Well its been a couple of weeks since I brought home the child from D-Corp. His name is Lian and at first I didn't think a little panda child would be so difficult to keep track of.
Well at first he was rather shy and hid behind a peice of furniture everytime I turned to look at him. He only came out when it was time to eat or take a nap. Now that I think about it, I wish that could have lasted more then a couple of days.
After he'd had gotten use to me and his new home he started climbing on everything. Now I did child proof the house like I was suppose to but how are you suppose to child proof a house where the toddler can even reach the high shelves? Ugh, I thought this was going to be easy. I thought pandas where suppose to sleep alot.
Well I went out and bought more locks cor the cabinets leaving a few unlocked and empty for him to play in since they facinated him so much. I have no idea how I'll keep him off the banisters on the stair case though. I wish- hold on a moment.
...
Sorry about that I just caught him rearanging my DVDs with my PS2 games. I can't wait till he grows out of this stage where everything of mine is intersting. Well he does stay put when we watch a movie together or if I play the PS2. I've offered to let him play but he's just as content to watch. Though when he's older i'll probably won't beable to seperate him from it.
Well he maybe a bit of a trouble maker but he's still intersting to have around.
Oh yea, the day I managed to keep pants on him, we went and visited another D-Corp child. Lian really hit it off with the little newt boy, Chath. Hopefully they can vist each other again.

A child is expected to know certain things at certain ages. In order to obtain rights to their Dragon(egg), they must prove they can meet these requirements. The following sheet is for your child to fill out, with mild help from their guardian, then sent back to D-corp. (PM ot the mule) Also any changes, even minor such as haircuts, should be reported to the D-corp to be logged and filed. Thankyou, The Boss.

Well its been almost two months since I've written here, better catch up on everything thats happened.
Lians stopped climbing on everything since we stop by the park alot now. He also will go by himself to the neighborhood playground from time to time. I generally don't have to force him to go outside and play but sometimes he does latch onto the PS2 from time to time.
Lian's also run into a few of the other D-Corp children. So far there haven't been any negative interactions with any of them, he just mutters things about monsters now is all. Oh yea, we stopped by Jay and Chath's house for that promissed playdate we made the first time we met. They had a fun time dressing up as clowns, as long as Lian doesn't grow up to be one I don't care. heh.
He had gotten a slight cold a couple of weeks ago. Lian got over it fairly quickly but I stopped by D-Corp to make sure everything was okay. That ended in a long interaction with the chameleon girl and her guardian.
Last weekend I was working on my bike and Lian came out to watch. I hope he's not planing on driving it anytime soon. If he wants extreme i'll get him a skate board. Ah well thats all I can think of, till next time I guess.

