Evoe jerked her head to the side when she heard the sound of movement, blinking as she saw emptiness. Had he left? She hoped not, she didn't want to lose her new friend already! Friend, wait, he wasn't her friend yet! Was it childish to call someone she had just met her friend? Then again, Evoe didn't have many friends to call her own. Wait, not even one.
This thought had always hurt her inside, knowing her parents had restricted her that much, knowing she had failed at finding even one simple friend. She felt alone, but, she was alone.
But here Apollo was, and, Evoe could befriend him! Only if she found the boy. He had seemed to agree to the game, even though he had never really said the word "yes" out-loud. A smile tweaked onto her lips as she darted ahead to find the male.
"Apollllooooo~"

Apollo sniggered silently; yes, even the happy-go-lucky and energetic male knew how to silently stalk his victims! Having two brothers and three sisters had helped with that as well, and it didn't hurt that the majority of his coat of green. Even the other colors blended easily enough with shadows and the natural colors of the semi-tropical forest, as long he was careful.
There, the perfect moment! Apollo crouched, wiggled his hips to get his back legs firmly into position, and made a flying leap....!
((I figured you could roll a die or do a RNG. Evens, Apollo lands a flying tackle. Odds, you get to choose if he lands it or if Evoe pulls a fast one on him. Sound cool?))

(( Sounds good~ ))
When she heard the sound of movement she ducked and rolled to the side, wrapping her tail around the males leg and pulling him downwards, giggling. "Well, hey there cutie~" She purred, rolling away and back to him, sitting on his chest, a paw on his neck lightly. She grinned at him, tail wagging softly. "So, now what?" She questioned, tail lazily wrapping around his leg to keep him from fleeing.
"Daddy used to say we had long tails to keep our men chained to us." She laughed, shaking her head. "Never thought the theory could be true." She hummed slightly, tail flicking as she waited for the males response. Would he be angry? Or laid back and chill?
She hoped chill~

Apollo's answering grin was quite good-natured. He didn't seem at all embarassed to have his flying pounce turned so effectively against him. "And males have fluffy tails to hide kits in, and to make snuggly pillows," he said, chuckling.
He briefly pondered getting up, but a mischievous thought breached his mind and his grin turned into one that promised trouble. "So since you used your tail to bring me down, and since we're in this very interesting position, does that make me your man," he asked, waggling his eyebrows like a villian in a movie right before he swoops down and makes an attempt to steal the lovely maiden.

Evoe chuckled at the male when he mentioned his tail, burrowing her face into it and sneezing promptly when she pulled her head out. "Can't see how a kit breathes in there!" She giggled at the male, blinking when his eyebrows waggled and he let out a low, flirty comment. Quickly, the dark vixen cooed at him, nipping his cheek lightly and squirming away.
"Only if you can keep me entertained, babe~" She mewled back, hopping onto a stone and grinning down at him, tail curling around her body securely. Oh, he was a slick one! And a cutie. Well, he could try to make her his, if he was patient enough.

Apollo laughed, and pushed himself back to his feet with a speed that was surprising for the relaxed pose he'd been in previously. "Keep you entertained, huh? And what exactly does a rockin' babe like yourself like to do for fun, if I might ask," he said, winking at Evoe.
In the back of his mind he wondered how wise it was to be getting involved like this with someone outside the clan. Certainly his parents had gone through a rough time! But that voice was easily shoved aside. For better or worse, once Apollo got going there was no stopping him.

A rockin' babe such as herself? If she didn't know better she would have thought he was from the ocean! The last ocean fox she met talked similar to him. She flashed a toothy smile at him, tail wagging slightly, though not enough to encourage any thought he might have that he was pleasing her. The vixen titled her head to the side, thinking over what he had said before nodding. She knew the one thing she liked!
"Anything that makes my heart beat faster and make my body feel like it's going to run! I love adrenaline rushes." She knew exactly what she was, an adrenaline junkie. So what? Nothing wrong with that!
"How about mister smooth over here?" She chirped, winking at the male.

"I'm a runner, babe! It's all about the agility and to mo~tion!"
With a whoop Apollo charged forward, past Evoe, and right at a tree. Rather than veer, or leap and jump, he ran up the tree. Of course momentum couldn't last long, but right before it did he launched himself into the air, towards the tree's neighbor, and in a move that was either extreme skill or extreme luck managed to snag a low-hanging branch in his teeth.
He didn't hang for long, just long enough for the branch to capture his momentum and for him to create new energy. He almost seemed to flick his body towards the tree trunk, where all four paws hit the bark and he launched himself back towards the ground close. Rather than hit he rolled, one full rotation, and sprang back to his feet. He charged, then actually jumped over, Evoe, heading for a new tree to bounce off of.
A couple more bounds off the greenery and Apollo finally skidded to a halt. The male had made all of it seem so effortless and was grinning widely, though the panting he was doing showed that maybe it wasn't all as easy as it seemed. This was Apollo's element, combining strength and speed into something that looked just so dang fly!
((Apollo's vocab makes me sob a bit...))

She laughed as he bolted forward, something most vixens wouldn't do. Most would stare in awe. Not Evoe. She appreciated what he was doing, to the point that it was funny she had never tried that before. Maybe he could teach her? Evoe rolled her eyes, batting him in the face with her tail, grinning cheekily in seconds. "Alrighty hare, ever tried to scale the side of a mountain before?" She questioned, wondering if she could ever take him hiking one day. He seemed to have the energy.
Oh, that's right, he had a tribe.
She pouted slightly, ears flopping down. What was a tribe like really? Were they reaaaalllly restricting? Did they make it so you couldn't go anywhere? How dull! How could a fast, healthy male such as himself enjoy tribe-life?

