HP: ??? Despite its close proximity to the ocean, the inside walls were relatively free of mildew. From what you could see, anyway -- a good portion of the round room was quite literally pitch black. The fact that the room began to grow darker as more and more people entered didn't help. Natural lighting can only penetrate a room so far, and even less if people were blocking the windows.
As Beta 12 shouted, the mysterious figured shrieked and dragged itself backwards, away from her. Eta 9's words made the figure stop, but Alpha 8's comments made the shadowy thing speak.
"N-no. No, no, no! Not again! I don't want to die! I don't --"
It broke off as soon as Delta 8 spoke up. "You... you are not one of the Hooded Ones?"
The figure made to approach, backing up yet again as Beta 1 spoke. "Sorry. So sorry, I cannot see. So that is your leg, yes?"
There was a silence, spent as if one was thinking. "You... Maybe you will help me? There is no escape from here. Only an ending. But... maybe you will not reach an end? Maybe... yes. Maybe you can help."
The darkness seemed to shudder before it retreated, the shadows seeming to form a stairway to the second floor. No, wait -- a close inspection reveals that whatever it was went under the staircase. Either way, in the middle of the fort you can see several boxes.
"Those will help, yes. Grab only two. Both from same box, one from two different boxes doesn't matter. Go to the top floor and throw them. Then..." the voice trails off, uncertain. "I do not know."
The upstairs is much brighter than downstairs. For starters, the shadowy person isn't here. Secondly, the roof is missing. You figure it was some sort of glass ceiling before something shattered it. Pieces of glass litter the floor, but it's no big deal. You're covered in head to toe -- glass can't hurt you. It can't cut, and there isn't a piece big enough to stab anyone with. You suppose the shadow-spirit-thing wants you to toss whatever you picked up over the edge of the edge of the glass roof.Quote: THE OOC:Pick two of the following: Red, Black, Yellow or Green. You can pick two of the same or two different ones. ICly two can fit comfortably in one hand. Then, go upstairs and throw them by rolling four 10-sided dice. Don't worry about what you roll -- I need this for my ~mysterious GM thing~ that will come into play later on this event. Or you can choose to attack the shadowy person. I mean, they ARE a freaking shadow. ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO WHAT IT SAYS? But then again, it does seem to be the only one who knows what's going on... whatever it is. So many choices! What will you do? O: Also if you're still alive, feel free to join in~~

{Theta 8 Entering from... Lighthouse? I'm not sure if I have to post in the travel thread or not to get here.. so please excuse me if I'm incorrect..}
"Where the f--- am I...?" a muffled and gruff voice grumbled, body heavily weighed on the ground. A disgruntled man, deemed the name of Theta 8 was lying groggily in some sort of new territory, head throbbing in an irritating manner. It felt like that first time, before the 'orientation' into the hell hole that all the 'volunteers' had been dropped in. Groaning, the tall man started to bend his legs, and arms, eventually easing himself onto a knee, and heave onto unsteady boots. Wincing as his skull gave an unappreciative grip to his brain, the unknown man gave a heavy sigh, wishing he could rub at his aching head. God d---it... he hissed to himself, teal coated sight gazing around the new territory he'd been dropped in. What was this place now? How many times were they going to drug him?! AND HOW IN THE F--- DID THEY DO IT?! Sneering behind his mask, Theta 8 snapped his head this way and that to take a gander at his surroundings. There were others... Interesting.... But different from last time of being drugged and shipped, they wore varied colours. Other teams. It didn't really matter or effect him. He didn't even have allies with his own team. Bunch of pricks.. he cursed internally. Screw them. Checking his gear, a feeling like a brush smoothed past the mans leg, causing it to jerk in reflex. Tipping his head down to try and get a look at his new target, there appeared to be nothing there. Frowning harder, hand fiddling with the cellphone, he stayed completely still to try and listen for what ever slick and slimey creature was lurking about.
what.. the... f---..

