If I'm being honest?
Gundam SEED.
I had seen a few episodes of Gundam Wing before that, but not enough to fully know what it was.
Now I've watched nearly everything.

Wodandal If I'm being honest? Gundam SEED. I had seen a few episodes of Gundam Wing before that, but not enough to fully know what it was. Now I've watched nearly everything. Same with me. Wing was technically my first, but SEED was the one that really made me get into Gundam.
It's funny, now that I've seen most all of them, Wing is by far my favorite even if I didn't care much for it the first time I saw it as a little kid.

Gundam Seed, I feel is one of the best ways to introduce someone to the Gundam shows if they haven't seen any shows before. Because it follows a lot of the similar patterns that the other Gundams show's have, but also has its own twist. Plus its separate from all the others so they don't have to know about anything that came before it.

Wing! Totally and I'd say it's my favourite still. If a tad sad, though I never finished seed so I should probably refrain from deciding right now,

For me, there were two which I was able to watch side by side; After War Gundam X, and MS 08th Team.
While After War was not an entry in the Universal Century, the simple and realistic approach of MS 08th has always been something I treasured.

I haven't seen After War X (not sure why, just haven't yet). As for 8th MS Team I loved the more realistic approach it had, but felt towards the end it started to get a bit crazy and unrealistic. Also it would have been cool if they had more time to show off the team dynamic.

Hm... as a series a lot of time focused on Heero, and he's pretty focused on everything as a whole so I kinda lean to that side. However, after watching the Endless Waltz and a bunch of the OVA stuff it came with and reading the Episode Zero and background stories plus the Endless Waltz itself I can totally see why a friend of mine really liked Duo. He's a tragic character like Trowa, whom I also felt sympathy for but his personality and quirky behavior were amusing to watch, he tries to help people too. Not to say that they aren't all basically good characters, it just goes to show how complicated things can get with different perspectives.
