The reaction wasn't expected, not totally at least. "Of course. But remember it is important to be familiar with all types. Even if you don't like them." He wouldn't press the issue. The kid was way too jumpy. So he supposed it was no surprise, with his aversion to pokemon, he had never tried raising one. But he had no idea of the lad's thoughts on pokemon, and needing pokemon to protect one from other pokemon. Because there was more to it then that. So much more.

"Why not? Can't live on the grease soaked mystery meat they serve in the cafeteria. Making something for yourself is a good change." Not that Mau had actually eaten anything from the cafeteria since he came here. He took one look at it, and having the kitchen staff say they didn't know what the meat was, and he was done. He would have none of it. With the dishes cleaned, he smiled. "Well done." Always faster with two sets of hands working.

"Pichu?" He couldn't believe that there were humans mean to pokemon. Sure his trainer was hard on the really noisy chime pokemon, but it was never mean "Chuu. Pichu chu pi." Some day. Some day for sure Lindsay and her person would be close! They would be inseparable! Que was sure of this. The jolteon offering the food to her human was encouraging. They got along so well!

As the boy took his leave, Mau picked up Que and plopped the rodent on his shoulder. He waved to the boy. They were an interesting pair. He wondered how they would do in Team rocket. Only time would tell.

"Come on Que. Time to head out."

"Pichu!"
