Well, something was going right in this upside-down world. Sharra felt a bit of the weight lift from his shoulders when Aksaja smiled, just knowing...that they still possessed the capability to muster that expression, was something of a comfort. The nergal mirrored that smile, though perhaps the blond's was smaller, but there was at least a fragment of genuine emotion therein. "I do too..." And as much as he wanted to add a dash of realism to the words, it would seem out of place now, after the moment that they'd shared.
"Think about it. We're survivors. That makes us tough, eh?" A soft jest as he then leaned towards Aksaja, giving his friend a wink. The dragon had been one to play along with him a time or two, and right now, they needed the casual camaraderie, grasping for strands of normality after existing in the belly of a nightmare for so long. Curling fingers into his palm, he extended his hand, offering to the other boil the most brotherly of fists.

Aksaja blinked at that, and then curled his own fingers into a fist as well and bumped his hand against Sharra's. "Yea . . . we're survivors. And we can survive more than that. I get the feeling we'll have to learn to anyway at some point," the dragon murmured, the smile reaching into his eyes just a little more.
If they did run into more fog . . . well. He made a vow, if only to himself, that it would not get the best of him another time. Not if he could help it. Because he was no good to anyone that way. Couldn't protect anyone or save himself if he was caught in its grip.