Deli clearly did not like the situation: I mean, purple sand? Bad enough that ponies went about on fire and talked, and people came back only to die again, and people playing cosplay with Kingdom Hearts wannabe Organization Members with friggen deadly weapons, but now even geological laws were being trolled?
Awesome. Bleeeeh. He honestly wished he could stop, call a break for food, and turn off the tv for a bit. The willies from feeling something brush his leg were just . . . .agh.
Thankfully he spied Delta 5 and Theta 7, two of his teammates, and waved them down in the somewhat crowded place.
"Could be worse," Delta 3 replied to Beta 1's comment. "Got pierced through the armor by one of those buggers, and it was crawling up my leg to the manparts." And indeed, he did chuckle.
Ho boy. Laughter was the only way to get through for the poor guy.
To Delta 8, Deli added, "Oh, those hooded ones? Saw one back at the Cove when I was called over. Real charmer. This guy doesn't seem much like him though . . ." Well, really the differences were that there was no snark and no cloak - but still quite evasive speech.
And then, speaking of the devil, the shrouded figure spoke and instructed. And to be frank, Deli was in no mood to argue. At least Grim had given him and his buds pendants - he wasn't about to go and give them a chance to snatch that chance at survival away from them. Looking about and seeing no-one move forward first, he clapped his hands together.
"Eh. What the hell, let's have some fun!"
The only way to know what was right and what was wrong was to see what happened with an option first, after all!
Thus Deli moved forward and examined the offered boxes, immediately snatching one of the green ones - just like for his team color - and followed it up by snatching a red item. Grinning under his mask, the guy headed on upstairs and, though he was covered in armor, gingerly stepped about the glass-encrusted floor.
Weird place, this. Maybe when they had a window of opportunity, he'd ask where the hell they were. Or maybe someone else would before then. Who cared!
"It's Christmas Time, bitches~!" he crowed boyishly as he tossed the boxes over.

Really, it was too dark in here to tell what the figure speaking was, but hearing Deli's words he was sure this figure was not a hooded figure, and he knew he wasn't.
"No, no were not hooded figures. I can't speak for us all but I won't hurt you." In fact he would do as told. Delta Eight was going to trust the shadow figure, because they sounded like they may know something and they didn't sound like a threat. Not to mention what could grabbing two boxes, going up some stairs, and throwing said boxes out a window do?
It didn't sound dangerous, maybe Delta Eight hadn't had a whole lot of bad experiences on this Island - like enough to know not to trust anything.
Going to the boxes, a black and then a green one, Delta Eight took two boxes and made his way, carefully, up the stairs.
Where Delta Eight thought windows and all would be there were none. As the glass shattered he sighed. Well, that made this easier. Over the edge the two boxes went.
"Ok, I've done what you asked." And he hurried down the stairs. He didn't want to remain up there.

Beta I had a face under her mask. It was this face: >:T
She did not approve of her leg being molested. Or manhandled. Or touched inappropriately. Or just not knowing who was doing what to her leg and why. It was her leg. She would like control of it. And at the very least be able to see who was going to get touchy feel-y with it. "....Please try not molest my leg. I understand the level of difficulty with vision, but manhandling limbs is not very..pleasant." She tacked onto the end. "But I understand the situation, and do not blame you. Just try to avoid it if possible." The cryptic words the shadow provided gave Beta I pause. No escape? BULLSHIT. If there was a way in then- Hold up. " Again?" That didn't sound good. "What do you mean again? You die you die. There is no again." This, coming from someone who had died. Not that she could remember it. She just figured it was more island magical mystery. It seemed full of it. "And besides, endings are so...false. Nothing ends. And ending just signals the start of something new doesn't it? Or does it mean you have a sequel? I can't see a sequel being better then the original." She sighed in any case. Unable to see she addressed Delta 3. "I am not curious about your man parts. Please keep them to yourself. Cross contamination seems...dirty." Picking up two objects from the black box she figured that mystery shadow would have as much direction as the rest of them. "Pardon just let me-" A toss. A small hope she'd get those bear hands. She would totally be able to toss those disks like a pro with her bear hands.

"Yeah, sure. Just as long as you don't throw us over the edge."
Alpha Eight's poor humor still managed it's way out. He didn't really know how to feel about the task given to him. He didn't have a reason to resist since it seemed the shadow creature needed their help. Not that Eight particularly cared, but he also didn't feel he possessed the means to resist and force the shadow to give him answers or better yet a pendant. He still needed one, badly. Eight wanted to ask the shadow about the reward for complying, but there were too many strange faces or masks around to cause a scene. He didn't like the idea of sticking out. No, he didn't have allies to rely on here. Best to keep things light. Yes, light.
"Guess proper compensation will be discussed later. Upfront payment seems out of the question. Haha."
Making his way to the boxes, he decided to pick two of the same color. Eight didn't like the idea of trying to match two colors or puzzle over a proper combination. He wanted to keep his mind on the prize, not worry about being judged for his choice in color. Two red items were chosen and he made his way up the stairs. Almost running, he hated the idea of lingering in the poorly lit room. The sky was a welcome sight and quickly tossed the two red items over the edge. Best to speed things up.
"Not exactly my idea of normal help, but I guess we all can't throw things over an edge. Yeah, really difficult. Hahaha".

