Somehow it sounded less fulfilling than he had imagined. It wasn't the life he had pictured her to have had. Not a life of emptiness, of even loneliness. Somehow he had imagined that even from the very beginning her life had been one big adventure. Maybe she had run away from her mother to find it, but not staying behind...
"It sounds great," he lied failingly. "Familes never quite how you expect them to be."

She took note of his body language and the disappointment he seemed to have. "Sound too dull for a knight in training? I assure you I've got stories galore to share young pup." She smiled warmly. " Have you ever seen a skinwalker as he's about to pounce? About to rip into you all for the sake that your paths crossed?" She chuckled some. "I have.. I've also woken up in strange places after the delirium of my wounds had caused me to travel quite a ways off course. Sure my life's not as exciting as it could have been but then again.. motherhood tends to slow even the most active of mares down some. I'm just starting to get to feel the freedom of one who's young ones have flown the coop so to say."

"Flown the coop?" He smiled at her friendly admonishments. "So now that you're older you can have adventures? And your children....are they having adventures too? Or will they wait till their mothers and fathers too? Are they like you?" He was interested, intrigued.

"Yes, I'm having adventures now once more.. My daughter Tia has been having adventures since she was a filly.. never could keep her in one place for too long. She was always so interested in playing this game she made up.. 'Prot the dragon' Was what it was called." She chuckled lightly, shaking her head. "She's always been so full of pep. Rakshi, my son's been one for adventures himself as well, Lelia.. not so much she did when her siblings would.. but mostly she's always been sort of.. subdued. So, Do you have a sparing partner? Or have you never found one?" It was a valid question, she often sparred with her father for training when she needed it.

"They sound like lots of fun." He smiled at her as she spoke of her family, "Sparring? I never really had anyone to spare with...I mean, my sister was scared of things. She just came along when Ithi and I went. Ithi liked the treasures, the glory of it. That was pretty much it. Neither of them liked sparring or anything like that."

"I see... well I could always be your sparing partner if you like. Just let me know if ever you need a sparing partner.." She nodded a bit and looked around. "May usual training grounds aren't too far away so you can always look me up even if need be. You just head South east of here and you'll come to the clearing I grew up in. It's been a favorite spot of my family for a while."

"I think, I'll do that. Are you sure you wouldn't mind?" He watched her for a moment. He'd never been properly trained, and this was the perfect opportunity.

She gave a hearty chuckle. "I'm sure I don't mind one bit. We might be plagued with my youngest sister and father from time to time but as long at you don't mess with Damia's bow you'll be fine.. she's a tad touchy of it. we've nearly gone to blows just from a bit of sibling teasing where it's come up..." She laughed some. "But siblings will often annoy one another it doesn't mean I care any less for her."

"Thank you. That means alot. I've..never...really...well, I've never been taught. I need to learn, alot." He blushed about it, he'd always had a problem with blushing. "I'm glad you're close to them though. My sister and brother, we have adventures...and I love them. We're close, but sometimes...I just don't know them." He shook his head for a moment.

She nodded with a chuckle. "Yes, well Damia just thinks she hates me... sadly I think she feels that she needs to try and compete for our father's affections.. which truly isn't the case.. he loves all of us equally." She shook her head knowing that her sister was just too young and to loud, proud large and in charge in her mind to really see beyond herself. "I think she just needs some one to protect is all.."

Illarion smiled gently, "I know how it is. Don't we all need someone to protect?" he blushed a bit, thinking of how he had no one to protect...to find...To well anything. "I have to go. But I'll look you up sometime." Scooping up his, fish he turned to go.

She nodded and smiled. " No problem, I'll see you around then." Offering a bow, she turned and headed back the way she'd come from. She'd met a young night and hopefully he'd be getting some direction and training now for his journey.
