Dear Diary,
What an interesting year this has proven to be, D-corp caught up with me recently and I seem to have been saddled with the charge of raising an experiment of theirs. A small girl I've come to call Ritsa, she carries the DNA of a Pompeii Worm, I didn't even know this creature existed until I had to do some research into her strange make-up. Whatever happened to human experimentation? wasn't this stuff illegal? Maybe that's why I'm being forced not to say anything, they didn't say I couldn't write about it! The child that I was given to watch over is very pretty though I must say, such beautiful big green eyes and her hair looks like feathers, even feels like feathers too. She wont let me pull them back into a pony tail, complains she can't breath. What an odd thing for a child to say, but perhaps its just her uniqueness after all she does have many strange quirks.
Lately shes taken to falling asleep in the hot tubs, curled up in a blanket no less, complains she's to cold when it time to sleep. I was scared at first I thought I had really messed up and the child had drowned on me when I found her curled up in a blanket in the bottom of the hot tub, turned out my little angel can breath underwater! Can you believe it!? Must be part of that worm DNA in her, but being to cold when she sleeps. I might have to look into turning up the heat in the hot tub somehow. Only strange stipulation about this quirk is she can't have her hair covered. Not that she would let you, I can't even get a pair of scissors near it either. Guess I'm just not meant to cut them back at all.
That's not even close to the scariest moment with my little girl either, Ritsa had poured herself a bath one day complaining her skin hut to much. I went to check on her and found the bath water at boiling point she was sitting in it at waist level I immediately pulled her out expecting to have to rush to the hospital. Turns out she can withstand extreme temperatures of heat. Why didn't they tell me this? Wait did they? Guess I'll have to sift through the paper work again. That's not all I recently caught her last week playing with my candles, I had lit one night when the power went out. Wiggling her fingers through the flames like nothing was wrong, shes taken a strange liking to fire lately. I'm scared shes going to get to close to a large open flame and kill herself in a large campfire or something.
That aside I have a wonderful daughter, she enjoys when i play the violin for her dances and sings, such a beautiful voice for such a quite child soft and warm. When she isn't dancing or singing to my music shes taken to chasing and catching bugs and she's really good at that too, shes very very fast at catching them. she brings them back completely unharmed asking if she can keep it. I've taught her her how to keep them safe in a ventilated jar with food and other necessities and shes done quite well with that as well, cant believe how fast she catches onto things she enjoys. When they die we have started to mount them in class frames for protection and hanging them up on her wall. Shes very proud of them, maybe i should make her a butterfly garden around her special hot tub (which I will have to fix for her) after all everyone needs their safe haven. I know she would love that. I better look into how that is done, I hope she never grows out of her musical love and passion for butterflies.
Oh I almost forgot, Ritsa has made some wonderful friends lately and begs to see a few of them again in the future. I wonder if i'll be able to find them again Ritsa seems terrible at remembering their names. However the strange encounters have left her with a new hobby lately she seems to kicking things. I hope its not because she stumbled on me when I was practicing my martial arts. That could really traumatize a kid!
