Apparently despite Deli's intentions on only dozing, he had actually nodded off for a bit. The sudden exchange between the three (especially with that meaning someone else was around) jolted him into an upright position, flailing slightly. "N-No fair, sneaking's not cool!" he blurted out before thinking.
Oh. Well. Right. Survival tactics, doofus.
His brain took a few seconds register exactly what was going on: and boy was he happy despite the snippy words going on between the girls. "Thea!" he exclaimed in palpable relief, though he found himself far too tired and comfortable in the sand to get up and hug her himself. "Glad you could join the pillow party!" He motioned her to take a seat in the sand with them, and went about to diffuse the situation.
"Thea, this is Delta 5, one of the chicks who kinda stuck with me before the Cove mess. 5, this be Theta 7 - we call her Thea."
Wait, didn't he already somewhat introduce her before she actually got on the scene? Meh . . .
"And for you, you could be . . . DVD!" 8D
Theta's thinking:
Delta Five. Delta V. D...V.....DVD!

"Pea shooter?!" Thea dropped her weapon to wave it around angrily, shoving it in the general direction of the girl. "I KILLED someone with this!" At the mention of Deli the girl paused, narrowing her eyebrows uselessly before pocketing her weapon. "Theta-1. Or Thea. Nice to sort of meet you." Whatever, she had been looking for the boys and not some random girl. Delta 5 would have to prove herself now that she had insulted Thea's weapon as such, but now was not the time for that. Instead Thea turned and brushed past the girl to hug Thev before moving on to Deli, who Thea sat down beside to hug.
"DVD? HA HA!" For the first time during this entire trip Thea let out a true and sincere laugh. "Yup. You're name is DVD." Served her right for being so rude. Thea was only reacting as was expected on this island. "Its ok Deli. I thought you were waiting for me when I turned to use my kit. Oh! We have them back, by the way. I'm all healed now!" Quickly she unwrapped the armor on her arm to show case a peachy and injury free arm. It was only a flash of skin before she wrapped it back up, not trusting this island to let her be unharmed for long. "But thanks for holding my hand in any event." Behind the mask she was smiling at him, but he couldn't see it, so she just had to make her voice extra sugary for it.
"So do you guys want a nap? I took one between here and the Lighthouse. That's why it took me so long to get here. I'll keep watch though..."

"Don't care if you've killed a whole army with that thing, stop waving it around in my direction." Delta 5 growled back, quickly getting annoyed with the attitude and uppity crap. This was going to get them no where and she honestly didn't give a damn what had happened. If this was how things were going to be then maybe she was just better off by herself for the time being, or hell, even dead. Obviously they all wanted to survive... it was a given. But that didn't mean that it made everyone act like a jackass and murder the first people you came along just because. Stupid little twit needed to clear the fog out of her goggles.
Though the nicknames they were coming up with really weren't helping her mood. If that was the best they could do it was a sad state of things indeed, but it's not as if she had much better in mind. The effort was appreciated, but it was becoming very obvious that she wasn't wanted here, so why try to become involved any more than she had to? "Delta 5 is fine. Really. It's not like it matters anyways." 5 replied, going over and sitting herself down on the sand to stare out at the water to think some things over. If they wanted her help, she had offered. Otherwise it was seeming very pointless to try if all that was going to happen was wall after wall of hostility and attitude was going to pop up.
She didn't have much time left to get herself a pendant, and with no ideas where to even begin looking, things were seeming pretty grim. Her only hope right now was that she managed to be one of the few others that survived... and being alone might be the best venue depending what happened here. The fog was seeming more appealing to Delta 5 than to deal with a group of people possibly.

He flinched a bit at the interaction between Thea and Delta Five and decided to just let the nickname drop for now. It wasn't going to get them anywhere if everyone was in a sour mood.
Honestly Theta Seven didn't mean to make the new person feel bad. He didn't trust her yet but he didn't mean to make her upset. He gave Thea a brief awkward hug and let her go hug onto Deli as well. He shifted to stand up feeling a heavy and weary for a few moments before he wandered toward Delta Five with quiet steps, "You gotta admit that everyone's a bit crazy around here...For no reason someone can reach out and stab you in the back with very little reason for it. We're all trying to find our way out...Sorry about anything I said or did."
He could tell she was upset by body posture alone.
"I'm willin' to work with you if you're willin' to work with us too...Gainin' trust goes both ways right?" Theta Seven tried to talk in a quiet calm tone. Scaring her off into the fog wasn't going to help anyone. "I'd love to help you out of here with us if at all possible." Theta Seven was sincere as he said all this. "If you don't want a 'nickname' that's perfectly fine...It just...It helps us feel like we're ... not completely lost..."
Pause.
He blushed a bit under his mask, "Not because you're lost without a nickname! Just...it helps us that's all, for all I know it'd just make things worse for you because I'm not you and ..." another pause as he pushed at the sand with his boot, "I'll shut up now." Theta Seven muttered humbly.

"Holdin' your hand? Nah, that was Thev's job," Deli responded, though he was more than happy to hug her regardless. "But that's great! Now we don't have to be half as worried."
Of course, good ol' Deli didn't notice the undertow of cattiness going on between the girls, because . . . he didn't notice? Didn't acknowledge it? Didn't want to see more fighting without meaning? Meh . . . His head hurt, and he was sitting down for the first time in what felt like ages among friends. Why ruin it?
"Girls, please . . . Can we just pull a cease-fire out for a few minutes?" Deli asked. "I would nap, really, but if you two are gonna do a cat fight without being able to take that armor off, I'm not up for letting it go on."
Yes. Yes he did just say that to joke.

