies. Looking over her shoulder, it dawned on her that ******** Gehenna was not supposed to be her enemy, and she doubted that this new chick (she assumed she was Kamboja's ******** buddy) was also her enemy. They weren't Negaversers. They were just really ******** annoying. Wiping her lip with the back of her hand, she righted herself onto her feet again. Her hands were closed into fists, because if either one of them dared to touch her again, she was going to defend herself viciously.

That or she'd wait another five minutes to be able to use her attack again, and then she'd wring Gehenna's neck for all this s**t she was being forced to go through. "I take it that's your girl friend?" Nemesis wasn't impressed. She may have been more impressed if the woman's weapon was actually a weapon that did something other than bruise an opponent's skin. "Don't," and she was glowering at Cimmerian first, then Gehenna, "******** come close to me, or I will decay your necks off. And I haven't tried dismembering someone before, so I have no ******** clue if you're going to patch up afterward."

Nemesis had enough of this s**t. It was embarrassing, disgraceful even to have done so poorly in a fight against Gehenna, and she may have actually been in trouble if they WERE enemies. "Is she another knight thing? I want to go back to the good ol' days, where it was just Senshi and Negaverse. Senshi are the only ones who are supposed to be running around in skirts."

When Gehenna popped up and smirked at her, Cimmerian felt a touch of relief... and then even more confusion. He had gone from having his hand rotted off to looking like he was about to invite her to join him for a beer with the crazy girl. Her second arrow was poised at the ready. One wrong move, and she would fire -- hopefully with the same quasi-accuracy. The threats that Nemesis spewed didn't do much to help.

Instead, Meri focused on the one she knew was a friend. "Ghen, you've got a funny way of ******** socializing with friends, you know that?" God, she needed a cigarette. Gehenna didn't seem threatened or afraid, but Cimmerian still had no idea what was going on and she really didn't like that feeling.

The way that Nemesis and Gehenna regarded each other seemed to suggest that the fight was over. Slowly, Meri eased her bow back down, but she kept the arrow notched. "Look, smookiewookins," she cooed at Ghen, "you didn't introduce me to your new friend. That's not being a good boyfriend. Boyfriend~" This was how girlfriends sounded, right? It had been a long a** time since she had been anyone's girlfriend, but it was hilarious to her that this ornery girl jumped to that conclusion.

Ghen grimaced at the awful string of pet names that fell out of Meri's mouth - they were possibly the most grotesque things he had ever heard his partner say. That was saying a lot, too, because she had a real sailor's mouth during prolonged absences from nicotine.

"This is Eternal Sailor Nemesis," he glanced down at her with a questioning look as he said it, not entirely sure he'd gotten that right - she had been bitching at him when she'd introduced herself as the senshi, after all. Then he pointed with one hand at his partner, where she was still standing a good distance from the two of them. "That is Cimmerian, Page of Pluto."

He crossed his arms over his chest then and stared down at the threatening Nemesis with a defiant look. "And I don't date, but if I did, I guess Meri is the closest thing to a steady relationship I've had since.. I don't know, ******** high school probably." Which was the truth - he almost always showed up for their plans, he spent more time with her than he did anyone else, and they were definitely part of a duo. Still, they weren't really a couple and he knew that Nemesis had said it without the best intentions.

"I think you're just going to have to move over and make room for us, because something decided we needed to be here." He didn't know what, or why, just that he had a new awesome power and some kind of odd obligation to a city he had been MIA from for years. He stepped away from Nemesis, probably to her relief, and made his way over to stand next to Cimmerian.

"You should just come with us on patrol tonight so we can learn more about this magical fairy princess crap you've got going on and we'll tell you about Knights in exchange." He glanced sideways at Meri, then back at Nemesis. He was sure they could all get along for a little while, as long as Nem stopped bringing up stupid s**t. "Deal?"

If he had gotten her name wrong, it would have given her an excuse to get pissy all over again. Instead, she grudgingly inclined her head towards Cimmerian. Fine, she could play nice with Gehenna's girlfriend. It wasn't like Cimmerian was totally useless - she had managed to hit Nemesis with an arrow. Hell, the woman was teasing Gehenna, which was always a plus in Nemesis' book. The b*****d deserved it after blindsiding her with a punch to the face. With her anger beginning to dissipate, she waved her fingers prettily at the Page of Pluto. "Cool. As long as we're on the same side and stay on the same side, I'm not going to decay her face off." It was as close to a promise as Nemesis was willing to give.

"Huh, you guys showing up must mean that we're losing." The thought didn't sit well with her. Nemesis had experienced losses, and she knew that the senshi were fighting an uphill battle. The Senshi of Decay was of the opinion that there should just be one giant battle royale to determine which side was victor, but a part of her was scared that the senshi side would lose. How many eternal senshi were there? Not very many. The Negaverse had an ample amount of strong soldiers and leaders. It was a struggle, and she supposed every new force that came into play helped somewhat.

For a few seconds she stared Gehenna down. No apology for starting a fight with her? Who the hell did he think he was, God? Rolling her eyes, she seemed to stew over the offer for a few seconds longer. There was no reason not to, and she was curious about this new group of magical people. In the end, Gehenna wasn't so bad, and Cimmerian was a little better than him. "Fine, I'll come along. You totally better be buying me some booze when we're done." Nemesis walked over to the pair, determined not to get angry, because she didn't want to have to deal with the both of them. It was a truce...

And possibly the start of a good friendship and partnership?

But, it wasn't too likely.
