Miale nodded resolutely. "I will never give up. I am Firekin, and Firekin never give up." She lifted a paw to pat her chest. "'Cause we've got a fire inside." Even if hers burned deeper than others, and her temper wasn't like others...It just meant her fire would never spend itself too quickly. "Thank you." Her ears perked up and her head turned back to the pride. "I think Daddy is calling me. I should go back."

Mzaa nudged Miale with her nose, "Go to him, and I will see you again."
It was nice, to smile, and have a small one around.
Yes, she missed this so much, she missed her gone children, but there was new fire born here all the time. She looked forward to it.
