Ichi carefully listened to Ikumon’s words, prepared to face the consequences for his reckless of engaging a fight in the temple which is supposed to be a peaceful place. But instead of scolding, the Kage greeted both Koushaku and Ichi with a praise seemingly proud of the two chuunins accomplishments. Ichi wasn’t proud of what he did, but he did somehow needed to thank Ikumen’s kind words. Thank you Ikumen-san Ichi stood up and bowed his head emanating a small smile in his face. Hearing Ikumen asking their presence in his office, Ichi bowed for apology to the monks and headed outside the temple’s gates back to the dark forest and exiting to the Mizukage’s office.

Leaving the restaurant, Ichi walked towards the direction of the temple, he once again reached the thick woods covered in mist and darkness. Sigh.. how troublesome this place is… I hope I still remember the path towards the temple.. the boy thought to himself as he jumped up on top of a tree’s branch and began hopping from tree to tree.
After several moments, Ichi finally sighted the large gate of the temple though it was still distant making him travel a little bit more. As ichi reached the gates, he rang the bell that on the gate to aware the monks that someone is outside. The boy patiently waited outside for the monks to open the gate to let him in.
As usual, the monks took time to open the gates as they never rushed and tends to walk calmly. Crackles from the old thick wooden door were heard as the monks started to take off the locks on the door and begin opening it. When the gate opened, Ichi was greeted by two monks who still recognized him from his last visit.
Ichi was ashamed for what happened during the last time he visited though the monks seemed to have no grudge against the boy and even smiled at him asking him the young jounin to come in. Ichi responded and nodded his head as he walked towards the main temple to formally apologize to the head monk.
Upon arriving on the main temple, Ichi approached the head monk and kneeled in front of him asking for forgiveness about the damages the boy caused but in response, the monk smiled at the boy and asked him to stand up, telling the boy that he heard about the promotion and congratulated Ichi. The boy smiled and nodded confirming that he was really promoted into a jounin.
You have indeed improved your abilities since your last visit here. I admire your motivation to train and work ethic but I just want to ask you, why do you wish to become stronger? What will you do with all these strength? the monk asked Ichi. The boy looked down, surprised by the monk’s question though he knew just what to answer.
Clenching his fist Ichi looked up to the monk and replied Since my last mission, I was nothing but a burden to my teammates… I watched them get hurt as they tried to protect me several times. I can’t bare seeing my friends hurt.. that’s why I want to train myself, to become stronger to be able to protect the ones that I care about. Ichi said unwaveringly.
Seeing both determination and honesty on the boy’s eyes, the head monk smiled yet again and told him that his intentions are noble, the monk saw Ichi worthy to learn the secret techniques that the temple holds. He walked outside towards a spacious area outside the temple abundant with water. There the old monk performed incredibly fast hand seals in front of Ichiro asking the boy to pay close attention.
As the man finished the hand seals giant water pillars rose from the ground up into the air forming a giant dragon that covered the sky. The boy’s face was in awe as the giant water dragon roared into the sky. The monk asked Ichi about what he thinks about the technique seems to be exhausted catching his breath after executing the technique.
The monk explained the technique it a bit further to the boy after gently releasing the water back into the ground, before making another set of hand seals that summoned a pair of special water clones that resembled the statues inside the temple. The monk gave full details about the technique to the boy and asked him to train it during his stay on the temple until Ichi could finally harness the technique’s abilities.