The afternoon sun glazed the fuzzy blue carpet in the room. Lian had gotten his own room finally now that Sciz was gone fixing it up. The walls were the color that would be described as wet cement. Dark blue carpet that was still shedding carpet lint all over any light colored object. All the furniture was black with the occasional blue accent. Sciz had even gotten him a hammock hanging from the ceiling in the colors matching his room.
Lian was draped half off the said hammock with a blanket that was mostly on the floor. He rubbed his eyes and glanced over at the clock sitting on his dresser. Half pass two. He looked over at the window and blinked slowly then back at the clock. It was that late wasn't it?
"I'm leaving you here if you're not ready by three." His guardian's voice called sounding slightly distracted followed by a subwoofer induced clattering of the windows. His father was playing who knows what on PS2 with the surround sound on. Its a wonder the neighbors haven't formed a mob to evict him out of his house yet.
He slid out of the hammock bringing the rest of the blankets with him. Lian sighed and balled them up and stuck them back on the bed. Stumbling over to the dresser he pulled the drawer open and reached in. After fumbling around he pulled out a black under shirt with a big white and blue shirt with a Chinese dragon on it. Yep that matched with the black and blue accented pants on the hamper. After grabbing some underwear and socks he slunk off to the bathroom.
He shut the door behind him and threw the clothes on the corner of the sink. He looked at the towel on the floor, picking it up and inspecting it. Yep this was still good and flung it on the bar haphazardly. The bathroom was a mess but not unsanitary, that tended to happen when a kid gets their own bathroom too.
~~~
Lian threw his pajamas in the room and closed the door after his shower. He'd pick them up when they got back. He thumped down the stairs and jumped off the second to last stair to make an extra big thump.
"Lian don't do that." Sciz muttered rounding the corner from the kitchen with a slip of paper in hand.
"I'm ready lets goooo." Lian went to open the front door.
"You're not going anywhere without shoes. Wouldn't want the stores throwing you out now would you."
"Only if the catch me." Lian hopped out the door with one shoe on and the other in hand trying to get it on his foot. Sciz had walked up to the bike and gotten his helmet on and was waiting for Lian.
"Make sure your helmet's on tight and tuck your tail in this time."
"Yea yea yea"
~~~
They had gone up to the mall and were picking up a few things. The nice thing about Gaia, is that everyone was so different, that no one would look twice at a bright orange and black kid with a big fuzzy tail. They walked into the electronic store. Sciz pointed over to the games section.
"Okay pick out some games you want, even ones we already have if you want. They're going to be yours." He turned to step up to the counter to talk to the man who had the keys.
"What... uh okay." Lian didn't think that his dad had really meant it when he kept griping about that he hogged the PS2 all the time. He went over and pulled a couple out and went back over to his guardian. By then a blue box and another smaller package and some movies where stacked on the counter. "Here." he placed up on the glass counter. Lian watched them exchange the small plastic rectangle and shove the boxes into a bag. The man behind the counter handed the bag over to Sciz along with a strip of paper.
"Ready for the next store?" Sciz grinned.
"Yea. Can we set it up when we get back home?"
"No, we're going to put it in the closet. Of course." Sciz rolled his eyes and laughed.
They walked out of the store and started heading to the other side. Lian looked at the box through the white plastic bag dangling from Sciz' hand. Sciz never got him anything fun before. Most of the time it was just books or clothes.
Well they did get more books that day. Lian wasn't all that interested but he did at least look at the books. He was more interested in the ones Sciz was getting for himself. He'd just have to grab them off the shelf later and read them even if they're weren't any pictures.
"Hey you hungry?" Sciz sat the bags down by a table in the food court.
"Yea I want a chicken sandwich and some fries. Oh and a large soda." Lian sat down next to the bags.
"You'll get a small and we'll share the fries. Stay here I'll be right back." Sciz returned and plopped down on the chair. "Just one more stop here and then I have to order something at the hardware store, okay?"
"Mm okay" Lian muttered with a mouth full of the sandwich, pondering what else they had to get today.
After the late lunch they started heading towards a sports equipment store. Why were they going to a sports store, Sciz certainly didn't do sports and Lian didn't really care for anything other then his defense classes. He opened his mouth to ask but then closed it again, realizing that asking would probably just result in, 'you'll see when we get there'. They weaved through the store racks and displays till getting towards the back. Sciz started to talk to one of the employees and pointed at Lian once during the conversation. Lian wasn't really paying attention. He wanted to go home and play the PS2.
"Okay we're done now, lets go. I'll just order the other thing over the phone." Sciz lead Lian back out to the motorcycle. And put the stuff they bought into the leather saddlebags on the side of the motorcycle. Lian climbed on and held on.
"... Thank you."
"We'll just call it a really early birthday present and be even okay."
" does this mean I have to get a fathers day present?"
"Tch"

It was just another rainy spring day. Lian was inside reading one of his fathers books he had pulled from the house's library. He had finished off the games he had both a couple months ago and didn't really feel like replaying them. Chath was busy and couldn't come out to play so books where his last resort.
"I don't think you're old enough for that book yet." Sciz commented as he walked by the couch Lian had slumped on. He had stepped inside from the garage.They had gotten a package the other day and he had taken it directly to the garage. Lian thought it was another motorcycle part.
"But the stuff you read is alot more intersting then the books you get me." Lian flipped the page and glance up to see Sciz wiping his hands on a rag. Yea it must have been another part.
"The books I read have things that aren't sutible for your age."
"What you mean sex?"
"YES." Sciz moved to take the book from him.
"But they talked about that stuff in school, I skip over the lovey stuff anyways. Its gross." Lian pulled the book away from his hands.
"lksajhdf Just ask next time."
"I thought you'd be more concerned of the word-"
"You finish that..." Lian closed his mouth. "Yea thats what I thought. Actually come here. I got something for you to do outside." Sciz went back into the garage. Lian dog eared the page and followed behind him. Sciz shoved a board into his hands as soon as he entered.
"Here its a sport that doesn't require running. The helmet and pads are on the bench. You can practice inside the garage when it rains." He patted Lian's head and talked back into the house. "If you want I can get you lessons too." Lian looked at the skateboard. Well atleast it was something intersting to do.

Well this is my first entry in a journal ever. Sciz thought I'd be a good idea to get me one. Not exactly sure what I'm suppose to write in it anyways.
Er, well earlier in the month i took my first test in Krav. I'll actually get to learn some defensive moves, or I think thats what the teacher said. I really want to know how to attack but he said it was for the advance students and that it was a differnt class. Thats not fair at all. No more book learning though, I get enough of that at school.
For an early birthday present Sciz got me my own PS2. I think he was just tired of having to share one. Hehe. He also got me a skateboard. Not sure why though, guess he wanted me to go outside more. Been trying to learn how to balance on it right and I have a scrape to prove it.
Oh yesterday I was outside exploring the neighborhood on my board and got the coolest cut when I feel. Sciz got upset over it but I think it'll be a good battle scar.
Well I have to go. Wanna read that book Sciz just finished. I hope it doesn't have anything lovey in it. thats really gross.

