Solice rubbed his cheek for a moment. It had been a long time since anyone show any affection towards him, even if it was just something small like that. He stood, turning to continue their walk, but she had disappeared. That's odd, he thought to himself, though he could hear some footsteps, and the faint sound of something else. He shook his head. "She must have forgotten something she had to do. I will see her tomorrow." he said softly to himself, turning back to the fish. The fish, moving under the water like they had been, occasionally went to the surface. He smiled, then turned to head down the path that led for the Arena. "I guess I could get some sparring in, if anyone is around." he told himself.

Solice stepped out into the night air, the moon hitting the ground and softly lighting the minature courtyard. He looked back as Amaya exited the Lounge behind him.

Amaya pulled the cloak tighter around her as she stepped forth from the pagoda's main building onto the gravel path. Her breath clouded the air as she followed Solice into the night once more.

(^_^;; I noticed. Tis Ok. ^_~ )

Waiting until she approached, he started walking slowly next to her down the small path through what looked like the garden. "So, how have things been? I know I missed that lesson you wanted to give."

She chuckled. "And you did have due reason to... as for myself, I got pushed into a fence, trod upon, bucked off and dragged backwards through a bush today... which, of course, cannot compare to whatever you obviously do in your sparetime... How did you end up on the roof, anyway?"

"I climbed." he said matter of factly. "I had a rather gruesome spar with someone in the Arena..after you left. He was rather persistant. You should have seen what he looks like." he said solemnly, and looked up towards the sky. Several stars were shining brightly, and you could just make out Oriion's belt over the cherry blossom trees. He looked back down. "Well, hopefully the springs will help both of us relax a little." he said, a smirk parting his lips slightly.

Amaya stopped dead in her tracks and stared at Solice, wide eyed.
"And what malady of the brain, pray tell, posessed you to come all the way from the arena to the stables in the state you were in?"

He turned, trying to remain calm at her reaction. "It was either that, or fight off his friend, who was eager to harm me. She is training to become a geisha here as we speak, although she has had some experience in fighting as well. In the end, I managed to distract her while she dealt with her friends wounds. I hobbled to the stables because I knew that she would not look for me there, and that if anyone was to find me besides my brothers, it would be someone I trust with my life." he said, his eyes staying locked on hers, a warm smile on his face.

"You..." she blushed fiercely, her fair skin doing nothing to hide it. "How... I mean... why...", she stuttered, completely at a loss for words.
Her thoughts were doing sommersaults in her mind and her traitorous knees started to shiver under the look he gave her.
Pipe down, pipe down, he must be joking... She shook her head, still not knowing what to say.

Noticing her fluster, he found it better to continue walking. "Come on, the water should be nice right about now." he said, beginning to walk past the pond where he had last seen her before his trip to the Arena.

"Right...!" She followed suit, gazing at the pond as she passed it by. That helped her regain her composure better than a bucket of icewater could have, since it reminded her exactly why she had run off that time...
Yeah, right... don't you ever forget your place again... You are what you are, and that cannot be helped.
She muffled a sigh deep in her throat and picked up her pace.

Watching her facial expressions as they moved closer towards the Hot Springs, Solice smiled some. He walked closer to her, putting an arm around her shoulder. "You must learn to hide your emotions better Amaya. You make it harder for me to tease you when I know what I'm saying is getting to you." he said, his hand stroking the nape of her neck some.

Baldur's brows, what is he... Amaya nearly shied away as he moved closer, but soon could not help but mold into his touch.
Could it be I have read him wrong all this time?
She sighed as he stroked the cramped muscles of her neck.
"Sometimes I feel like I have fallen right down from the moon in front of you people... I have never learned to hide my feelings, and I do not know how I ever could... so you will keep having an unfair advantage over me." She smiled and put her arm comfortably around his waist, looking up into his face.
