"Well I say!" A-4 exclaimed at a-7's display of he-manliness. "Bit barbaric, but I suppose it has it's charms, eh?" Somehow a-4 got the distinct feeling that sort of beefy alpha male thing wouldn't go quite as smoothly for himself should he ever try it, but that didn't keep him from admiring it in action. Quite fit, that a-7.

Once again he found himself questioning which way his wind ah...blew, but quickly switched to other, more important things. Such as the possibility of his having "scholarly" looks. Not quite what he was hoping for really, though at least she hadn't said "bookish." A doctor though? Those were quite good! Then again...they could also be very ah...not good as well. Dr. Good or Dr. Evil? That was the question. One which lingered on it the back of his head as he followed A-7 toward the light, very much not looking at the other man's backside. He had enough to worry about at the moment.

A-Eleven had been poking around in the cornstalks, wondering what they were doing here. A cornfield had to have been planted, right? Who would have planted it? That figure in the cloak? The giant death pony? She doubted it was either one of them. A cornfield seemed of little use to them. Did horses eat corn?

That was when she noticed her phone. Pulling it out, she read the messages. Cryptic and not much help. Though it did seem that time was passing (Morning? Was that why she was to tired?) and that someone, somewhere had earned two pendants. A-Eleven wasn't sure she wanted to know what a 'survival game' was. Though the rewards sounded nice.

Tucking her phone back into her belt she smiled just a bit. While still uneasy in the cornfield, she was much more calm that she had been on the beach. The long walk here had been good for her. A chance to think about things. She felt good about the decisions she'd made. If she was going to survi--

Suddenly, things around her got brighter. She stood and turned just in time to see A-Ten pointing at...a light. That explained the sudden brightness, but what was it? It had to mean something, right? Why else would would it have appeared?
She watched as some of their group went to check it out, and decided to follow. That had been one of the decisions she'd made during the walk to the fields. No more 'just watching'. If she was going to survive, she had to act.

"I'm going to go check it out, too," she said as she moved to investigate the light source. It was a bright, shiny light, how could she not walk towards it?

Z4 had been nervously singing ever still, but finally stopped at the sound of a text message and movement around him. They were moving out again? Wonderful! Oh, a bright light! Marvelous! Humming under his breath, he followed the others to go see exactly what was going on.

Adventure!

Zeta Eight looked like her eyeballs were going to roll out of their sockets. No one could see them, of course, but with the way she rolled her head away from the three Alphas playing their childish game of 'chicken,' it was obvious enough to any onlooker. If that wasn't enough, she seemed to seal her obvious annoyance with a prompt dismissal, turning her back on them to move to the edge of the clearing they had made in the cornfield, staring warily through the edge of the stalks.

As it looked, something much more interesting than standing watch while her new teammates slept or the argument between Alphas 10, 7 and 4 was happening. The beam of light caught her attention as it had the rest of the group, her eyes turned upward towards the beam as it came crashing down into the cornfields somewhere, already grabbing for the handle of her mace. She wasn't the first one to dash towards it -- it slowed her down considerably -- but she would be ready, should anything appear.

Really, the smarter thing to have done would have been to stay behind. Curiosity killed the cat and all that s**t, if she remembered correctly. But her blood was still boiling with the irritation

A-One smiled under his mask but said nothing as he watched the interaction. Tired, yeah. He was just gonna hang out and catch his breath, regain a little energy.

When the light flashed over the cornfields like a beacon, his head snapped up. Trap? Maybe, maybe not. At any rate, it looked like they were going to go see, and it was a direction to start in. He waited to make sure that nobody had been left behind before moving towards the light.

A-Nine was dozing but it was becoming increasingly hard to do so with everyone shifting and moving about. Corn could be surprisingly noisy and rustle-ey. Was that a word?

Wait. That rustling.... A-Nine sat up to see the rest of her team heading off through the field, moving towards some sort of light. "H-hey! Wait for me!" she called after them.

Her side ached. Everything hurt more than it should... pondering for a moment, biting her lip under the mask, A-Two finally made her decision. She pulled one of her medkits and used it as best she could. It seemed to work despite her ineptitude...

... but she had to focus, such that when she looked up all she saw was the sudden light, and the backs of her squadmates. "Yeah, wait up!" she called, echoing A-Nine as she ran after them.