The house was noisier then it usually was in the afternoon. The sounds of a large car door opening and shutting followed buy what sounded like a garage door being rolled up had started it all. Lian walked up to his window and peered out. There was a big green moving truck outside with the name of the company sprawled across it in yellow. It was also raining out and pretty heavily too. Just one of those summer heat thunderstorms that popup. Maybe it'd be cool enough outside to skateboard some more afterwards.
Lian's tail twitched as he pulled back from his window. There was something odd about that moving truck. Sciz hadn't bought any more furniture that he had known about. Not that it was even the right kind of truck to bring that kind of item to their house. He heard the front door open and the sounds of a couple of men shuffling across the hardwood floor. Now there were people in the house bringing in whatever that was in the truck.
This had claimed Lian's curiosity as he moved to the door to peek at what was going on. He went to the banister to lean over dangerously and look down at the men moving the stuff into the house. He saw two men; one rather large and gruff looking and the other looked barely twenty-five. They were currently carrying in a large black couch covered in wet plastic and having a bit of trouble with it.
"Where do you want it?" The older one said sounding slightly annoyed, but not at Sciz who was standing off to the side. His dad pointed off to a room on the side.
"In there, just place it against the wall, I can move it later." The two men grunted as the continued moving and disappearing into the room Sciz had pointed out. Lian slid down the banister and hopped down the rest of the stairs onto the floor. He peered out the front door at the truck who's backend stood open and filled with furniture. There was enough furniture to fill a house in there, well not their house at least, maybe a small condo or something. He scuttled out of the way as the two men came back empty handed and headed out the door to get some other heavy object.
"Hey why are we getting more furniture?" Lian inquired to his 'father' while nimbly getting out of the way of the movers again.
"Hmm?" Sciz looked around before realizing it was Lian who asked the question. "I though I told you. "
"Told me what? I don't remember anything about more furniture. Don't we have enough?"
Sciz visibly sighed. "We're not getting more furniture, my brother is moving in with us."
"YOU HAVE A BROTHER?" he says immediately after without missing a beat.
"YES." Sciz looked like he was about ready to kick him, before remembering hitting children violently was bad. "I'm not allowed to have siblings?"
"I didn't think old people had brothers and sisters." he seemed to have not noticed the look Sciz had just given him.
" ... well we do, just like you youngins. " Sciz had looked like he was going to hit him again but moved to help the movers with something instead. "Well be nice to your uncle, he'll be coming tomorrow with all his cats too."
"OH you meant uncle Eno was moving in I thoug-" Lian was cut off by his father's glare. He grinned and run back up the stairs back to his room before Sciz could come after him. Maybe today wasn't a good day to go outside. He decided it'd be better to stay in his room instead.

I actually have something important to write down for once. My older brother is moving into the house today. His job was relocated into the area and so I offered on of the free rooms in my house for him to stay in. He seemed a little reluctant at first but i guess that happens especially if you're trying ot make it on your own.
Lian doesn't seem to be too effected that theres going to be someone else living in the house with us. I guess we'll see how that goes after a week or so. Hopefully they'll atleast beable to tolerate each other. I don't think I could stand to have them fighting with each other.
Speaking of Lian, he's been getting more interested in my romance novels. I've been thinking about it for awhile but I really don't want to givve him the talk. Well I guess every parent doesn't like thinking about that but he is getting close to that age. Maybe Eno can help me out... or I can make him do it. Nah that wouldn't go over to well with Lian would it? I could let the schools do it, thats what they're there for right? I dunno..
Ugh where am I going to put all those damn litter boxes for all those cats Eno has too. I can under stand one or two, but i think twenty is a bit much. No wonder he couldn't afford an apartment himself...

