The name sent shivers up her spine. There was much more to her story than you would be able to imagine. She had lost her twin sister and it was still a wound that never healed. It had been a few years now since Lexi passed. Her life was not something you would call a fairytale. Not one of those bedtime stories. Then again, no matter what the story was, whenever someone would die in it, they would always describe it the same way-calm, peaceful, like falling asleep. And whenever a character would wake up, they described streets of gold, or endless happiness, seeing their loved ones.
But those stories were damn wrong. Death was not peaceful. It wasn't merciful. It wasn't like falling asleep. It was like falling straight into the pits of hell and no matter how strongly you fought, you couldn't stop your descent. She knew at the moment of her future death, she would feel all the feelings of self loathing and regret disappear as her heart had taken its final beat. Everything would go away, and nothing was left but sweet succulent darkness. She only wished her life could be a fairytale. No matter what, it would end happily. But no, her life was living a nightmare or a horror movie.
There was no way she was going to face the snake lady again. No possible way. Even if she had to do it to save her life. "I don't have the courage to face Medusa for a second time. I rather go into the underworld." she said as she moved towards the right. Not only that, but Hecate was a chthonic deity and also had a share of the earth, sky, and heaven. She would not be harmed entering the underworld. "You're not the only one from the underworld." she smiled at the daughter of Hades.

Phoebe frowned. "Are you sure?" she asked, then looked at Bree. She smiled softly at her brother, "I think I'll go with Bryony. You stay safe, okay?" she asked, looking at him intently. "You are going to come back to me alive, little brother." She smiled again at Tyler, gave him a quick hug and went to stand at the right of the benches.

Artemis entered the hideout. She listened intently to what the girl was saying. She thought she saw a small blush which crept upon the girl's cheek when she finished mentioning Hades and Persephone. She made up her mind and went and stood to the left of the benches. Medusa would any day beat the Underworld.

~Isabel Aquidro~Isabel started looking back and forth between the left and the right then decided. "Since only Artemis is going on the Medusa quest... I'll go with her." Isabel whispered to herself then stood to the left of the benches. She then saw her brother walk in. "Oh brother..." Isabel sighed.Julian Johnson"Hello. I choose Medusa." Julian said as if he had been there the whole time. Then he stood to the left with Isabel.

He smiled at his sister. When he saw Alexis going over to the Underworld side, he stood next to her. "Good luck Alexis, come back alive okay? And keep an eye on Phoebe too." he said and walked over to the Medusa side. There were only 3 people. A beautiful girl, a nerdy looking guy, and a little teenager. "So...is this it?". Tyler could already feel the need to adopt the status 'leader'. HARRY BELLIC; SON OF POSEIDONHarry wasn't quite sure, but it sounded like the Underworld had more action than a lame gnome emporium. He got up and bolted over to the Underworld side.

Artemis looked up when she heard the guys voice. She looked around at everyone on this side of the benches. A cute girl, and two boys. The blond guy without the glasses was asking if this was it. "Apparently, yes. I'm Artemis, by the way. Daughter of Aphrodite. Nice to meet you all."

She grinned. "My dad thought it would be hilarious," Artemis said, referring to her name. A lot of people had asked her that, and almost every time she shrugged it off as a joke. Each time she had to quell the fear and regret that rose up in her gut. "Thank you," she said, bowing her head graciously. "Being a daughter of the Goddess of Love does that to you," she grinned again. Tyler wasn't that bad looking either.
Something pricked her in the back of her mind. A presence . . . No, something similar to a presence. It hovered there for a few seconds and was gone. Puzzled, she looked at the one other person whom she guessed would know what that presence meant, the daughter of Dionysus.

 <)(B)(R)(Y)(O)(N)(Y)(> <<Daughter of Dionysus>> At the sound of Eros' voice fluttering through her mind, Bryony couldn't stop the blush that appeared and the slowly growing smile. To cover it she turned and started erasing the dry erase board. No one needed to see this now. She cleared her throat, mostly from embarrassment, but to also get their attention.
"Okay, we have our teams. Though don't think for one second that the Gnome emporium is just going to be a cake walk, it was once the base of the titan lord Kronos when he tried to take over Olympus a few years ago. It's a hot spot for monster activity. The attacks you lived through to get to this point...is nothing to what you may find there." She tossed the Medusa team a bronze square the size of a cell phone, but it didn't look like a cell phone. On it was etched Greek symbols and the symbol for Hephaestus.
"That is a communicator, it's pretty old fashioned but we don't really have enough money to get the upgrade...and Zeus kinda sees this as a way to communicate with the Gods, so let's just keep this under our thoughts okay. Use it to talk to me. " She opened her own bronze rectangle up and inside was small unattractive hearing aid looking devices. Bryony blew some dust off on ans as an example stuck it in her ear.
"Monster's can't hear or track you through these like a normal cellphone, and they only can receive and send to other communicators so keep these with you at all times. I'll pop in later and help you find what I think we're looking for." Bryony turned to her own team.
"Put yours in to. "
She held out the small container with just enough devices for them. "Everyone needs to keep in touch and check in frequently, but don't let the monsters get wind of this. When you're done with them put them back into the container to recharge."
With a determined look to the Medusa team, Bryony gave a smile. "That's it. You guys should hurry. Remember not to use public transport, keep off the roads and don't talk to anybody. Be safe and let the Gods be with you."
Now it was her teams turn. "You guys probably won't like this but I was given a ...bouquet...of weeds..." She smirked warily. "Persephone is calling us to the Underworld and I have no Idea why, which puts me on edge. She did however hint to a problem with the Underworld itself. Everyone will need to take a dandelion and blow on it...it's supposed to take us to Persephone's throne automatically."

So to answer your question: Yes, I'm sure I'm ready to go into the Underworld" he said as he cracked his neck and knuckles to prepare for what's in store at the Underworld. "Indeed it does." he responded and turned to the rest of the group. He caught the hearing aid. "I guess that's it then. Everyone keep on your toes okay?" He shot a determined look at Bryony. "Alright then, may as well leave from now. We have a long way to New Jersey" he ordered, in a sort of stern way and walked out of the hideout.

<)(B)(R)(Y)(O)(N)(Y)(> <<Daughter of Dionysus>> Bryony gave her head a slight shake in remorse, wondering if that would be the last time she'd see any of them again. It just felt off, something from somewhere was puppeteering them all, and she couldn't tell who or if it was real or just paranoia. Resuming her resolute expression she turned to he team.
"Okay everyone on the count of three, blow on your dandelions and we should be at the throne room in the Underworld, weapons ready, we don't know what will be waiting for us." She couldn't to three and blew on her dandelion, and as the small white fluffs few from the stem she felt her body being transported through a sheet of cold ice and death. The barrier to the Underworld that was put up by Hades himself to make sure the dead stayed in no matter what Gaia did to set them free through passages in the Earth. This sensation made her feel as if she was being microwaved, hot on the outside but freezing in the middle.
