Era & Riley & Celus

Era sighed in frustration at their inability to do anything to stop the chaos. The cries and shouts that were coming from the battle causing her to wince unhappily, they were dying out there, and all the Pokemon from the Guilds could do was stand there and watch. She swallowed feeling a lump in her throat, this was beyond anything that she'd ever seen before. The Pikachu briefly looked to the sun shining high up in the sky to take some comfort from it. She forced herself to block out the noise of the battle and just breathe for a moment, taking comfort from the determined words of their companion Team. It was true, they had to do something, they couldn't just stand there and let this fighting go on, but the hopelessness of the situation was overbearing. Era shook her head; no, she was the Leader of her Team and and co-leader of this expedition. She had to be the one who kept everyone going, and she couldn't very well do that if she was dwelling on how hard things seemed at the present time.

"We can figure something out," she said, speaking up at last, "We have to find a way to stop it all at the roots. These groups all have leaders, right? So if we can track down all three of them and bring the Leaders together, maybe we can talk through a peace agreement?" She frowned, "It will be hard, we have no idea where any of these groups make their bases, and I highly doubt they'll be willing to just stop fighting, but I think that's our best bet here. There are three of them; the Blues, the Reds, and the Greens, so all we have to do-" The Pikachu was suddenly cut off as she found herself pushed to the side, into an adjacent patch of grass, Riley and Roxana beside her. She landed roughly, wincing as she hit the ground and look up to see who had hit her. Celus' eyes were on her and they shared a meaningful glance, clearly he had pushed them away for some reason. She put a paw over Riley's mouth, as the Eevee was about to protest, and gestured for him and Roxana to keep low to the ground and watch.

Almost on cue, a Turtwig came up on the trio still remaining there, his eyes somber. "Good day," he said, rather guardedly to Celus, "Haven't seen a you around here before mate."

"I'm afraid I'm not from around here," Celus replied smoothly, "My companions and I came from elsewhere, and just happened to come across this place. We thought we could rest here for a while." The Ivysaur was the picture of calm, making up the story as he went, hopefully Nadia and Luke would go along with it if this was going to work.

"Ah, is that so my good chap?" the Turtwig replied with an appeased smile, "Well then, you're welcome amongst the Greens. Our Leader will most likely want to meet you, spendid chap he is. You'll want to stay away from any Reds or Blues though, them being the Fire and Water Types; nasty business they are. You nearly walked into a fight you know, lucky I found you when I did. Come along then, step lively." He began to lead Celus, Nadia, and Luke onward, and the Ivysaur took one last quick glance at the grass he'd shoved the others into. This part was going well, and hopefully Era would catch on to what else they could do now. The only thing he couldn't be certain of was whether they'd be able to contact one another again, but there was no turning back now, what was done was done.

Watching their receding figures, Era released a breath that she'd scarcely realized she'd been holding. Celus was brilliant, he'd saved Roxana from getting attacked. Turning to the other two quickly she took the initiative to come up with some ideas. "Celus just spared us a fight," she clarified, just in case one of the others was getting the wrong idea. "But now we have to make a decision quickly. We have some options, we could follow the others and stay hidden while they're learning about the Greens, as one, but we do have another possibility." Era looked at Roxana, "Celus isn't with us anymore, so we could go and confront the Reds, just like he did with that Turtwig. It's up to you." Either way, just as before, the seconds still were ever slipping away, and time was short for them to choose.

Everybody in Team Darkstar listened to the Pikachu's idea. It sounded like a plan yet it was quite risky. What if the leader's won't listen to them? How are they going to confront to the Water-type's leader when the teams have met them in combat before? And what if they would fight each other when the teams are trying to point out how unmeaningful this war is? The thought crossed the Poochyena's mind. She waited for Era to finish her idea before questioning one of the thoughts that just came to her mind. Though it never came.

Roxana was startled as she was shoved. She let out an 'Oomph' as she fell to the side. She landed on the soft grass, though it wasn't very helpful on breaking her fall. She could feel Riley's tail brushing her nose. She avoided a sneeze and instead she glanced beside her; Riley and Era was also pushed aside. As the bushy tail was removed from her, she scrambled to her paws. The rainbow-colored Eevee soon found out who pushed them was Celus. She saw a glimpse of the Eevee's mouth opened but then before he could protest on anything, Era already silenced him. Her signal was also directed to herself. She nodded slightly and watched the scene from behind the grasses. Her view was a bit blocked by the large grass swaying with the wind in front of her, though she can't do anything about it without getting noticed.

