[R] Slow down [Ever x Ari]

The idea of prim and proper Crystal Academy teaching their 'ladies of tomorrow' how to drink had Ari in sporfles. Thankfully she was mostly done with her drink at this point, so it wasn't sprayed everywhere.

"Yeah," she said, wiping tears of mirth from eyes, "sure. Like I'm not the odd one out already." It was good thing no one from Crystal could see her like this. Bitches and cliques, that was Crystal to a T. No wonder Ari felt more welcome among a group of violent, killer senshi.

She gave Ever a bright grin as he said she wasn't 'that bad'. It was nice to hear, even from a stranger. At least she didn't have some kind of bloodthirsty aura that sent everyone running (like Tanzanite, Ari shuddered).

"Dancing sounds perrrrfect," Ari agreed. There was a bit of wobble as she slid off her seat, but at least she didn't fall. She held out a hand to Ever, ready to drag him along if she had to.

His hand settled in hers, surprise blossoming as she dragged him along -- and he hauled her back, slowing her just enough to give him time to finish off his drink. Then Ever was all too willing to follow, the only thing holding back their pace the fact that his feet didn't seem to want to work right. The floor was sticky, obviously; that was why he almost fell on his face near the dance floor, ended up clutching at her to keep his balance.

"...s**t." At least he could laugh about it, expression bright, eyebrows raised in faint question.

"I must be really smashed to be out here with you..." Ever was totally unapologetic as he settled in closer to her. No, not interested in the slightest, he would be comfortable tomorrow that he was still thoroughly gay. But she was a good height, and she wasn't shy, and that was a nice break from the usual.

Ari snickered. "Tell me about it," she yelled over the music. It wasn't like she'd gone home with strangers, even when drunk, but it was nice to think the guy you were dancing with appreciated you. Or that he was at least enjoying the flirting, teasing aspects of dancing. Ever... yeah, not so much. Oh well, at least she wasn't in any danger of having him get handsy or trying to drag her home with him.

... She just had to hope her boyfriend didn't meet Ever and try to do the dragging home thing on him. Ari giggled at the thought.

Ah well. She was drinking and dancing. Flirting could wait for another night. Two out of three wasn't bad.

He did flirting and teasing anyway -- just a different sort than she was probably used to, spinning her out in an exaggerated fashion instead of cuddling up close against her. Ever wasn't a particularly anything dancer, but he did seem to have no shame, which always helped in these situations. All elbows and bright grins, cheerfully sticking with her and coming across as so obviously gay by the distance he kept between them that no one in a million years would think they were together.

Eventually, though, drunk and flushed, the press of the dance floor was going to break them apart, someone cutting in to separate them, and once they'd lost sight of each other it would be just about impossible to find each other again.
