Christa was right in her thoughts, Mel was up and about. Picking her flute back up, she sets it in its case before setting that onto the floor nest to her bed. She kept quiet as her cousin spoke, that is until she fell quiet. Pausing at her desk, she ran her fingers over the back of her chair as she heard about Zach.
She should have known, after all, Zach and Bradley were close. Sighing against the mike on her phone, she lifts her fingers to the bridge of her nose. She didn't know what to do, just too much going on at once.
"I think I will try to come by this weekend. Maybe even try to talk to Zach. He needs to talk." she mentally kicked herself as she knew she should be taking her own advice. Brushing her thoughts off, she would beat herself up later.
"What movie you guys planning on seeing?"

Christa leaned against the wall as she listened to Mel. Look at her, trying to be brave for everyone else when she herself still needed help. Christa shook her head when she heard Mel's offer of coming over to see Zach. "Mel, you need to take care of yourself first. Maybe we could all visit you instead, and then go out to see a movie. Just something funny to take out mind off of things. What do you say about that?"
Maybe they could make a nice weekend get together out of it, family showing family support. That's what they needed most right now was each other. If they could all get together and go out someplace to forget about what happened, even momentarily, it would be for the best.
"How's that sound to you, Mel?"

Mel sat there in silence for now as she listened to her cousin. Come visit her? She didn't even want to be inside her own home at the moment, let alone allow anyone to see what was going on within her home. Pinching the bridge of her nose once more, she chuckles rather lightly as she nods some "How about I meet you guys at the movie? Just text me the info of which theater you guys are going to. I'll meet you there?"
Her eyes turn to look towards her window. Night was falling upon her quick, she would have to go soon. Shaking her head once again, she drops down onto her bed as she looks up at her ceiling. She really didn't want to do anything at the moment, but she didn't really have a choice.

"That's fine Mel. I have to go now too, but I'll text you the info. If you need a ride or something, let me know. And... you get some sleep, okay?"
Christa knew that was the best she could manage with Mel at that time, but nothing else really needed to be done. She'd find them a good movie to watch and take their mind off of things for the time being. Even a little reprieve was better than none at all, and Melinda deserved a break more than any of them. The teen leaned back and felt the plush embrace of her bed. She would need sleep too, but had no idea if it would come to her that night.
"You sleep well, okay? I'll talk to you later."