Nadia's ears twitched as her teammate was pushed away. Her attention turned to the Ivysaur who did it. She glared at him lightly, then her ears picked up rustling noises. The same rustling when they pursued through the grasses. An unfamiliar scent filled the air as it grew stronger and the sound getting louder. Soon it was revealed that all those things came from a little Turtwig with a hint of British accent in his sentences. She heard the Ivysaur made up such a story that was very untrue. She looked up to the Lucario beside her, his face showed that he was following what Celus was trying to do all this time. With all the tall grasses all around them, the Turtwig can't see where Roxana is which means they won't be facing a battle this time. The Turtwig sounded so nice depending on what they heard lately. She hoped that it would stay like that for a while. As the trio other than the one that are hiding in the grass followed the Turtwig, she looked back at where they once stood. Leaving Roxana all by herself concerned her a bit as the leader of their team. She tried convincing herself that she would be safe with Era and Riley, at least she hoped she would be safe.

When the Turtwing along the others was out of sight, Roxana stepped out of the grass, shaking her body to get the grasses off her white-gray fur. Her tensed muscles were relaxing. She was tensing her muscles all this time without even noticing it. She sighed, relieved before turning to Era. "W-Well. I guess it wouldn't h-hurt to try and go to the Reds.." She said, half thinking. "O-Okay then, I'm in." She said, her eyes was filled with determination. She knew she had to be brave at some point. But then her mind was struck with something. How are they going to find the Reds other than the ones dying in the battle field?

Meanwhile, while walking along with the Turtwig, "Excuse me, though, I have been thinking, may I know your name?" Luke asked him politely. The Turtwig stopped and turned his large head to the taller Lucario. His smile didn't disappear. "Why the name's Bacca, mate! Don't forget it now."

Era & Riley & Celus

Celus followed the lead of the Turtwig, who had introduced himself as Bacca. He remained mute for the most part as they walked, unable to explain things to Nadia and Luke, and unwilling to strike up a conversation with the talkative Turtwig. "It's a pity you fellows had to show up now of all times," the friendly Grass Type remarked, "Starter Villa's in a spot of trouble you see. Lately the Reds and Blues have been stirring up trouble. We Greens prefer to avoid their lot, they fight each other and we keep watch from the sidelines. It's best to make your move when it's most efficient in the boss' mind. I was on surveillance duty before I found you all, but there's no problem there. I got everything that I needed." Bacca smiled and Celus offered a nod back. He talked as though the Greens didn't get involved in the fighting, but the Ivysaur seriously doubted that. Naturally they wouldn't let an outsider like himself in on something like that if they wanted to seem like the best side.

Celus briefly took note of their surroundings again, memorizing the path back to where they'd been as they went; they would need to know that to find the others again. He also had the feeling that they weren't being followed by the others, meaning Era had taken advantage of the situation. That brought a slight smile to his face, she was more clever than she appeared, his Team Leader. "Ah, Bacca?" Celus said to the Turtwig, causing him to turn back and look at the Ivysaur. "Where exactly are we headed if I may ask?"

"It's no trouble at all mate," Bacca replied, "We're headed to the Green base, home to all the proud Greens in the Villa. We all had to claim our own area when the fighting began, rule of thumb when it comes to war you know. Anyhow, it's our current home since the fighting zones are almost everywhere. You're welcome to stay as long as you'd like. It's quite safe, bases are out of bounds." He said all of this so cheerfully that it almost sickened Celus. Was this just a game to all of them? Did they think that everything would go back to normal when the day was over? He frowned in disapproval; he'd have to meet this "boss" of theirs and see what the higher-up's opinion was. This clearly wouldn't be easy.

----------

Era nodded with satisfaction as Roxana agreed to go with herself and Riley to see the Reds; now they could kill two birds with one stone, figuratively of course, even the proverb made her unhappy to think about in these conditions though. Riley got to his paws, having been sitting with a thoughtful expression in his eye. "We'll need to get to the Reds first though, no?" the Eevee said, "We can't exactly barge in on the battle over there, and I sincerely doubt we'd be lucky enough to have a Red waltz over here too like that Green did."

Era looked at him, catching a glimpse of the gleam in his eye and laughing lightly. She knew that look; it was the same one he got before he showed off one of his magic tricks. "Alright Riley," she said to him, "What have you got for us?"

Riley laughed a bit in return, "You know me too well!" he chided her playfully, "You're taking away all the fun for Roxana!" The Eevee smiled at her with a wink, "What we need is an empty space and a lot of fire!" he said, eyes twinkling. "Come on, we're bound to find one if we look through this grass long enough!" He gave one last glance at the girls with a grin, "Get ready to work some magic!"