Apollo grinned in appreciation of Evoe's appreciation. When she mentioned mountains though he shook his head. "Never really been much farther than the edge of the forest," he said. "That's where our den was, since Mom wasn't part of the tribe when we were little. Then I joined up with the tribe, and it's kinda one of those rules that you stick to tribe territory."
Apollo sat and tilted his head, looking at Evoe. He easily recognized the kind of horror that was on her face. "It's not as bad as it sounds. I mean there's a lot of territory to wander, and work and stuff that needs to be done that helps fill up the time."
He gave her one of his easy grins. "And most of the work can be quite interesting."

Evoe listened carefully, head tilting. So, tribe-life wasn't boring? She wanted to protest, saying how could he enjoy himself when he was planted firmly down in one place, but for once tried to think through his eyes. Yes, he had a set home, but was that so bad? Evoe knew that even though she didn't like her parents, she liked having a place to go to whenever she fell or hurt herself. Now, sometimes she didn't have anywhere to go when the rain hit, or when a storm rang through.
"What is fun to do?" She asked, curious at this point. Why did he stick around? He seemed like a free-spirit, so, what gave? She should kidnap him for some time, show him the world! Though, maybe she was the one that needed to be showed his world? She wouldn't mind experiencing tribe-life. Or hearing stories about it!

Apollo actually sat and thought for a moment. Shocking, yet, but he had enough of his father in him to be able to take a question seriously. And this seemed like a very serious question, perhaps even a pivotal one, though Apollo couldn't yet see just how it would affect his life.
"Well," he said, after the pause, "there's climbing the trees. Which you already got a taste of. There's all sorts of difficulties, from ones that are hard to get up and ones hard to get down. And ones easy to walk across and some that require you to be part squirrel." Here he grinned a bit, thinking of his father.
"There's also places where the leaves are so big and thick that you can jump from trees or cliffs and use the leaves to slow your fall to the ground. There's cliffs above really awesome lakes and streams and waterfalls, that are good for jumping off of and then going for a swim. And you should see the night-luminescing plants! It seems tame to just sit and watch greenery, but something about it just fills you with life!"
It hardly seemed an adequete description of his home, but if Evoe stuck around then maybe she'd find out all of this stuff for herself. Apollo had certainly had that option, and chose to live his life with the clan rather than run off like all his siblings had.

Hmm, he really seemed to love his tribe. Though she couldn't get over the fact of being restricted. She eyed the male, noticing he liked to think before answering. Well, he had a surfer way of speaking, but he was pretty clever. She laughed, shaking her head slightly and running a paw through her hair. He was such a weird guy!
"Well, what are the people in it like?" She asked, tilting her head. She settled down beside him, yawning. Well, she was bored, she wanted to do something heart pumping! But, she also wanted to know about his tribe. She was curious at what could keep a male such as him chained down. Chained. Maybe it wasn't as bad as chained, maybe he truly liked it there and she wasn't one to judge. Hell! She may like it if she joined a tribe!

That next question had Apollo thinking even more than the first one. It wasn't that tribe members weren't social or friendly, it was just they had all been a little scattered recently. Dad had told him it was like that when he first joined up, part of the reason he'd been able to wander and meet Aegle. Huh, that was also probably why Apollo was able to wander like this too, though he didn't stray quite so far out of tribe territory. Actually, he never left tribe territory.
"Well I don't know everyone, at least not very well," he started. "There's my dad. Kinda laid back on the surface, but pretty serious underneath. Mom, I think, is joining up too. Our Elder is a great guy. He's one of those calm, wise types. Sometimes he can seem a bit strict in his rules, but he's got all our best interests at heart."
Now Apollo chuckled. "There's Riku, who's been sulking a bit after his daughter came to visit. Dad told me that Riku's girl found a man of her own, and he wasn't too pleased. Guess he's the overprotective-father type. Neytiri. She's....intense. Like until you get to know her she can make you feel a bit like an idiot. She's actually pretty patient and a good teacher, but her lessons hurt!" Apollo chuckled again.
"Aaaah. Jiriki, Yin, and Yang. They're all Phims. Jiriki is actually Yin and Yang's dad, I think their mom hangs around too. I don't know Noel and Jake all that well, to be honest. Oh, and our shaman, Cornelia, is mated to our Elder. She's pretty nice, one of those quiet, wise-woman types."
Apollo stopped and looked at Evoe, grinning. "Have I lost you yet?"

"Wow!" Evoe would never have guessed that a tribe could have so many members! Didn't the Elder ever feel over-whelmed? "That's a lot of people!" She blinked suddenly, shaking her head and laughing. Look at her! She sounded like some country fox, not knowing anything about tribes! "This Neytiri person, she seems like the only one not bound to anyone. Everyone else has a person inside the tribe. Well, does Riku? Either way, how did they join? How come their family aren't in the tribe? Doesn't that like, suck or something?"
Oh yes, her vocabulary wasn't always the best either. But she was genuinely curious. This Riku guy had a kid? Why would he join a tribe all alone? That had to suck! He couldn't see his family a lot! Unless he didn't like his family. Heck, she hadn't liked her family much, either. She'd love to have joined a tribe just to spite them if she had known about them before they died.