Twelve was confused. This shadow person wasn’t with the other hooded figures on the island? He took a step towards the staircase, where the stranger apparently hid. The revelation eased and unsettled him. At least he could safely say that the person did not mean any harm, but shouldn’t one of the hooded people be here? Twelve briefly pulled out his cellphone again to make sure he had not dreamed up receiving and responding to a text message, though the idea was convoluted.
“No escape. That’s lovely.” He muttered over his breath, disappointed at the vague snippet of information, but didn’t completely take it to heart. They were still pretty suspicious to him.
So why the heck was he doing what it asked? Twelve strode over to the pile of boxes and sifted through the colored objects. Did it matter what color he picked? He reached down to pull a green one and a yellow one. They sort of made a decent color scheme, so why not. People had already begun to trek up the stairs, so Twelve followed. It was much brighter upstairs. Twelve blinked and strained through the light as his eyes began to adjust again.
He ignored the glittery shards of glass scattered around the floor and threw both of his objects with as much might as he could. Twelve had no idea how this was supposed to do him any good, but hopefully it wouldn’t do him any bad either.

The hooded figure had taken Eta V by surprise, and his instructions were...confusing, if not foreboding. No escape from this place? that did not bode well....
Well, either he could just stand around, or he could follow the figured instructions. He walked past the retreating shadows and up the stairways, still wary of the glass on the floor even with his suit on, he then looked at each box trying to figure out which one would be the best to take. Apart from colors, they were all the same, although the figured said they weren't. Both from same box, one from two different ones? what did that mean? It must of been some sort of puzzle, and he was loathed to get it wrong.
With a sigh, he picked u A black box and a green box, and threw them over the edge.

Somehow, this situation felt off.
Maybe that was because of the shivers crawling up her spine, or the way that something was slithering around the room like some sort of creeper. Theta-two creeped closer to the walls, eyes never leaving the shadows as they leaped and moved. Despite the way her insides felt on fire, her skin singed with icy rigidness; everything felt one inch too far into detail in her mind. She could feel the beads of sweat forming at the nape of her neck as something not quite there spoke, hear the way her heart was in her ears. Theta-two's only saving grace at that point was the Delta who had followed her in, and without much thought, she slid over to him, the tips of her fingertips grazing along his arms. "Jumping islands and now this," She murmured next to him, dipping her head. She was nearing thankful for the masks they wore now, because behind it, she was probably making a face nearer to terror than to confidence, even though her tone spoke of nothing fearful at all. "Look what we've gotten ourselves into, yeah?"
The reminder of the chasm game dipped into her head and pulled faintly at her gut, threading emotions through her being that were quickly frozen before they could get far. Her hands squeezed loosely against themselves before dropping as the... whatever it was spoke again, slinking away to the bottom of the staircase. Huh. When did that get there? The instructions wrote themselves out carefully in her mind, even though she wasn't sure what throwing oddly colored items would even do. Well, the island just got stranger and stranger, didn't it? A soft hiss looped through her throat and escaped her lips, but when she looked up, there was light, and that was enough to sway her opinion. After all, the Reaper had told them to play by the rules... and maybe this was just a game in disguise. Words hissed in her head, words from people that were now dead. They'd told her to keep going, and that was all she could do. Keep going.
"Alright, alright, you've got me. I'll help you, but no more slithering." Without a backwards glance to the others, the girl slid over to the boxes, her strides long and flighty. Her eyes caught on yellow, black, red, and green. Her fingers hooked on one that was yellow, and one that was black. It reminded her of bumblebee's and hornets. And even though the sting itself wasn't pretty, the colors made for a nice palette now, didn't they? Mechanically, she took the steps up the staircase two at a time, reaching the top to stare skeptically up at the shattered roof and the sky beyond, listening as others added words onto their actions. Shrugging, she took flighty steps over the shards of glass, shouldering her way next to one of the Delta's who'd yelled something about Christmas. She laughed, giving him brownie points for humor in her head. Why? Perhaps to try and distill the curl of displeasure knotted in her stomach, and the adrenaline trying to steer her towards more, more, more.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, boyo, you've made enough of an entrance, give the ladies a turn, hm?" She chuckled and watched as other gas mask troopers threw their own two over the edge. Nearing something close to a pitcher's stance, she hurled her own, watching the yellow and black gleam before disappearing over the edge. "Sayonara ~" She chided caustically, watching them sail before settling back, the light brushing over her in cold warmth. She didn't bother to count the others that had cramped the upstairs, and she didn't move to go back down just yet. She simply sat still, waiting for something to happen. Waiting for the unexpected, because it always seemed to come.