Roxana looked at the two confused, her head tilting to the side. What did Era meant? She felt so oblivious. She was more confused when Riley used her name in one of his sentences. the Eevee explained about how he needed some empty space and some fire. She could make out a bit from his plan, though she wasn't entirely sure if her suspicion was correct. "Well I could make the f-fire..." She said. Her eyes was else where and her head was still slightly tilted. "A-And I could a-also help finding the empty space too...if y-you want.." She added, not wanting to be judged as useless anymore. She knew it would take some time trying to find an empty space here. It would be easier if she was born with wings, then she could find and empty space above these tall grasses within minutes. But apparently she wasn't born with wings. However there is another way to spot an empty space easier rather than going through these endless sea of grasses. "I-I have an idea h-how to find an empty space!" She exclaimed the thought out of her mind and let the others know. She then glanced across an oak tree that stood near them all this time. The glance was just a sign of her plan so that she doesn't need to speak up again. It was quite large and tall, tall enough for Roxana to climb up and spot what they are going to find.

As exactly how she planned, she tried to climb the oak tree. Her first attempt wasn't very effective. She managed to get above ground though. At times like this, she wanted Pamela to be here, at her side, so she could climb that tree easily and spot the empty space they needed, not the other way around. She remembered how the feline climb up things with a quick jump or scale it all the way up there with the help of her sharp claws. She's also part feline, kind of. She lowered her chest to the ground, attempting to copy how she does her jumps. When she was ready, she leaped as high as she can, reaching to the nearest branch that could hold her weight. Her paws scrambled on the wooden oak, her tiny claws unsheathed to help her. One of her paws managed to grab the branch. She grabbed on the branch tightly while she tried pushing her body upwards. The branch was shaking a bit but it still seemed safe to sit on there. At last her body was rested on the branch, all of her paws held on to the branch. Her eyes was closed a the moment. Her right eye then popped open, trying to see where she was. The rainbow colored iris glistened under the sunlight that bursted through the leaves. Her heart was beating fast. Slowly, she opened her other eye. She was high up. She could see a lot of things from the view up there. She glanced down to find where Era and Riley is. Her gaze quickly turned in front of her. Looking down was scary. She swallowed her tongue. Her heart was still pounding hard and fast like it was about to explode. She inhaled deeply before exhaling the air. It seemed to relax her heart slightly. She looked at the over grown grasses. Her eyes shifted from left to right, scanning the sight until she spotted an empty room north of where the Pikachu and Eevee stood. Around it was filled with overgrown grasses. She wondered why that one wasn't filled with grasses. Now that she know where to look, she looked down at the two. How is she going to get down?

Meanwhile at Nadia and Luke's side, they were quite silent. No one came up with a topic. Winds stirred and fallen leafs often be seen rolling around. Suddenly, the Turtwig ended the silence. "Yes, indeed we know what kind of trouble they are doing." Luke replied as a response to Bacca. When Celus asked where they were heading Nadia glanced at him. To her surprise, she thought it was pretty obvious. I mean, where else Bacca was taking them? And didn't he already mentioned it before? She shrugged the thought off her head. Different people are different. No one can always have the same thoughts and opinions. "Well that's great, thank you." Nadia thanked the Turtwig. "Oh no it's my pleasure, ol' chap. Any Greens are welcome among our home." He said with the nicest expression. She smiled back. She couldn't wait to meet the fellow Greens just because she expected them to be also this nice to them. Though, its mainly just because Celus is here, what if he wasn't here? Would they still be welcomed anyways? She shook off the thoughts. Better just to stick on with reality than her silly mind.

Era & Riley & Celus

Riley's ears perked up at Roxana's comment, "Great! Era and I aren't exactly able to make fire ourselves, so I'm glad you'll help." He cocked his head with surprise at her comment about finding an empty space, she wasn't a Flying Type or anything tall, so how she'd have any more of an idea where they could go than himself or Era was beyond him. When she headed over to the tree though, he understood, and both he and Era watched her shaky attempts at getting up, beginning to grow a bit uncertain when she got higher than he'd expected. "Era, Vulpix aren't well known for their climbing skills..." he murmured, looking up and watching as Roxana peered out, clinging to the branch in an unsteady manner. The longer she stayed there, the more he felt there was something not right, "Era, I think she's stuck!" he said after a minute or so, eyes on her with a hint of fear now, "What are we going to do?"

Era had her eyes locked on Roxana; she'd felt from the beginning that this hadn't been such a good idea, and now she was certain. "I'll take care of her, don't worry," she said softly to Riley, crouching down to all fours: she'd need a running start for this.

"You'll what? Wait-Era, what are you doing?" The Eevee's words were said too late however, and Era was off. She raced toward the tree on all fours, eyes on the lowest branch. When she reached the base of the tree Era jumped, grabbing onto the branch and flipping up to a standing position in one fluid motion; something that came from lots of practice. She continued to climb, quickly and agilely up the tall tree, surprised to realize just how high Roxana must be. The massive height did not perturb her in the slightest, in fact the higher she got, the more at ease she seemed. The Pikachu paused only once to savor the feeling of the wind up where she was. It breezed through her fur and reminded her of another time, when she was younger and the world was innocent. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before readying herself for the rest of the climb.

