One by one, more armored figures began to arrive at the run-down building. She held on to Twelve's hand tightly as he stepped slightly forward. Her eyes widened in both surprise and fear as the hooded figure appeared. A game?
"I don't know..." she replied to Twelve. She should have realized that this island had magic, after the horse from before, but her voice was hushed in disbelief as floating islands began to appear in the dark crevice. But to get the pendant, there was no choice but to stay.

[sorry for double post, the post order instructions weren't up when I began my last post]
Her heartbeat becoming quicker from nervousness, Delta 6 turned to Twelve. "Good luck." She tried to put on a cheerful smile, and tried to believe that they would make it through. Each island could hold two people... and there weren't so many here.
Taking a deep breath, she slowly let go of Twelve's hand. As their fingers slid apart, she leapt forward and moved from island to island until landing five steps away.

- The only time limit is 24 hours. If you haven't taken your turn within 24 hours, you will automatically 'fall' off your island.If you can post quicker, awesome. But there are no penalties unless you hit the 24 hour mark. If you know you're going to be offline for some time, you can also PM me ahead of time and arrange for a GMed "xxx stays where they are" post in your stead. EDIT: Also, if your roll takes you past a shortcut, please advise if you have taken it or not. Just for my derpness XD;;

Twelve did not particularly like this hooded figure. Was he implying that people should push each other off the islands? He admitted that they were all playing a survival game, but he still didn’t like it. Pessimistic, Twelve moodily grumbled to himself. “Hint. Right.”
Six began to make the first move and Twelve worriedly watched, but did not resist when she slowly released his hand. She jumped and managed to land on an island. He breathed a sigh of relief, a hand over his chest. Figuring that he should quickly follow, he took a few steps back for a running start and leapt.

Theta-two was beginning to wonder just what kind of mind was hidden under that unbelievably long, hooded cloak. His games were both cruel and challenging, and fun and unbelievably exhilarating at the same time. And it was terrible, terribly sad that she was giving him credit for being creative at this time, since she was torn between admiring his wit and originality from afar, while hating his schemes and way with words from up close. Twisting her hands, she looked to Bones and Kirk, a smile twisting under the mask. "Good luck, and don't fall off." She said with a slight tease in her tone. A witty grin in her words. "Lets hope I was a tightrope walker in my past life, huh, boys? High above the ground, fearless and all." And with that, she turned, and moved forward, because she decided it was her turn to go.
One... two... three. And so she decided to move, following the other two along, wondering privately to herself, just how would this end? Moving, she took a leap of faith, and crossed her fingers to hit solid ground. Quickly enough, she began to think about jumping again.

Beta Five was starting to think he was in a very, very bad situation. For one thing, he had to jump from moving, floating island to moving, floating island over an endless black chasm that could quite possibly cause mutilation, injury, or even death. And for another thing -
Nope, that was it, actually. Jump the island, land, or miss - and Beta Five did not want to miss. Judging from just how long across the chasm it was, he lifted a hand up, rubbing the back of his neck with a gloved hand. It itched, but he ignored it.
"All right, well..." Beta Five gave a resigned sigh. He reached a hand to press against his lower back, stretching himself out, before gritting his teeth, taking a few steps back, and then propelling himself forward in a running leap.
Sadly, he only made it to all of the first island before he wobbled, nearly toppling over, his feet sliding hastily into place to stop himself at the last second.
It's going to be a REALLY long trip.

Zeta Seven watches as how the ground fell out before them. The first missstep will be a doozy. It was ingenious really, The games that this particular figure had was methodical, subtle. Certainly less direct than "One of you jerkwads has to die" that the giant pony told them. Kudos to him. "Good luck to you guys as well, and Theta, don't forget, alright?" he had to make sure they played it right this time. Follow the rules.
He had to take a moment to breathe, focus. no worries, nor dwelling. Just shake it out and go. "Well then, bonzai!" And took his leap of faith into whatever may be. The stones stood up to the weight from his frame quite well as he made swift moves to catch up to Spock. "Here we are again, miss me sweetheart?"

Zeta One was not prepared to have to go. But she had to.
Well then, it was a very good thing she wasn't scared of heights. She took a few steps back and took her first leap. She came one the first gap and decided that maybe, just maybe, she should take it.
So she did.

And somehow One did not meet her doom at the bottom of the pit. Where ever the bottom of the pit was.
She wobbled on the rock, her momentum carrying her another two before she settled down. One sank into a sitting position, just in case.
"Okay then..." she said to herself, looking around.

((Eta V entering from the travel thread!))
Already, Eta V was feeling sick to his stomach with nervous, trying to hold of a panic attack. He may have wanted to find something out...but this? this wasn't what he had in mind...
Jumping across chasms onto small floating rocks made for a very dangerous game indeed. Not to mention that there were plenty other people here, all trying for a pendant. There was no telling what would happen once he started, and inwardly he was sure people woudl try to push him off.
Plus, there was the added fact that he was completely and utterly Late. Stupid paths that took forever to get you anywhere..
Swallowing his panic, Eta V roused up his courage and took a running leap

Bones was happy to see them, but scowled as the hooded figure gave up the rules to this cryptic game. He glanced down the pit and took in a deep breath. At least I'm not a red shirt. He smiled again and looked back to those he had grown close to jump the gaps. Mind the Gap. The words rang loud as he moved to the edge. It seemed simple enough, but never with this crowd.
It would be a safe assumption that even landing would make him slip off. "Guess you only live once." And with that he lifted a foot and jumped forward and got to a good cycle. Lean back, push forward and leap, lean back, push forward and... LEAP! He landed steadily next to another and glanced at him with accusing eyes. Would he push him. "Hey." He uttered, quietly, looking forward to those he knew. They were ahead for now, it put his mind at ease to see them there, even if they were far off.
Traipsing close to the edge, Bones glanced into the abyss of darkness. Tentatively, he moved back, but made sure not to touch his fellow platform jumper out of fear of spooking him into an assault. It was a precarious situation at best, but that couldn't be helped given the constructs of the game at hand. He stood rigid and straight, hoping the next person to leap wouldn't end up huddling between him and his platform buddy, begging for room on the hovering deathtrap.

[Entering from traveling thread (Lighthouse)]
Theta Six it seemed had walked right into some sort of game and she shook her head. It was much better than the beast they had to fight and it seemed a pendant was still up for grabs. Theta six could not help, but to smile, though as she watched the others jump her smile faded.
Why so much physical activity? She was tired from all the walking, running, fighting? All of this for days. She sighed lightly squaring her shoulders ready for her turn.
Backing up so took a running leap and jumped.

[Taking shortcut ... attempting ... if this is right, if not just ignore it]
To many people all seemed to be gather and one place and Theta Six, felt she did not really wish to be one of. A, she did not want to push to a maybe painful death or at least a painful landing. B, she felt was worth the chance despite her tiredness that she might all. If she made it ahead of all the other, than the better for her.
Turning she leapt.
Thud, she barely stuck the landing and leapt once more putting her far ahead of the others, in retrospect she saw another better shortcut, but where she was it was much less likely she would be she would be pushed to the ground and so she stayed where she was grinning, though no one could see it.