[Zeta 9 enter from Abandoned Town game]
Just where the hell was she?
It looked like the beach but the sand was... purple? To one side were sheer cliffs, to other other the ocean stretched out endlessly. Zeta nine looked at the bright yellow door on the building in front of her. She could go wandering off on her own or enter. Both seemed like pretty stupid things to do but she entered the building anyway.
Inside it was dark and gloomy and pretty creepy. There were others in here, all sporting different colours. Plenty of other teams. There was also a figure in the middle. He was talking and sounded jitterish. This couldnt be one of those reaper guys, could it?
Might as well do as he asks. Giving the shadowy figure a curious look, the zeta selected a black and red box and brought them upstairs. Its was much brighter up here, but the floor was covered in glass. There was no roof, so perhaps thats where the glass came from? Anyways, she just had to throw the boxes out? Sounded simple enough. Grasping the two boxes, she brought her arm back and threw.

Eta VI just shrugged and got to her feet. Might as well just go with the flow, right?
She walked over to the boxes and picked one red item and one yellow item. She carefully climbed up the long set of stairs, ignoring the glass since it clearly hadn't hurt the people who'd gone up before her.
At the top, she gripped the two items tightly in her fist and threw them over the edge of the glass roof.
So... what now? What happened next? Just standing there like an idiot didn't exactly appeal... but since there were others there too, Eta VI felt a little less awkward. Besides, it was so bright up at the top, unlike the gloomy, purple-sand-covered floor.

(( Eta II is ENTERING from the Eta Base Camp, after completing the Chasm crossing game ))
Eta II opened his eyes and people started to fill his vision. It was dark, yes, but there were people here - a stark contrast from where he had come from. He recognised a surviving lot from the Chasm game.....and a pleasant surprise perhaps, a few other Eta too. Though it had been awhile since he had seen them.
Keeping quiet, Eta II observed the rest. It seems like they were all picking up boxes....specifically 2, going up and throwing them off. Eta II pondered such strange actions - exactly who had been issuing instructions for them (given such uniformity of their actions, one could only assume so). A strange shadowy figure was lurking about - Eta II concluded that that thing would be the source of it.
Nonetheless, Eta II conformed to those around him, picking up a yellow and green box, he headed upstairs and threw them.
After he had done so he headed towards Delta 12, quietly, and tapped him on the shoulder. "Let me help you" he whispered. "I do seem to owe you after all"

η X nodded to η VI when she landed, happy that she didn't get stuck behind. Though, he questioned her idea of "fun." He didn't like getting hit on the head all too much. Focusing on the strange shape, he listened to it speak, hoping it would help him; but what information it provided wasn't the least bit helpful or comforting. No escape? η X slumped and frowned. He wasn't supposed to be here. This wasn't fair! What if he failed the test? What was the test in the first place?
With nothing else to do, η X wasn't opposed to helping the figure. Maybe this would somehow find an exit -- or maybe it was the test. An easy one, but he didn't care. It would be a relief. He only hoped things ended well. "I guess all we can do is help," he said to η VI before moving to the boxes.
Reaching, η X grabbed an object from both the black and green boxes. Color wasn't too important to him, but they both seemed pretty neutral or something. He had no real logic behind it -- they were just nice. He looked at VI and shrugged before making his way to the top floor like instructed.
η X looked at the sky and then the edge of the glass. He didn't know what throwing the items would do or how it'd help, but he supposed he couldn't argue. It's not like he had a plan. Finally, η X readied for a nice throw and tossed the objects, barely making it over the edge of the glass with both of them.