She scaled to the heights of the tree where Roxana was without ever losing her footing, jumping out onto the front part of the branch, further out than where Roxana stood. "Need a hand?" she asked cheerfully, taking a few steps forward to comfort the uncertain Vulpix. "It was brave of you to come on up here to help out." She didn't mention that she could have done it herself, there was no need; what she needed to do was help Roxana get down. "Heights are kind of difficult to get past sometimes, but getting down a tree isn't too hard. It's just like getting up, all you have to do is jump from branch to branch."

----------

Celus looked around incredulously as Bacca stopped them outside one of the human buildings. "Here we are mates, home sweet home," he said. The Turtwig knocked on what looked like a door carved into another piece of wood, and a whispered exchange was held between their guide and was was presumably another Pokemon behind the door. Soon the door opened revealing a Chikorita who nodded to them and backed up to let them enter. "Welcome to the Green Headquarters," Bacca said, leading them inside.

The inside of the building was quite impressive, or more so than it had seemed from the outside. Whatever had been there from its first inhabitants was hardly distinguishable anymore; the Greens had made the area their own, that was obvious. There were computers and Pokemon absolutely everywhere, and every person seemed to be talking at once. The Grass Types glanced at the entering trio briefly, some looks following them, but most of them returning to their business shortly after. The walls were painted white, and it was well-maintained. Celus briefly wondered how long the Greens had been here, from the looks of it, things seemed thoroughly well maintained for what was supposed to have been a short amount of time. "Very nice set up you have here," Celus said to Bacca.

"Why thank you mate! We're proud of it," the Turtwig replied. "Now, if you all will excuse me, I've got to make my report. I'll be back in a tic, cheerio!" He turned and wandered off, leaving Celus, Naida, and Luke by themselves.

Celus turned to the others, "Sorry about before, I figured..." He cut off as other Greens began approaching them. It looked like he'd have to stay quiet after all.

Roxana watched Era climb up the tree swiftly. She was like a Flying type, only without wings, and four legs. She felt so embarrassed trying to climb up a tree. Her face became red as soon as the Pikachu faced her. "J-Jump from b-b-branch to branch...?" She repeated her words in fear. She looked down at the branches below the branch she's holding on to. It looked a bit far away. She was afraid if she'll slip when she was jumping onto the lower branches. She looked back at her, unsure. She swallowed her tongue again. "A-Are you sure..?" She asked once again, hesitating to jump.

Finally, after a moment of silence, she braced herself and jumped to another branch. She was scrambling for her life. One of her paws was slipping and she was a bit panicked to picked it up calmly. After a while, she managed to balance herself on the branch. She sighed, relieved. But that was only one branch, there are still a few more to jump into before she could reach the safe ground. She felt a churn on her stomach of thinking jumping again. But she had no choice if she wanted to get back down.

Era & Riley & Celus

"I'm positive," Era replied confidently to her timid companion, "I've been climbing trees since I was little." She stood perched on the edge of the branch, standing on her hind paws to watch the Vulpix. "You'll be fine, I promise. I'll be right there with you." The Pikachu's eyes locked onto Roxana's as she spoke, trying to channel some courage to her. The first step was the hardest; if she got down one branch, the others would be far easier. When Roxana jumped down, Era followed suit, jumping down on all fours and reaching out a paw to help steady Roxana's balance. "You're doing great," she encouraged the Vulpix, "Just keep it up, it'll be over before you know it."

"Are you two alright!" Riley called up to them. He was watching the whole thing from below and his heart was caught in his throat. Arceus, they were so high up. He hated heights, they made him feel an awful sense of vertigo. Even the sight of them up there made his stomach slightly upset. "Will you be able to get down alright?"

"We're fine Riley!" Era shouted back down. "Don't worry!" So long as Roxana kept up her courage everything should be fine. She stood on the branch waiting for her Vulpix companion to take another leap of faith. They were in no hurry to get down, so Roxana could take all the time she needed.

----------

Celus glanced at the group of Greens who had approached them with slight impatience. He didn't really want to chat idly here, but there was really no other choice. The Chikorita from before came up with a pair of Bulbasaur, and a Treeko in a lab coat, the four of them looking at the newcomers with interest. "So who might you chaps be?" the Chikorita asked, "Bacca doesn't normally bring others back from his expeditions."

"My name is Celus, and these are my companions Nadia and Luke," the Ivysaur returned, nodding to the other Grass Types, "We met Bacca by accident and he brought us here, saying that your leader would wish to speak with us."

"Oh most definitely," the Treeko replied, scribbling furiously in his notebook, "The boss will want to meet you chaps." He closed the book with an amicable smile, "Bacca will take you to him when he's finished reporting, but in the meantime feel free to direct any questions to us."