Lian didn't know anyone could grow so tall. No tall wasn't the right word for him, giant was more approrate. Tall people occasionaly bumped their heads on door frames and low hanging objects. Only giants had to bend over to get through standard sized door frames. That longer then usual bed should have been a hint to him.
The week had not gone by very well in their home. The first impression with Eno and Lian had backfired. The boy had only seen pictures of his 'uncle' but never next to anyone for size comparison and there was good reason. Eno probably never ment to intimidate him, but thats hard to do being as tall as he is. Lian shuffled behind objects when ever his uncle was in the room or near by. Eno didn't seem to mind, but he was probably use to it, or the long stares people would give him.
Later in the week things had calmed down, well in away it did. Lian would stop hiding and would instead would discreately leave a room and possibly give a short clipped smile to his uncle in passing. Any conversation with him and his uncle would be short and clipped with Lian leaving shortly after it was over. Eno had stayed mostly in his room after he had gotten settled, only seeing him at the times he wanted something for the fride or had to go out for something.
On a hot afternoon while Eno had gone out for who knows what, Sciz cornered Lian in his room. The panda had been playing on his PS2 on his one day off in the month from schooling. Sciz rapped lightly on the wood dorr frame. Lian glanced up for a moment but looked away when he saw the expression on his fathers face.
"Eh yes?"
"Can I come in?" Sciz had alread walked in and was moving to sit on Lian's desk chair. Great a talk, and the boy had a pretty good guess about what it was.
"Do you need something?" He kept playing the game not bothering to turn around.
"Do you not like your uncle? You don't seem to care to be in his presence in the short time he's ever around."
"..." Great its exactly as he had predicted. Theres nothing wrong with hs uncle its just that.. well he didn't know actually. Maybe he was just being shy.
"Ah well give him a bit longer, he won't bite you but he doesn't really know how to deal with kids." Sciz had stood back up and ruffled the kid's hair as he left. "try to find something you both like, maybe he'll be easier to talk to then." with that Sciz had dissappeared down the stairs.
Well thats great, how am I suppose to find something in common with him, Lian thought. He crushed the buttons on the controller in a bit of anger. He didn't want some one else in the house. It had just been him and his dad, why should that change. It was much nicer before. No Lian wasn't shy, there was an intrder in the house, and it was a giant.

Sciz knocked on the door to the red panda's room. It was early enough that he should be up and awake. He popped the door open to find the boy half in his pajamas and half in his clothes for the day.
"We need to get going, just grab breakfast off the table and come outside when you're ready."
"Do I have to go?" Lian slipped on his shirt. Something light weight and cool. It was going to be another hot day.
"Yes, shots keep you from getting horrible diseases now lets go. The doctor won't wait on your forever." Sciz grabbed him and draged him out the door now that he was dressed. After a slight mess in the kitchen and Eno giving them glares for being so noisy in the morning the headed out to Sciz's bike.
---
"You're not going to cry when you get your shots are you?"
"What!? No."
"AH I forgot, tough guy."
"You're being especially mean today."
"I don't like mornings much."

Chath was walking Keir past Lian's home, dragging the dragon along a wrapped parcel in his hands. It wasn't large but he hoped his friend would like the gift. He had forgotten to give it to him when Lian was over the last time, and he hadn't seen his pal since then.
Seeing the home around the bend he hurried up, nearly dragging Keir with him. Coming to the front door he placed the gift on the door step and taking a note out from his pocket attatched it firmly to the small parcel and then rang the door bell and hurried off. He was too embaressed by what his friend may say about the gift. It was unusually sparkley.
Note Hey Lian! Sorry for this late gift, but I hope you like having my two favorite marbles joined together to make a trinket...thingy..yah. Hahaha. It reminded me of the rock necklace you gave me. I hope it isn't too heavy. We need to get together sometime soon! Chath.

There was a ring at the door bell, and while Sciz was much closer to the front door, he didn't seem to want to move from his spot ont he couch. He just sat there and read. It was always obvious when he knew who was at the door. Especially if it was one of his lady friends.
"Alright fine I'll get it. You're so lazy sometimes." Lian scooted off his chair and made his way over to the door. Hopefully no one was waiting outside, or they'd have been there for a while. Lian slid the bolt lock over and poped open the door. He was ready to appologize to whoever was outside at the door, but there wasn't anyone. He frowned for a moment and looked down suddenly noticing the small package. Lian scooped it up and hurried inside.
He read the note then opened the parcel. He grinned and held it up. "hey Dad you got a chain thick enough for this?"
"No but we can go to the store and get one, who's it from?" Sciz slammed his book shut and stood up. If they didn't go now the boy would whine about it for a while.
""Its frm Chath! We'll match now."

Quote: So you guys want an update huh? Lian's let his hair grow out a bit. He's got bangs now that mostly part to either side with a few stragglers inbetween. The longest bit just barely touches his jaw line. Its still short and spikey in the back. I hope this is just a phase, its really annoying to keep this hair cut like this. Clothing wise, he's taken to liking to black street pants alot. I suppose thats because he skateboards alot, but maybe he just thinks they look cool. I hope hes not hinting he wants to ride my motorcycle still. Anyways, he really likes those sleeveless t-shirt hoodies they make. His favorite one is a dark grey one with an adic green design on it, with an asian dragon on it. Lian most just prefers light weight clothing if he can, he stays plenty war with his thick fur. Ah right, he also wears some fingerless gloves from time to time. I wonder if this street punk thing is just a phase. -Sciz