It surprised Delta 5 a little at hearing footsteps approaching her... giving a little glance up at Theta Seven before looking back out over the water again, not wanting him to think she was ignoring him. She hadn't meant to make anyone feel awkward but there was only so much one person could stand sometimes.
"Yeah... I get it. I've seen people turning on each other over those pendants, I understand what can happen." She paused for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing on. "Ya know, you all have each other though, despite whatever happened there in the cove. I've been playing it safe the whole time... being too damn scared after watching you and Deli disappear. First it was you two and then I take a nap, somehow a few days go by and I'm ditched by the last group of people I tried to team up with. So... between being left alone and feeling like my life is slipping through my fingers as day 5 comes around... yeah..."
Sure, part of it had been her own fault, but at the same time Delta 5 wasn't sure what else to do right now. But it did make her feel a bit better that it seemed they weren't completely against trying to work together and include her some.
"I'm willing to work with you all and maybe you'll come to realize I'm not out to be attacking people. And... I'll try to do better at keeping the snippiness under control." Delta 5 replied, seeming to relax a little bit the more they talked. If they were willing to open up a bit and give her a chance well she wasn't going to turn that down. "Hey, no... the nickname thing makes sense. I've just never had a reason to give myself a name since I really just do feel lost... so why give a name to something that wouldn't have been missed?" Not wanting to sound depressing or anything, but that was honestly how it had seemed. "Maybe something will stick after awhile, ya never know."
Deli's comment however made her laugh a little, shaking her head a bit while standing up and dusting the sand off of her armor. "Well hey, you can bet I'd be charging you through the nose if we could. It's not just anyone that gets to eye all this up without a price." she joked right back, trying to put herself in a better state of mind. This wasn't the end. There was still one more day and who knew what else after that. She wasn't out of the running completely.

"Eh. I can handle snippy," Deli said with a small shrug. "After all, Davii cursed the hell out of my name back at the co-"
And then he stopped. Even as a jokester, he realized that was a biiiiit too soon and close to home. His voice faltered, and then he renewed its strength and started a different topic.
"So! You want in on the group, eh? How's about this." He had felt his phone vibrate and surmised, since it wasn't a new day yet, that it was yet another task opportunity being offered. Sighing, he whipped it out and read the new message: almost identical to the one they had all ignored earlier.
Was it the same? Hmm . . . Maybe it would keep bothering them until enough people arrived.
"You join us in this task and help watch our backs, whatever it means doing. We survive, you're officially in and you'll get Deli hugs. Who knows, maybe even a pendant too."
Slowly he slid his arm out of Thea's grasp and responded to the text, turning to his companions with an invisible grin.
"What's the point in waiting after all? I'm all rested up, so let's do this!"
And then Deli disappeared.

"Everyone wants to live, Delta Five, everyone...Those pendants mean lives at least they do right now, who knows when the rules might change and what might happen because of that." He stretched his arms over his head and sighed a bit with the effort of stretching before he moved a bit further away feeling happy that he seemed to have patched up the wound that was formed due to the other one being new to the group, "Deva, I'll call you Deva," he shrugged a bit as he laid the nickname on her to be accepted or denied.
The 'glorified beeper' came to life again and he read it with a hidden raised brow and then looked over at Delta Five, "Come if you can, we gotta take our chances as best we can, right? This might be your chance when you get a pendant and ... We'll try to help." He chuckled a bit at Deli's words.
He looked toward Thea, "You comin'?" He'd already made his mind up much like Deli had apparently made his mind up and already hit the button.
With a small wave he was suddenly gone.

The phone... always with the damned phone. Giving a little sigh Delta 5 flipped it open and looked at the message. Another test. How many were even left at this point...? Were there enough left to make it through until the last day...? Though all that was cut short as Deli's voice rang out.
"Alright, you've got a deal then. I'll go with you and do whatever I can to help... scouts honor." This was it. Time to put aside her fear of whatever what on the other end of these phones and prove what she was worth. Time to come out of hiding and give this her best shot before it was too late and things passed her by without even trying.
"Hmm... Deva.... I like it. Lets make it official then when we make it out of there." Grinning a bit as she pressed the button, eye closed even though no one could see... still feeling scared as to what was on the other end of the line.

They had all gone. They hadn't even given her a chance to argue that they should all stay and be careful together. To not go running blindly into messes. They had pendants for goodness' sake! That had to be worth SOMETHING on this island. But apparently it wasn't and Thea was left sitting there on the beach all alone. She had contemplated (before they had all left of course) of going over to the girl and making amends for threatening her, but then she was up and gone too. Maybe it was better that way because really. Theta-1 had started this alone and she wanted to finish it alone. Less people to weigh her down and make her trip. But still... It was lonely. And companionship, however heavy to one's survival rate, was still someone to talk to. Someone to sit on a lonely and foggy beach with and listen to the roar of the unseen ocean.
Thankfully, after days and days of just sitting and trying to stay safe, a final text arrived. Theta-1 (she had reverted back to her original and now seemingly only name since she was alone) took a deep breath and hit the button her phone that would send her flying to her possible doom. But she had a pendant. Obviously she'd make it out! Right? Right...