Oh so that explained everything to how she could climb that agilely. The average Pikachu couldn't climb trees like that, at least how she last recalled. She looked at the next branch. It wasn't very far nor was it very close its in the middle of the two. She jumped, focusing on where to land on the branch. Her fur bristled in fear when she landed. The branch shook from the impact but it didn't crack. She waited for Era to follow behind her before leaping off again to another branch. Her front paws made contact with the wooden branch but her body didn't. She clawed the branch, trying to pull herself upwards. Her hind legs was also scrambling to get up. She should've be prepared first for a longer jump. She'll regret it more when she finally gets herself up on the branch.

After a few hard attempts of scrambling her paws and legs, she gasped for air when she finally got herself sitting on the branch, clinging tightly against it's wooden structure. She remained silent for a moment, taking a good look at things. Her heart raced, her stomach churned once again at the thought of falling.

------------

The two listened to the fellow Greens. They look friendly. "Okay then." Nadia replied with a smile. "Though I wonder, how many Greens are there here?" She asked them with a tilted head and a confused expression. Well they said they could direct any questions to the so why not, it couldn't hurt to ask that. "Well there'd be millions of Greens here." The Treeko answered her. "Mainly because there ain't no other Green bases around these parts." He added. "I see." The Poochyena said as a small reply. Its either that or no replies at all in her mind so might as well just say it. "Oh and is it really okay for us to stay here? Are you really sure? I mean well we know that Celus is also a Grass-type and all but what about the two of us? We're so different than everybody else here.." She said, her voice trailed off sadly being the only two different Pokemon here as it seems. Sometimes different could be good, sometimes it could be bad. She always judged it as bad. Fitting in is alright...kind of. She then looked Celus, finally realizing she might offend him earlier.

Era & Riley & Celus

Era watched Roxana jump down a branch, feeling a little nervous as the Vulpix faltered yet again. There was a reason why animals that were more more canine than feline didn't climb trees; they just weren't built for it. If she was more cat-like Era could have her use her claws to help her, but as it was, Roxana's claws couldn't pierce the bark well enough to do any good. "Be careful!" she squeaked, jumping down to try and lend a paw, but Roxana had managed to get back to her paws before Era got down. The Pikachu took a deep breath, this was very trying to her emotions. "Roxana wait!" she said when the Fire Type had paused to collect her bearings. "This would be a lot easier if you didn't try to fall directly on the branch with all four legs."

The Pikachu got down on all fours to demonstrate for Roxana. "When you jump, you tend to keep all four paws below you, but you stiffen them so that they can't grab hold. See?" she said, jumping up and landing back on the branch, keeping her feet and paws stiff so that they hit directly on, causing her to wince; it was rather painful, that and she would have lost her grip if she hadn't been so experienced in these matters. "It doesn't let you grab on at all. What works better is to lean forward a bit when you jump down so that your front paws hit a little before your back ones. Watch." She jumped down another branch, demonstrating what she'd just said. "See, it's not that hard," she looked up at the Vulpix above her, "Now you try."

----------

When the Treeko responded to Nadia's first question, Celus looked at him with scrutiny. Millions of Greens? He seriously doubted that there were millions. There were a lot of them, that was for sure, maybe hundreds, but millions was a stretch, unless this place was larger than it seemed. "Well I'm sure that everything you do is quite well run. Everything seems quite...neat and punctual around here."

"Why thank you my good fellow," the Treeko replied, "We do our best to keep everything s**c and span. It's on the orders of the boss, he really appreciates when the place has order to it, so no one really has a choice."

"It's no trouble at all," the Bulbasaur on the right said to Nadia's second question, "So long as you are supportive of our kind then we have nothing against you. Even without your Green friend here we would hold no grudge if you strayed onto our grounds. Although with the Reds and Blues you might not be so lucky, ey?"

The other Bulbasaur nodded, "They're a nasty piece of work, best not interfere with their doings chaps." Clearly they meant well, but Celus still didn't like the situation. He sighed with discontent, hoping that Bacca would get back soon, he wasn't in the mood for idle chatting right now.

Roxana felt embarrassed now. But hey, she's not very good at climbing and no one is perfect, right? She didn't said a word and only observed the Pikachu. While she was sitting there looking at her, she leaned forward a bit, trying out what she said at how to land on the branches easier. The Vulpix thought this was slightly hard. She wanted to get to the ground badly. Jumping to the ground wasn't such a bad idea until she realized from the height she is in now, it may still hurt her. Ouch. She sighed and got up. Her gaze dropped to the branch where Era was waiting for her.

Remembering to lean forward slightly, she jumped. She could see the glimpse of Riley down ahead, but her mind was still focused on landing the branch. Her front paws hit down on the wooden branch, followed by her back paws. She was perfectly still for a moment. Her muscles was tense like it was hard as a rock. "I....I did it!" She finally let the words slip out of her mouth. Her eyes sparkled brightly. A smile stretched over her face. Even if she only succeeded once, she did it.

