He listened eagerly as she gave him the tour, craning his neck to look all around at the structure.
"Oh I've slept on bits of fabric for years. Its not so bad really. Although a little bit of foam for a matress is nice." He was so excited about the building that he forgot to mention that she was apologising needlessly again.
"Do you want some help? With the lego's I mean. If you're finding then difficult to snap together maybe two of us would make it go faster."

Pink eyes widening, Galatea shook her head and flushed more. "I don't want to trouble you, Hadrian," she replied. "It's my own fault that I'm not done yet. But... I'm glad you like it. It isn't very pretty but it is solid." Her free hand reached out to touch the plastic as if to demonstrate.

Hadrian blinked. "It wouldn't be any trouble. I like building things." He tilted his head to the side to look at her with warm golden eyes, his forehead furrowed slightly, "Its not your fault. I mean, it takes a certain amount of time to do things. It just does. Just like it takes a certain amount of time to get to a place."

"And that is why we have schedules. It helps us plan better." But the tension in her shoulders had eased and Galatea again gave him one of her faint smiles. Then she tugged gently on his hand before releasing and stepping through the finished door. "It took me a while to calculate how much space I would need."
Judging by the generous size of the square, it looked like she was calculating for a feien-sized rave party with room to spare.

The fire feien ran a hand through the hair hanging in his face and smiled self conciously, "Er, well I've never really made schedules. I mean, not past the next thing I'm going to do I guess." He turned around in place looking at the space. "How did you figure out how much space you would need?" She must have a good idea of what she was going to put into her house then. He wondered what she needed the space for.

There was a long moment of hesitation at his question and then, slowly, Galatea turned back to look at him. She rubbed two fingers of her right hand against the inside of her left wrist, apparantly a sign that she was self-concious and a bit embarrassed. "... I guessed in the end," she admitted quietly.

Hadrian's smile twitched slightly, as he tried very hard not to laugh. He didn't want to hurt her feelings, but ... it made him feel better to know she had guessed. He didn't seem to be able to contain himself though, and ended up giggling while trying not to giggle, and in between sort of gasping and trying to talk, "I usually...just start with the guess!"

Galatea watched him struggling to bite back the laughter with wide eyes. The look on her face, had she been any other girl, could have been easily interpreted as hurt. This was Galatea, though, and it could be excused as confused and concerned since it so far seemed unlikely that she had any proper sense of self or ego which could be dinged. When she bit down on her lower lip, on the other hand, the image shifted a bit and there was a moment where he thought she was hurt.
Then the wry smile reappeared and she ducked her head. "I suppose I didn't plan so well, after all," she admitted sheepishly. "But I like to think that guests will visit and I will need the room." Half-lifting her head again, she regarded him from under her eyelashes. "You would come if I invite you, won't you?"

"Absolutely. Every time." You couldn't possibly doubt the truth in the statement, the way he smiled when he said it. "I'm sorry for laughing. Its just...I dunno...I was starting to think I was going about things the wrong way, when you said you spent so much time calculating. I was just sort of relieved to know I was totally wrong."
He tucked his hair behind his ear again - it was a bit of a nervous habit, "Anyway, I don't think there's anything wrong with having lots of space."
((and its nearly 4 am. I have GOT to get to bed! I'll be around tomorrow evening most likely heart ))

"I don't... Sleep very well if I'm cramped," Galatea admitted, eyes still half-lowered. "I have nightmares."
After admitting such private information, though, she again fidgeted in embarrassment. Not to mention, she was probably boring him out of his mind. What kind of hostess, what kind of... friend was she? Lifting her head and half-hugging herself, the dark-haired feien made herself meet his warm eyes straight-on. "I'm sorry," she murmured. "You don't particularly care about that silly stuff. Would you, um, like to see the blueprints? Or are you hungry?"

Golden eyes widened very slightly, with a fleeting bit of concern behind them. He was terribly distracted, by the idea that she had made blueprints, but he felt as though the first thing was more important. It took a small amount of effort to reign in his enthusiasm, and it leaked into his expression a little, making him look rather earnest. "No, I really do care about that silly stuff. That's the sort of thing friends care about." He even managed to pause slightly, before continuing, "And I would love to see the blueprints! I've never seen anyone elses, not that weren't in books as little pictures!"

Friends. The thought made her smile a bit, demure and pink-cheeked, for a moment before she boldly reached out to once more touch Hadrian's hand. "I keep them in my desk," she told him, unsure of what to say to either his concern or declaration and thus retreating to the secondary conversation of design. "Which is outside yet. Please follow me?" That said, she turned on her heel and padded back "outside" her house-in-progress.

"Ooh what do you use for a desk?!" He asked, following her. Galatea was probably thankful that Hadrian had such a brief attention span when something else sparkly caught his attention. He had only ever had his own bond's 'blueprints' to base his idea of them on. Her's were admittedly sloppy, but she did alot of measuring and writing numbers down on them...

"This." Pointing, Galatea indicated another matchbox balanced atop two small spools that had been emptied of their thread. A smaller one, more like a bobbin for a sewing machine than a proper spool, sat in front of the arrangement to serve as her chair. Flitting over, Galatea struggled awkwardly to get a grip on the edge of the inner box and then, hold firm, she pulled hard and it slid out easily. Tucked within were sheets of paper covered with neat, precise pictures and words. A little piece of flannel was wrapped into a cylinder beside them - her version of a pencil case for her precious graphite sticks.
Reaching inside, she lifted out the first few sheets of paper and set them on top of the matchbox. Then she moved to offer him the "chair". "Would you like to sit down, si - Hadrian?"

"Sure...the matchbox is a really neat idea for a drawer!" The bobbin was more like a pillow on the floor to the taller adult, but he settled down on it anyway, crossing his feet at the ankles in front of him. Sitting he was a little shorter then Galatea, and though a bit tall for the desk, he could look at the drawings easily. They were very like the map she had sent him, perfect and precise with ruler straight lines. "Oh wow! Did you count out the lego blocks and everything? These are awesome!" He looked through the sheets of paper happily, forgetting to keep his sentences from stumbling into one another as he spoke. "Oh and did you know you can get those pencil sticks in colors? At least, red and blue anyway."
