Kitsune Trick: Comes down to communication I guess, and if someone falls out of love for any reason. I guess it's hard to admit when you've fallen out of love, even if we wish people would do it sooner and save us the hurt.

Jaimie sighed, letting his chin rest on his hand. There was a line that made him wish that he could feel justified in sneaking out and getting a nice under-aged drink. He could really go for something stiff right about now. What the hell was he doing trying to offer relationship comfort to some girl on the net for anyway?

Kitsune Trick: No Significant Other at the moment, recent enough I won't be looking for a little while, and kinda... not getting along with the family members. Complicates things. Might have to put up with the disgusting stranger.

Sadly he couldn't hop back and forth to Regulus enough that camping there was an option. Besides he'd probably wake up a raisin. He'd been born on earth this time, and didn't have... whatever the hell genetic differences might have made it more bearable for people to live on a world with no night, if they'd had any at all. It was kind of impossible to know really.

GrayCitadel: I just wish people would tell each other what they're thinking, you know? As authors, we have the power to tell our reader what our characters are thinking. It's good to have that knowledge whether it's something good or bad.

The teen leaned back in her chair. If she were home, she would no doubt hear her brother Zach running around outside her door, or hear her dad cooking downstairs. Now the house was empty without their mother being there. It was strange - empty and soulless for a while, she thought, like something incredibly important was missing. Since her mother didn't maintain much contact, Christa couldn't help but think 'good riddance'.

She hated to think that way.

GrayCitadel: You broke up with someone? That's gotta hurt. Hope he wasn't too much of a douche for you. But maybe some distance will help, you know? Weird, talking to someone you don't even know about your life. Sometimes I guess it's better that way - can't judge as easily.

KitsuneTrick: It wasn't nice, but I think it was best for both of us. It was like waking up one morning and slowly realizing that we both wanted something totally different. I offered a long term commitment and that was... the big fracturing point on top of a lot of little ones. It just took me a little while to let myself see that they were just playing along. No one cheated on anyone, but I don't think either of us was really who the other one thought we were falling in love with.

He paused, debating further before he continued writing.

KitsuneTrick: I think it's easy to talk to someone we haven't seen face to face because they can't come by the next day and give you one of those 'looks'. You know, the 'what were you thinking' looks? Also sometimes it's nice to get thoughts from someone who's not connected to the situation so they don't have a personal bias on it. That's why it's easy to tell an audience what we're thinking and not someone we care about. The audience can take us or leave us, but we're stuck with the people close to us if we cause a problem, or we get left afraid we'll loose everything. ... Kind of like that Aesops fable with the dog trying to get the meat from it's reflection so it could have that too.

Christa read over the text and thought for a few moments before responding.

GrayCitadel: Seems like you guys parted amicably, which is really good. But things like this happen. Sometimes even the best of communication doesn't make up for two people wanting two different things. No cheating is a plus too. Can't say that for my mom.

But maybe you guys can remain friends if you parted on good terms. After a while of stewing, of course. It's not easy to go back to the friend stage after being in a relationship with someone. It's awkward at first, but after a while, things might mellow out again. Good people are hard to come by in any day and age.

She leaned on her elbow for a while while she thought again.

GrayCitadel: And maybe some distance will be good too. I can't claim to know you or your ex, but sometimes time can heal a lot of wounds. Maybe I should take my own advice about mom.

KitsuneTrick: Yeah I'll be taking a leave of absence while I wait for things to play out. In my experience, these are the sort of things that tend to have a slow burn and sometimes explode right when you think you've settled everything pleasantly.

He wouldn't have blamed Tallulah if she were angry and looking to justify everything, lord knows he probably was, but that didn't mean he was going to get too close to the chaos. Especially since most of their mutual friends were Senshi. DANGEROUS Senshi.

KitsuneTrick: I hope something similar works out for you though, I dunno if it'll ever be possible to understand all sides of things, but maybe it'll become possible to live with them.

GrayCitadel: Hmm. Then maybe some distance is good. Who knows, you might be friends again. I guess you would know better than I would. I'm trying to look on the bright side, you know? Been so cooped up in my own head that sometimes the bright side seems so far away.

KT had a point, and most likely a better understanding of her relationship with her ex than anyone else did. Still, Christa found herself wishing KT the best, regardless of whether or not they knew each other personally.

GrayCitadel: Well, I should get going. There's an essay staring at me from the other side of my desk. Evidently, placing it in time out didn't make it get itself done... I hate school so much sometimes. Maybe we could continue this chat sometime later? It's not every day you can find someone else as interested in writing as I am.

KitsuneTrick: I should get back to studying myself! Good luck with the essay! I'll probably be around here and there so look me up sometime.

Well that had been fun, he hadn't really dusted off the KT login for a while, and it had been fun.