-------

The duo listened along the flow of conversation. "I could see why since being organized in things are nice." Nadia said with her tail flicked to the side in delight. She's the type who agrees that organizing is the right thing to do, but sometimes she can get lazy and never get to feel the sensation of being organized. Luke also agrees to that. His parents were so tidy and organized, it felt different than the way things are now. But living in Warriors Plateau for quite some time made him unaware how different it could be.

The Poochyena felt relieved to hear the Greens was fine with the two's presence in their territory. 'Right, be supportive.' She reminded herself in her thought. She faced at the Bulbasaur and gave a friendly nod as a response. "Well I guess that's kinda true." She also added for the Bulbasaur's last sentence. Her ears twitched and shifted her eyes to look at the other Bulbasaur. "You may not be so sure," Luke continued. "'Don't judge a book by its cover' as the famous quote says." He hoped they would understand what he meant and take a hint. The two teams are going to make peace eventually, and they'll have to have a start on trying to change the Pokemon's minds. So there you go.

Era & Riley & Celus

Era watched Roxana prepare herself, and then jump, the Pikachu's own heart skipping a beat as she watched the Vulpix fall. Era was nervous that her advice wouldn't help, that Roxana would land incorrectly somehow and it would be her fault, but it worked as smoothly as if Roxana had been practicing the art of climbing down trees for a while. Well, then again, maybe not that much, the Vulpix tensed a great deal after she landed, clearly fearing the same thing that Era did, but that was soon replaced by an expression of delighted surprise, and Era released a breath that she'd scarcely realized she was holding. "Great job!" she praised Roxana, "That was an excellent jump! Do you think you can make it the rest of the way now? I'll be right there by you, don't worry." She was taking things one step at a time, but regardless they had to get out of the tree sometime.

Riley down below had his eyes on the girls, pacing back and forth with concern; the faster they got down the more comfortable he'd feel. Sitting down, he summoned his cards and began to shuffle them, the pace rapid enough that the cards simply looked like a white blur that flowed between his paws. He didn't hear the voices nearby until they were almost upon him and he held the cards still so that they fell in a neat pile.

"...Said that ve vere all to head back immediately. It's only a few minutes avay avter all. Ve're needed vor ze reports." The voice was clearly that of a Fire Type, the accent was distinct enough that Riley recognized it after hearing it once. He strained his ears to pick up the rest of what the Red was saying. "...Zumsing about new tactics zo zey say. Ze flame is lit shortly. Do not be late." Another Red voice pipped up, but that was all Riley needed, the voices were heading in a northern direction and he could let Era and Roxana know when they got down. With a smile he returned to his cards to pass the time until they returned to ground level.

----------

"Too true mate!" the familiar voice of Bacca came to meet their ears, "We Greens pride ourselves in never only looking at face value; something the others never seem to do." He sighed although the smile was still on his face, "Well, we can't have it all, can we? That's why we've come to live with what we've got."

Celus held back a scornful look; these Pokemon were incredibly blind for claiming to be enlightened above the Reds and Blues. Luke had essentially spelled it out for them and Bacca claimed that they'd been doing it all along. They were missing the point, but he couldn't risk them being turned on by their current allies for his own state of mind. "Well it seems to be working for you currently. You may find a better alternative in the future though."

Bacca smiled somewhat condescendingly, much to Celus' chagrin, "Wouldn't we love that mate, but I'm afraid it just doesn't look like that'll happen." Blinking as if just recalling something, the Turtwig changed the subject, "Ah yes, the boss is expecting you now. Sorry old chaps but I'll have to take them to him." The other four Grass Types shook their heads, insisting that it was fine and wishing the best to Luke, Nadia, and Celus before departing. "Right then, are you ready?" Bacca asked brightly. Even though it was a question, Celus got the feeling that even if they didn't want to go, they would be taken there anyway.

"I think I c-could.." The Vulpix said, half unsure of her answer. She gazed down again. Only a few branches left! She could do this! She was hesitant to jump. She glanced at the Pikachu, searching in her face for some sort of a reassuring look. After a moment passed, she leaped, trying to repeat what she did, leaning her body forward. She wanted to cover her eyes but if she covered her eyes, she couldn't see anything thus she'll fall. She landed with a 'thump'. Her front paws arrived first before her other back paws. She looked up at Era whom is above her. She waited a bit before repeating the cycle again. Hesitate, jump, lean forward, land safely onto the branch. She didn't rush on jumping down this time. She always waited for Era to follow her. It makes her calmer when she was beside her for the most part of getting down the tree. Now that you think of it, the oak tree has a lot of branches. How many branches have they passed already, 10?

