Emi smiled."good because if I got hurt Im sure you'd be sad, just like I would if you got hurt." Emi stated this wih a sweetness to her voice, before walking over to the source of the sound only to find a lizard crawling through the grass."oh man it was just a lizard....."

Toni studied Emi. Was she saying that as a friend or was she trying to hint at something more? Only one way to find out. "And what if that mean ol' lizard managed to hurt me? What would you have done?"

Emi grinned evilly"I woulda kicked its a** til it was all squishuy in the dirt!!" she yelled with a large grin on her face."No bodies gonna hurt Toni while Im around, even if I gotta go find some one bigger to help me.....!" she nodded as she tried to look cool.
"what would you do if It had hurt me?"

Toni grinned. "What? No kiss to make the hurt better either? Meanie." Toni looked at the lizard. "I'd have hurt it twice as much for any damage it did to you." He looked sideways at Emi. "But I wouldn't need to get someone to help." Chuckling he put his paw on Emi's nose.

Emi giggled."you want me to kiss it and make it better, thats the job of a mommy or a girlfriend...do you consider me your girlfriend toni?" deep down the voices in Emis head were screaming.'say yes say yes' but she made sure they stayed where they were, in her head.
she moved her head close to his, and whispered with a smile on her face."well do you?"
She actually had nothing planned, this time, like every other time, she was playing this situation by ear. foreward planning was volts thing.

Toni didn't hesitate. "Only if you want to be." There, out in the open. If she was joking about being his girlfriend then she could just say no right then and there. Toni wouldn't mind....some. If she said yes, all the better.

Was he for real? Emi wondered this question before a sly grin came to her mouth, and she turned and began to walk away."I dunno Toni, Youd have to prove to me that you actually want me before I jump at that offer." she snickered before running off, a wide smile on her mouth.

Toni laughed. "Playing hard to get hm Emi?" Toni took off after her. At least she hadn't said no. And if she said he had to prove to her before she jumped at the chance, which meant there was some reciprocated feelings. With that thought in mind Toni picked up pace and pounced at Emi.

Emi felt Toni pounce on her and instantly lost her footing."You know just a few words would have worked too..." she looked back at the male laying on hber back. her face was now beat red. he went after her so there was definitely some feeling that were returned."Toni....I....uhm.....I..." she cursed the world, the words really were hard to say.

Toni grinned. "I thought it would be more romantic to chase after you." He moved and laid beside Emi. "Besides, its kind of hard to talk to you when you're running away from me." He nuzzled Emi. "What is it? And here I thought I was the one who had to do some talking?"

Emi felt nervous about her words. "I wanna be with you Toni." her nervousness came fro the fact that Toni was her best friend since she got here. If they had a relation or not now, their friendship would be in jepordy. If it passed, they would possibly see eachother less and less as friends, and if they broke up their friendship would be vulnerable. if he said no now though her feelings would be out in the open, and they may never be able to see eachother the same again.
Her next wods were close to a whisper.
"I...I love you toni...from the bottom of my heart."

Toni's smile widen. "Should I have you chase after me now?" He leaned in close to Emi. "I think I'll say instead that you took my saying. Perhaps I shall say my heart is bottomless so my love for you shall have no bounds."

Emi grinned and stared at him."well thats touching, but can ya get off me now my backs starting to hurt."she laughed. So toni felt the same way that she did. she was glad. Hopefully this would work well.
Her stomache began groweling "Yeah my backs starting to hurt and Im getting hungry."

Toni rolled off of Emi and stood up. "And what would the lady like to eat?" Toni was glad that Emi felt the same way he did. Now there would be no awkwardness. Although, with the sentence Emi had said before she had ran off, Toni would have continued chasing her even if her feelings weren't the same as his.

Emi shrugged."meat... smething easy to catch thats not a fish. Maybe a rabbit or a Duck...duck actually sounds good right now." Emi didnt know exactly where they were though, she figured it was a forested area, so her request shouldnt be too bad right?
Emi walked past him lightly kissing him on the cheek."come on before someone else finds all the good food.
