Blackrose_Knight Kitty Konspirator I hope things get better for Annette. Have you tried soup? Or other things easy to swallow? I took Annette, Riri, myself and Auntie out for "Distraction Cold Stone Creamery Ice cream". I think that helped a little. I took Eevee to Cold Stone for the first time the other day. She wasn't impressed, but it was kind of crowded at the time. Hopefully the one we go to today will be better.

So an update-
My Dom isn't even under consideration for being my Dom anymore.
We've been having some problems for a while now- mostly neglect on their part. In the last few weeks things got worse. We sat down to try and work stuff out and she said something very striking- "I'll lie, cheat and steal to get what I want."
We came to some compromises- which I upheld my end, but the promises for taking more time and putting more effort into our relationship on her part never came to be. I then found out that they've been dating other people without informing others. Then they've pretty much said as soon as the lease is up they're bailing- they plan to get a place with their BF. All of their reasons are pretty foolish- they like all the benefits of living with us but don't want to put in their share of the effort. I think that when they realize how expensive it is going to be for them to live on their own- they'll be a little more than unhappy.
It hurts to feel used like this.

Saew eek Sorry to hear that things went down like that, Riri *hugs* sad *hugs* Thanks Saew. I don't know- I feel a little used, but it's not as bad as it could have been I guess. I'm a wiz kid when it comes to budgets- so I know Blackrose, Chryos, Annette and I will be ok. I guess I'm glad that this came up now- instead of after we had spent some of the inheritance on them. Annette is doing better too.

For the first time in years I have lots of very solid plans. In fall I'm going back to college and I'll do Fall, Winter and Spring quarter. In conjunction with Fall Quarter I'll be doing NaNoWriMo. In conjunction with Winter Quarter- I'll be taking the Master Gardner's Program and buying a house which I'll move into during the spring. I'll also be working with the volunteer group over the spring that builds gardens for low income families. My Mother In Love and Sister in Love (Annette's family) will be visiting then too.
Then Summer- from June 1st - September 1st I'll leave my home for a 3 month intensive course that combines "Primitive Living Skills" with modern Eco-Engineering. So next June when I disappear- people will know where I am.
There's a party next weekend- and the whole house is invited, but I get the feeling that no matter how important it is to me- my roommates won't come.
The situation has shifted how I see the house- there's my family, which is Annette, Blackrose, Chryos and I and then there are the roommates- my Dom and her partner. Roommates + Family = The Household. It's a little sad, but it is what it is.
My D wanted to talk to me the other day, so we sat down and talked. He basically said he didn't mean for it to work out this way- that he meant everything he said but that his feelings changed and he decided that participating in a family environment wasn't something he enjoyed. I could understand that if it weren't for the months of neglect and empty promises to do things differently.
I mean- people change, and yeah- I feel pretty used because while he was in a bad place I took care of him and the second he gets a BF he pays almost no attention to me. Come to think of it- I'm kind of tired of being the understanding one- maybe this isn't how he had envisioned it working, but his behavior was still pretty crappy. I mean- if someone's there for you through thick and thin, holding you when you cry- doing fun stuff with you to keep your spirits up, and your responses is to find a love interest and ditch them- you're a pretty crappy friend no matter how many times you say "I'm sorry" but still act the same way. stare

Yay for solid plans! *hugs* And congrats on getting your own house! biggrin Some interesting courses you are taking too it sounds like. *presses "ctrl +" a few times so his ancient eyes can read tiny text* Well I hope you have fun at the party, and maybe some of the house will be able to join? As to your D..well..sometimes there's really no explaining what was going on in someone else's head. sad Hopefully the time will pass quickly and with little pain for you. I know how awkward it can be living with an ex.