Shortly after many times of jumping down to branches, she was on ground-level. She let her body collapse on the soil. Who knew somebody could miss the ground so much? Her eyes dropped down to face what's in front of her. She could see Riley's brown legs. Her pupils shifted up, revealing the Eevee's appearance. She soon got up on her feet. She studied his face, curious of his expression. She tasted the air. She could smell a scent, a scent she wasn't used to smell. The scent smelled like a smoke that usually produced by fire. It was stale, but the smell grew stronger until she could hear voices she never heard before. The accent was quite obvious. Too obvious that it gave their identity away in a second she heard how they speak. Reds, and a bunch of them. "Ve vont." A new voice rose, replying to the other Fire-type. "Ve'll make sure of zat."

----------

The duo tilted their heads to face the Turtwig who seemed to have finished he's report. What Celus was thinking was also being thought by the Lucario hybrid. It was true they don't really act as what Bacca had just said. If it was true, then they won't be saying how the Reds and Blues are a bad fellow and he wouldn't said it in the first place either. He had a feeling that stopping a war would be far more harder than he assumed. When the Turtwig asked them if they were ready, Nadia hadn't given the chance to reply to it since he already dragged the trio towards the path where their 'boss' room is.

The Greens' headquarters grew slightly larger than how it looked like the deeper they went. Green-type Pokemon eyed them silently, pausing whatever they were working on. None of the eyes seemed to show any hatred. It showed more kindness instead. As they walked, the Poochyena wondered how the others were doing. She didn't know what they were doing. No one saw them lurking around so they must have went to the Reds already. She hoped that they would be welcomed among the Reds like they were now welcomed to the Greens.

Era & Riley & Celus

Era smiled at Roxana with reassurance, which seemed to be just what the Vulpix needed to get her started. Each time Roxana leaped down a branch, Era followed without hesitation; going down wasn't a problem for her, so she wanted to make certain that Roxana kept her confidence up. The plan seemed to work for the most part, Roxana was hesitant each time before she leaped, but each time she landed well enough, and each time was more successful than the last, until they reached the ground and Roxana collapsed to the earth, seemed at once relieved beyond words and to be taking in the feel of the soil once more. Era smiled slightly at her happiness, it took a lot out of you to climb a tree for the first time, even for those who were meant to climb trees. Being as small as she'd been when Era was a Pichu, she'd been very lucky to have such careful teachers. There's no one better than a Flying Type to help you scale the heights, especially when you know that they can and will catch you if you fall. The memory brought a tender smile to her face, but she was pulled back to the present quickly when Riley poked her with a paw and gestured for her to listen.

"Very vell," the first Red said, sounding rather satisfied with the answer, "I vill zee you zen. Keep vatch vor any Greens or Blues, ze're alvays trying to interrupt our ceremonies." With that, the voices faded away, carried off by the breeze as the other Reds responded, and both Era and Riley relaxed a little. It was all very well to meet the Reds soon, but not when they would think that they were spying on them. That wouldn't go over well at all.

Riley smiled, his deck of cards vanishing at the flick of a paw as he stood, "I'm so glad you two are alright!" he said happily, "I couldn't climb a tree if I wanted to, heights aren't really my thing." The Eevee's tail swished back and forth contentedly, "Anyway, you heard those guys, they're performing some sort of ceremony or tactics meeting soon. From they sound of it they're headed north, but I'm not entirely sure. Did you see any clearings around here that they might be gathering in while you were up there?"

----------

Celus followed Bacca without a word, walking to one side of Nadia and Luke. The Ivysaur's expression was thoughtful, as though he was deeply pondering something. He was in fact thinking about how to divide the borders of the Villa. It was terribly difficult to break down prejudices, especially ones as strong as those that ran in this place. They'd need to take drastic measures and, just as importantly, pinpoint how the fighting had first originated if they wanted even a ghost of a chance at making this work. He'd have to discuss it with his other two companions whenever he got the chance, but for now there was no way to do so; they were standing before a door that clearly led to the Greens' leader. "Here you go mates, he's awaiting you all with great anticipation," the Turtwig nodded to a watch Bulbasaur who stood by the door, and the other Grass Type opened the door with one of his vines. "Take care now, I don't know how long he'll want to chat, but I'll be waiting for you. Cheerio!"

Well, that was reassuring. Celus nodded to Bacca, "Alright, we'll come find you when we've finished," he said, "Thank you for you hospitality." The Turtwig nodded off the compliment and gestured for them to enter. Inside was a long passage that led to another door, clearly the center of the headquarters, and guards of all four Grass Types there were lining the hall to ensure no one got to their leader. Celus led the way, he was slightly nervous, but more firm than anything in his steps. They were let in to the center room by another Bulbasaur guard, and the door was closed behind them as they entered.

Inside was nothing sort of amazing. There were computers on every wall like that in a war room, and there was a desk with several piles of books on it, some open, some closed. As they walked down the stairs leading forward, they heard a voice, "...Indeed, we must be prepared for an assault at all times, see to the necessary preparations if you will Evelyn." The voice came from behind the books and a Turtwig bustled out, carrying a wad of instructions in her mouth and exiting quickly; clearly that must have been Evelyn.

Celus made his way forward and cleared his throat, "Ah, excuse me," he said, "We're here to see..."

"Ah welcome, welcome!" the voice said cheerfully. "I just put the kettle on, do come in." A lovely Chikorita stepped out from behind the books and nodded to them, "I haven't had visitors from out of Starter Villa in so long."

Roxana listened to the last bit of conversation. At what they seem to be discussing, just like as Riley says, they are going to perform some sort of ceremony or a tactics meeting. She glances at the Eevee, hearing his question. "North? O-Oh, I think I know where they're going." She said, remembering that she spotted one before she was stuck in the large oak tree who has a lot of branches. "We just need to head n-north." She continued. She walked to the north direction, ready to lead since she's the one who knows where the empty space is, but she isn't quite sure if Era saw it too. Facing the overgrown grasses, she trembled. Going through these grasses sometimes makes her itch. Luckily, she didn't feel much itch before she climbed the tree but it still makes her uneasy. Well at least its better than climbing/climbing down a tree and have the risk of following every time she was one step close to the ground.

She tilted her head to the side and glanced at the two, before waiting patiently. She was not excited to go through the grasses so soon thus they don't have to rush it.

------

The Poochyena turned to Bacca as a response when he said he was leaving them for a while. "Bye then Bacca. Thanks again!" She raised her voice a bit so the Turtwig could hear her when he started to walk away from them. She glanced at Luke then Celus before following to head forward. Glares came from the security guards. She felt nervous with all those eyes looking at the three. Some people also feel a bit uneasy if there's somebody eyeing on them all the time. She leaned closer to the Lucario without having to stop in her slow pace.

Within seconds, they were in front of the door to their so-called 'leader'. Her ears pricked at the sound of a conversation. She was unfamiliar with the voices. Mainly because she never met these people before, which is kind of obvious. Same reason as Luke. A Turtwig then walked past them in a quick pace. She looked like she was in hurry to get out of the room. She then turned to the Chikorita who greeted them. "Hello, nice to meet you." Nadia said politely and formally as she could, though the Lucario beside her could do that easily and way better than how she could.

Era & Riley & Celus

Era and Riley both listened intently to Roxana's comments; clearly she had seen something at any rate. Era hadn't initially gone up to find a way back, but she recalled seeing a clearly as she had come down. The Pikachu couldn't lead though, her idea was really mostly vague, and she didn't want to accidentally lead them the wrong way; North was vague enough as it is. "Alright, lead the way," Era said to Vulpix with a smile, "We want to get there in time for whatever they're planning after all."

"Wouldn't want to miss the party," Riley joked, a easy smile returning to his face, "They said there's going to be a flame lit, it may be an actually flame, or it might just be a metaphor, but we'll definitely know when were close. It'll be getting really hot." He laughed a little, "So that should help us out a bit." The two walked up beside Roxana, and Era pulled the tall grass back to let the others through first. "Back we go into the grass," Riley said with a sigh, and they waited for Roxana to lead them on.

----------

The Chikorita smiled at Nadia's introduction, "Nice to meet you as well, I'm sure," she said briskly, "The name's Evelyss Maron Carsynthemin Restria Abinvar, but Evelyss is fine." She spoke so quickly, Celus had to process what she said a few times before actually understanding it, and even as he was doing that, her talking continued, "You'll have to excuse the mess, I rarely have visitors you see. When Bacca told me you were coming I put some tea on...Oh the tea! How silly of me, give me one moment." She hurried off into a side room and the sounds of a few things clanging against one another was heard before she emerged with a platter bearing four teacups, a teapot, sugar, milk, and spoons to stir with. Her vines held it above her head and when she got back, she placed it on the floor in front of them. "Now then, milk, sugar?" She asked each of them in turn and handed out then drinks as they were requested. For her own she put in milk and sugar, stirring it with her vines as she made conversation. "You three must have come quite a way, Lucario and Poochyena aren't often found around here, and those in the Villa choose not to evolve normally. Please, tell me about yourselves."

Celus sipped his black tea quietly; it was herbal, a delightful blend really, although under the circumstances it was...difficult to enjoy it. He didn't really know what to think of their host; she didn't seem much different than any other Green, yet apparently she was their leader. Taking another swallow, he looked up to converse with her, perhaps conversation would yield a touch more knowledge than they had now. "Well, as you may have been told, my companions and I have been traveling for a while and were looking for a place to rest. We made our way into this Villa, only to encounter Bacca, who brought us here. My name is Celus and my companions are called Nadia and Luke. We appreciate your hospitality."
